Aircon was a hit, heated floor & toweling rack in bathroom, room was very spacious, location was good, close to all the amenities, friendly and helpful staff, appreciated the fridge/freezer.

Having to ask for a rubbish bin empty and requesting for clean towels, had to buy our own toilet paper, there's a TV but no access to channels, just Netflix & you tube, parking was hoha, climbing the stairs to get to our room, no info provided in the room about the Lodge services, the bathroom should have been swept.

Pleasant suprise once you open the door to the hallway on level 1. Hallways and Room were super clean and comfortable. Love all the little nature themed design elements. Well equipped. Location- easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, huge room and bathroom, there was more than enough space for the four of us in the room with 2x queen and 1 single. Excellent customer service.

More suggestions for improvements than dislikes. There was a leak in the bathroom sink- didn't affect us too much, but there was a small puddle on the tiled floor underneath the sink with every use, which we threw a towel over. There was no fan in the bathroom, although there was a dehumidifier in the room. Could use with a retractable line in the bathroom. Hard to locate turn with GPS.

We arrived well after the reception had closed yet Shehan the Motel Manager was gracious and accommodating. He even stayed on the phone with me until I secured the motel key he had left me in a lock box. He made it a 5star experience. Family of 5 who were flying out of Auckland the following morning so we only stayed one night.

The location is fine with adequate parking as it shares parking with restaurants and shops however the entrance was on the side of the building which made it tricky in the night.

The first experience with the staff was bad. When I called to ask about the late check in instructions I was told I didn’t have a booking and they were fully booked even though I had booked weeks before and had been massaging them back and forth. However everything after that worked well I got a call back, quick email with accurate check in instructions, room was nice, clean, warm and comfortable. I would stay again.

Staff were not very good responding to messages or very competent on the phone either.

The room we stayed in was clean, spacious and modern. Beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchenette and included appliances were well maintained. Room was in a secured location as the hallway leading to it was not open to the public.

The kitchenette did not have a sink which made washing dishes or hands limited to only one person at a time. There were no extra mirrors in the room. This meant that only one person could use the bathroom mirror at any given time.

It was very clean and we did not expect that there was extra room service. We were surprised and happy that our room was cleaned and we were provided new towels and toiletries. There was also Netflix and Wifi was strong. It was also not too noisy around the neighbourhood and parking was free and not by the main road which was safe enough. Security system is also modern and has camera’s on the hallway. Location was great at it was near the mall. It was also nice and warm and dont really need the heatpump most of the time. Shower was clean and spacious and water pressure was strong. Price was affordable and exceeded our expectation. Staff was also very kind and professional and was kind enough to wait before closing time. Check out time is also reasonable and we did not have to rush. So far the best motel we stayed at.

Nothing really but There was no kitchen sink but made sense as they do room service and they replaced our used dishes. If you need to clean something, the bathroom sink was also big enough.

It's a convenient location, very quiet with easy free parking. Plenty of Asian restaurants around and I enjoyed the one downstairs. My request to check in early was promptly accepted, very friendly staff. It is very convenient for the airport and SH1. Rooms are large, well equipped and light.

Perhaps due to my early arrival, the room had not been cleaned.

Bakers Lodge is an excellent place to stay when you need to be close to Middlemore Hospital. The unit was well equipped. It looks newly renovated with brand new bathroom and stylish fixtures & fittings throughout. I felt quite safe.

There was nothing about Bakers Lodge, that I didn't like. I decided not to go for a walk at night after hearing that the Jewellers shop down the road had been broken into recently. I had no problem walking in the neighborhood in the morning.

The interior is really well presented, like newly renovated and very tasteful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very nice also. It's walking distance to a shopping plaza with supermarket and eateries. The wireless internet was good in our room, near reception. Netfilx and Youtube were provided.

They didn't remove our rubbish on day 2. I had to take it to reception. They took the rubbish the following day but didn't replace the bag. Apparently a misunderstanding as they said my wife had stopped them doing a room service when what she had meant was the bedding does not need to be changed. As with some other hotels, there was no kitchen sink. We had to do our dishes in the bathroom. The hotel does not have it's own parking but there's free parking adjoining the building.

There are not many places in auckland where you get free parking, the room was clean, the staff friendly, and the bathroom is exceptional, hands down the best bathroom we have had while staying in auckland, great place to stay if you are using it as a base to explore

There is nothing that stands out that would have made our stay uncomfortable. If i were to be picky, the table top was loose, one of the chairs had a leg shorter than the others, there were only two towels for our family room booking for 4. The water pressure was good, but the shower head could be better.
