Very clean facilities, well maintained. Amazing staff, super friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed with two plug points and even a small alcove to store your belongings on the top bunk. Room is limited to 5 guests so it is very quiet at night and easy to rest without any disturbances. Security is great with different passkey for hostel and room entrance. Location is in Osu area close to many shopping facilities and two subway lines for access around the area. I found it easy for my day trips. But if you are frequently travelling from Nagoya station this location can be a bit awkward as you need to do two transfers. Its not too far however.

-It would be nice if they can provide a handwash or hand sanitiser in the toilets. -Making your own bed is a bit awkward on the top bunk. 😞 -Male and female toilets/showers are not separated.

(edit after another stay in November 2022) - all the staff is friendly and helps you with useful recommandations in Nagoya. They are easy to talk to, in english and japanese. To the point I became friend with some of them and could enjoy Nagoya even more. - whole guesthouse feels brand new, clean and confortable. All equipments work properly, wifi is good. - common area is confortable and near a small area where you can prepare simple food or make coffee and tea. Tea and coffee are available for free. It's worth to mention that the common area is available all day and night, and is confortable enough for guest to stay for a long time and eventually meet other guests. This happened to me many times. - the dormitory is large enough to put your luggage without it getting on the way. - beds in dormitory are very clean and there is a bit of space to put your items, as well as a small locker (you just need to tell the staff to get the key) - washing machine and dryer are available for a small fee, I used both and they worked well - the guesthouse is well located near Osu shopping district, and you can reach the metro station in a few minutes

- it wasn't really an issue for me but the kitchen is very simple so don't expect to cook advanced dishes there. This space is mainly to make tea/coffee, warm up a bento or eat very simple dishes.

- Clean room, shower and toilets. - Big space for me to put my luggage. - Each bed is provided with bedlight and socket. - Close to a bus stop if you were to go to Nagoya Station. - Really close to a shopping street (dont remember what it's name). - I arrived around 10am and the door was locked when I arrived to keep my luggage, since the check in is at 3pm. Luckily, there were guests in the living room to help open the door. Perhaps to inform the guests on the passcode if they arrived early.

- The shower rooms are only on one floor and it is mixed gender (of course there is a lock for each of the shower cubicle). A little bit uncomfortable for me, but luckily there were no man when I had to use the shower.

We had a wonderful stay at the Trip and Sleep Hostel. As a family of four, our kids especially loved the bunk beds and enjoyed eating our convenience-store dinner in the communal lounge. The unisex shower rooms were clean and functional—though I was initially unsure, they turned out to be just fine. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hostel offers complimentary coffee and tea, and you can fill your water bottle in the kitchen. To our surprise, despite this being our first hostel experience, it was incredibly quiet, and all the guests were respectful. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from a shopping street with easy access to everything we needed. After a long drive from Kobe, we were greeted warmly by the English-speaking staff. The rooms felt very secure, with double doors and a unique passcode for each guest. Making our own beds was simple, and fresh towels were available for ¥100 each. There’s also a self-service laundry for ¥400 per load, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a great stay in a well-situated and friendly hostel!

Not a huge deal, but one extra pillow would’ve been lovely

The people working here are very friendly and helpful. Gave amazing suggestions for food. The system is also flexible which is unusual in Japan lol, they allowed me to store my bag in the hostel for a day even tho I was at a different hostel because I was coming back to this hostel after. Super great location if you’re into the touristy things.

I stayed in the dorms and the ventilation wasn’t great at all. I had to sleep with the privacy curtain open, so no privacy for me. If you turn up the AC, it’s too noisy, if you don’t, it’s too hot. Also, while seemingly clean, I’m pretty sure they don’t wipe down their bed frames with disinfectant as mine was dusty.

The location was very convenient, as it was close to the subway station. The hostel is where I had the most pleasant conversation with the staff. They speak really good and understandable English. I am also grateful that they accommodated my request regarding the bed. I guess my bed was comfortable and I was too tired that night, I slept like a baby and didn't notice the noise, even though my bed was right next to the door.

It'd be better if men and women had separate showers. Sharing the same space can be awkward for some individuals.

First of all, I love how friendly the staff are. Majority of them speaks English and they are really fun to have a chat with. They make you feel welcome and at home. They welcome us back and ask us how was out day. They are also really helpful and assisted me wholeheartedly for requests, particularly helping me find my lost item all the way in Tokyo. Second thing that I like is that the facility is also clean and well-maintained. The place is spotless and organized. Third, I also like the location as it is just situated in the Osu Shopping strip and is 8-10mins walk to the subway stations.

Nothing! My stay in Trip & Sleep Hostel is perfect! 😊 I will definitely choose to stay here again when I come back to Nagoya! 😊

Very friendly staff, comfy beds and human-sized rooms. The location is great, it's clean, and there is an elevator which is a big plus for big suitcases. I had a good time.

The fact that there's no sink nearby the bathrooms makes it a bit weird. We have to go down to the 2nd floor each time to wash our hands. The tiny hand towel should be provided straight away on arrival. I think kitchen utensils could be organized in a different way that feels more hygienic. Groups of people that share the same room were a bit noisy at night, knocking at their door (kind reminder about not knocking should be written on doors).

Everything was great! The bed was very comfortable and the curtains give you privacy in the dorm and darkness to sleep. The location is great, near to a metro station and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly, I had a great time during my stay!

There is not such thing as a kitchen, only a fridge and a microwave, so you can't prepare your meals. Is not a big issue, but it shouldn't be advertised with a kitchen.

Loved how friendly and helpful the staff were. Was immaculately clean for the most part. Beds were comfortable really enjoyed the property. Liked that they enforced shoes off at the door and provided indoor footwear. Close to shops and restaurants. Not too far from station to walk. Tea & coffee downstairs.

The lavatories didn’t always have soap and could’ve been a bit cleaner. Be nice to have an area to store pantry/non-perishable food items like others hostels that have a shelf with small bins/baskets to label.
