Lovely spacious rooms Great staff and facilities
Food - we ate in the bar for lunch and dinner. Very expensive for both and food was of a very low standard. Toasted special, Caesar salad and pasta of the day particular poor, bland, appeared to be heavily microwaved and quality of ingredients low - definitely pre packed chicken and one slice of wafer thin ham in €12 toasted special. We had pre booked the bar for dinner before arrival, asked to be moved to restaurant for dinner having been disappointed by lunch but no availability unfortunately.

Fantastic location with stunning views, walking routes aplenty, nice relaxed atmosphere with guests of mixed ages, and easy to explore local sights. The outdoor heated adults pool is so relaxing with great views over the bay. We also enjoyed the food in the Doolittle bar - tasty & well priced. The live pianist in Doolittle bar added a great atmosphere!
The bed was quite hard. No fridge in the room meant no ability to have chilled water. The bathroom is quite small, hard to move around with the door so close to the toilet. Staff were nice, but there wasn’t the same warmth and chattiness that you get in some Irish country hotels. Some dishes served at dinner in Pygmalion were pretty average - burnt rice accompanied a main dish and the bread basket was a bit stale. We found breakfast pretty basic - no proper coffee machine, not great options for dairy alternatives. Fresh fruit selection was basic - no berries etc. I would advise improving your breakfast offering to really make this a great destination!

We had a fantastic few days staying here. The hotel has the most beautiful location beside the see and indeed on the ring of Kerry also. The rooms were spotless and a good size. Staff were very friendly and seservice was excellent. I have to compliment them on their food as it was fantastic. Great to see they had a separate Vegan/vegetarian menu with plenty of choice. Even today this is rarely seen. Beautiful vegan breakfast and again plenty of choice. The outdoor heated infinity pool was amazing and great after a mountain hike. Would definitely stay here again. They also have some free activities like guided shore walks. Don't forget to meet the owls on a Wednesday morning, all for free.
The only thing I found was the bed being too firm but I being picky.

Location, spa, restaurant, fireplace, books, interior design, waiters in the restaurants, WiFi.
The booking system for spa, restaurant and activities are split to different entities, so it makes it disjoined booking system and even hard to book via booking (as main reception 3 times could not properly book for a spa, had to contact with spa directly) Room are start to feel old , some of facilities need to be in better condition for such price (blocked sink - water out slowly, not working extractor in bathroom, telephone short keys are not working which makes impossible to contact with reception or spa from the room, no room guide book with description of room, hotel facilities, telephone numbers, etc)

We travelled to Parknasilla for our honeymoon, and it was an absolute dream. The rooms, facilities and location were all fantastic, but the staff were exceptional - so welcoming and friendly, they all helped to make our stay one we'll remember forever. We can't wait to go back! The indoor pool and infinity pool were both beautiful, and the spa facilities were some of the best we've experienced. We went in May and it was busy without being cramped. The breakfasts and restaurant were both lovely, and the rooms really well decorated and comfortable. The location is very special, with it being set right on Kenmare Bay with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The Ring of Kerry was easily accessible, but it felt like a remote bubble. Would highly recommend renting kayaks for an hour - we went out and came across a seal colony which was so exciting. Beautiful walks in the grounds and around the islets, the walk to the castle/walled gardens was a great way to explore the area.
Nothing, it was amazing.

The main restaurant and the smaller restaurant offered very good food. The staff were very efficient and the Breakfast every morning was excellent - both the ordered 'Irish Breakfast' and the buffet. The pool area was simply brilliant. Not many (if any) hotels offer a view from the pool area and the infinity pool of mountains and estuary. I also went for a swim each morning in the sea by walking 3minutes to the hotel's own jetty. At 7.00am to 8.00am, I was the only one in the water each morning. Fantastic ! We both wanted to relax and get away from the city. Parknasilla was the perfect hotel for us.
The room fitout was poor. The kettle cable was so short, we had to put the kettle on the floor to boil. There was no wardrobe, just an alcove with a cheap pole across for hanging up clothes. The Iron, shoe cleaning items were on the floor in full view - Very cheap, considering the cost of the room. There was no fridge in the room either. Almost hate saying these negatives, because our stay for three nights was overall brilliant. We loved it here, and would go back again.

Breakfast was excellent - good choice of continental to help yourself to with an equally good choice of cooked options from the menu and served to you after you had finished your cereal or continental selection. What we were particularly impressed was the attention to detail. You were not rushed to place your order with the waiters waiting until you finished eaten your starter before taking your order. Between us one the 3 days we sampled salmon and scrambled eggs, full Irish breakfasts, Omelettes and Kippers - all excellent . On the one wet day of our stay we spent time in the thermal spa with choice of salt, herb and stone hot rooms and an indoor and outdoor infinity pool. We ate in the Doolittle bar for dinner and again the food was excellent. The grounds are a must with various trails and we did a fair bit of walking whilst there.

The location was amazing. The hotel is spotless and the staff consistently impress. Some of the included features like a tour of the immediate area with a marine biologist were fascinating. There are many walks around the property giving great views. Food was of very high standard both for breakfast and evening mails. We ate in both restaurants and were impressed in both. There are many public relaxation areas were you can sit quietly and read or relax in comfort.
In the room there were no plugs immediately by the beds. That's it, there was nothing else we could think of.

This was our favorite place to stay, the staff is beyond accommodating & the property is stunning! We had to leave before breakfast both mornings for excursions. They prepared takeaway for us (eggs/bacon in 2 boxes) and a soft sided cooler with fruit & sandwiches for snacks. The 2nd morning, we received paper sack breakfasts with our choice of breakfast since we departed that day. The infinity pool is unbelievable & a must do while there. My husband enjoyed 9 holes of golf the day we arrived & the views of the bay were beautiful. I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone. You're truly treated like royalty here!

Welcome to old world charm country house manor setting with 5 * Service and fabulous food wine and cocktails. Attentive professional friendly staff
Bed was disappointing too firm not luxurious and not comfy so didnt feel well rested nx morning and missed my swim. However brekkie was plentiful and very satisfying. No spare pillows to be found in wardrobe in room which was disappointing. No fresh flowers in room. No mints on pillows. Room was stuffy should have been aired ahead of our arrival. I wasnt told bedroom was at the rear would hve liked choice of frontfacing room overlooking the water. Only 1 bottle of water in room. Considering it was summer would have liked another. Wanted to stay friday nite aswell but alas hotel couldnt give me same discount rate that i got for thurs nite.
