I am small in height but wide-ish in girth. I found the shower a bit cramped, also the shower folding door does not close fully. Floor between bedroom & bathroom has a slight dip in floor, made me feel unsteady. Bed was very comfortable. Everybody was helpful & friendly. I have mild mobility issue, I use a walker, staff offered to help me up & down front steps on several occasions and offered to let me use an indoor walking aid as there are steps inside hotel even after getting out of lift, but it was manageable. Breakfast was very nice, I enjoyed my break & will definitely be back to Isle of man, even if I can't manage to book hotel again. The hotel is old and a bit quirky in lay-out. I did inform hotel I had slight mobility issue re-steps and stairs, I knew there is several steps at front of hotel but didn't realise steps as you get out of lift, quirky ! The shower was cramped slightly, I'm not sure if they have an adapted room for people like me but I should of done my homework more thoroughly, I managed ok, overall I coped.

Its a twee place in a fantastic location. There is parking across the road with 16 hours at a time with a parking disc so get it from.the ferry terminal when you arrive. The food is good quality and they were only too happy to use our alternative milk to make lattes and store it in their fridge. Buffet was always hot. When guest numbers are low they cook breakfast on demand. Single glazed windows but this didnt make it cold even in December. Value for money for facilities and location is exceptional.

The contractors who were hired to change carpets took the roll.of new carpet through the dining room at breakfast time which wasnt pleasing then they proceeded to bang the carpet down above the dining room which was noisy and you didnt know what delights were going to drop from the ceiling. We didnt drink in the bar or try the Mexican underneath but they were always busy so i could.suggest its good food.

Lovely stay at The Hydro Hotel! Myself, husband, 7 month old and dog stayed here for 3 nights. Very comfy, clean room. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Dogs were welcomed at no extra charge but were not aloud at breakfast which is for the best. Great value for money - would definitely stay again!

Hotel was a little dated but very clean and tidy. Rooms were refreshed every day with bed made and clean towels which was very nice.

Amazing value for money. Unexpectedly pet friendly. Busy restaurant under the hotel was unfortunately fully booked (which is a good sign), so we didn’t eat there, but they allowed us to order takeaway and eat in the bar instead. Free on street parking, and plenty of space. Wifi was great, TVs in the rooms but we didn’t use them. Rooms were very large. For the price, it was a great experience all round.

I don’t want to nitpick considering the pros of this hotel, but some constructive criticism I feel is always appreciated. I would have liked some other brands of nonalcoholic beers stocked in the bar, but I appreciate that not many people request nonalcoholic beers on site. But that’s it.

Our experience at the hydro hotel was great we travelled as a group of 3 and a dog, our favourite part of our experience that really wowed us was the staff! The staff was so nice and we immediately felt welcome. We booked a room for 3 and the lovely lady at the reception gave us a different room with extra space for free! Great hotel. We will stay here again if we were to go back.

The breakfast was good. Good sausages and bacon. The room was clean, the (single) bed was comfortable. The water was hot and plentiful, the staff friendly. Real ale in the lounge, and the lady of the house kept my medicines in the 'fridge as I requested. I couldn't ask for more.

The floor covering in the bathroom looked a bit tired. No serious complaints though.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were very happy to book taxis for me in the mornings. I appreciated the fact that they allowed me to return to the hotel after my final morning in order to finish off some work even though I had checked out. The trip to the airport was very straightforward as the bus stop was directly opposite the hotel, and the bus stopped outside the main terminal entrance. Breakfast was excellent and the location on the promenade is very good, with a pub and restaurants nearby. The hotel was excellent value for money, and I'm hoping to revisit soon.

There is nothing that I didn't like.

Wonderful location overlooking Newquay Harbour. Relaxed unpretentious personal service. The bedrooms they are very clean, well furnished with a sea view. Harbour views and all public rooms and restaurants directly overlook the sea. Free wifi and fluffy duvets.

Friendly staff went out of their way to help you. Also, my dog was allowed to stay, which was great rather than put him in a kennel .The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast value for the money would stay again

Perfect location, great room for myself. Breakfast was help yourself buffet with served tea, coffee. Hotel manager informative of places to visit and staff were friendly! Hotel bar has a great selection of beers and they were chatty when you were sat in the bar.

The room had a slight funky smell to it, was clean and tidy but smelt a bit dated like a nursing home maybe. No other complaints.
