Variety for breakfasts, also the fact when you ordered it was then cooked fresh - so much better than food left for everybody to help themselves. Less chance of germs. Yoghurts on ice was a great idea. Presentation also excellent. Staff from receptionist to cleaners were so very helpful. Room very cosy as well . Pity we didnt get a one at the front for the view. maybe next time.

Uneven levels so had to use stairs part way. Chipped tiles on bathroom floor and a bit uneven .

The hotel was in a brilliant location for access to the city & close to public transport. Staff were all very friendly & effective in delivering high standard of service. The room was presented to a high standard. It had a lovely, comfy bed and excellent walk-in shower. They .mentioned some refurbishment was underway, but I didn't see any workmen. Obviously, they accessed from a staff entrance !

Personally prefer to make my own coffee from a self serve machine at breakfast rather than get a pot of coffee. It's just quicker and more efficient when in a rush to get out of the door.

Great hotel and restaurant on the promenade and near to bus station and shopping centre. Staff were very friendly and the grade of room was comfortable and functional. (315). Our shower was a corner style and me being on the large side, it was incredibly tight. I wish I had taken up the offer prior arriving of upgrading to a sea view room, more money but I think it would be worth it. Early morning alarms were provided by the sea gulls, but what do you expect being right on the seafront .

This was our second time staying at Claremont. Staff are exceptional, they catered to our every need both stays. Helped us through a very difficult time on our first stay and this stay also. Our rooms were cleaned every morning and fresh towels left. Weather update for the following morning and chocolates on the pillow.

Air conditioning seemed to be on fully every evening which left the lobby very cold so we asked for this to be turned off every night and staff were more than happy to help so wasn't that much of a problem

Beakfast is served in the main dining room, which has a good view across the bay and, if lucky a good view of sunrise. There is plenty of food to choose from on the menu, it's simply a case of personal choice.

On occassion the dinner service it's accomadid by too loud 'background musak', played i feel for the benifit of the staff than the dinner, but a polite request to 'turn it down', usually will bring results. The food is good too!.

Can't fault this hotel spotless, smelt lovely, if you book.. book with breakfast choice is huge hot and cold. Staff are lovely .. location is 2 minutes from ferry.

We stayed in 319 which is at the back by an alley as it was hot we had a fan and the windows open but we were woken at 6 with the sound of cages being pushed down the alley .. probably wouldn't be an issue with the windows shut .. however as we are early risers it wasn't much of an issue to us. But I thought it's worth noting

Hotel was very clean, rooms were very well equipped, even had long shoe horn, clothes brush as well as usual items. Staff were very pleasant, any issue they helped. Kersia think her name was, managed rooms was exceptional. Breakfast couldn't be better, selection and staff great. Evening dinner not enough selection for me, needs more variation. Location, very close to town and docks which has advantages and disadvantages. Easy to get ferry and go shopping, seagulls and early bin emptying ensured an early wakening. There are good restaurants fairly close by the marina, so overall would just agree to the 4 star rating

Room facilities and cleanliness gave it a clear 4 star, breakfast together with staff similar.

Attention to detail, chocolates on pillow and presentation and standards or communal areas and dining areas. The staff were professional and attentive. The facilities in the room were excellent.

I think your front facade needs attention - over the main door the building fabric is deteriorating and you have some vegetation growth in places, the exterior paintwork needs a refresh. You may also wish to consider a central handrail on the main entrance staircase.

Good location. Comfortable bed and powerful shower facilities. Lots of hot water. Good choice of food for breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. Great to have bottles of water alongside tea and coffee facilities.

The windows in the bedroom were glazed so little direct sunlight. I realize the view wasn't a good one hence the glazing but it made the room a little dark. The shower tiles could have been cleaner. A full length mirror would have been a nice addition

The location was great, easy access to the port. The breakfast was first class and the hotel was extremely clean. Complimentary papers in the morning was a nice touch. Very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

The only complaint we had was the location of our room and the fact the windows had an obscure film over them so you couldn’t see out. Maybe the view wasn’t the best as we were at the back of the hotel, but it would have been nice to see what the weather conditions were before leaving the room. The lift was a bonus, but more info about stairs should be included. We got out of the lift on the 3rd floor and then had to go down approx 7 stairs and then back up the same again. Until we realised getting out at the 2nd floor only incurred one flight up. Definitely need to question room location if you struggle with steps.
