Location is fantastic... just a short stroll from the Salamanca Market! We were two couples travelling together and having two kind bedrooms and two bathrooms was great. The newly renovated suite was lovely, with excellent quality fittings etc. Beds were super comfy and the furnishings were stylish. Housekeeping staff were warm, friendly and super efficient! Would definitely stay again!

The only vague downside would be that the kitchen has no large knives which made meal preparation difficult. We were staying for a full week and wanted to avail ourselves of some of the beautiful fresh produce in Hobart to prepare some meals. With only a small paring knife, it was difficult. The other kitchen issue was that there were only four cups, four plates, four bowls etc., which meant we had to run the dishwasher at least twice per day ie once after breakfast and again after dinner. We had two days off which meant those days we had lunch in the apartment as well and so we had to run it three times those days. Not great for the environment.

Needed to walk a huge hill to get to the reception area for this stay- which actually was a reception area for a totally different hotel. Better communication on this would be better. Room was simple. Two beds. Laundry in Bathroom which we appreciated. Location right on the harbor next to the university- still a walk to get to the restaurants. Limited parking. Parked on the street and took a chance not to get a parking ticket which we did not get. adequate. Next time probably not.

Locked door to the facility - note said up the hill to reception. Hills in 3 direction- not the best start. View out the window was of university not of the harbor.

The apartment was well-appointed and in a great location for our group, some of whom had difficulty walking. We could all wander down to Salamanca Place and along the wharves. The hill up to Battery Point was a bit of a challenge for some but we all did it! What a fantastic area.

I know interruptions throughout the day interfere with Receptionists completing their work, but I would have liked them to have acknowledged our presence when we entered Reception. Just a nod or smile or 'Be right with you' would have been better than being ignored until it was our turn. Once it was our turn, however, they were very friendly and helpful.

Great location.

Very difficult to get toand from suites to hotel for checkin. We arrived with luggage at hotel. My husband and I who are both elderly expected some assistance. When I asked if someone could show us toour room, the woman at registration pointed out the window toward our building. Getting down the steep hill with a roller was dangerous. We liked the property and loved the location but think guests should be aware of this hazard.

We ended up staying an extra night. It was very comfortable and warm and the location was perfect for us as it was within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Very clean and well maintained with everything self contained accommodation should have. This was our favourite place to stay on our two week trip to Tasmania.

Only that I had to walk up a giant hill to check-in and check out! :-)

Good location. Friendly staff. Close to activities. Nice old buildings with history. Lots of restaraunts, bars and pubs. Also a short walk from the CBD.

The walls were not a very good sound barrier. Most of the time you could hear people in the hallway so clearly, it was like they were standing in the doorway with the door open. And on our last night, the people in the room next door were having a party and it sounded like they were in our living room. The bed also has a large noticeable divide in the middle (to accommodate being able to split it into 2x singles) but was not comfortable when trying to sleep close to my partner.

location, location and location! (if you dont mind walking up the hills a bit). the property's just being renovated so things are clean and new. there are plenty of shops and resto around and also there's salamanca supermarket which is only short walk. Just minutes walk to the ports/meeting points if you want to catch up tour and/trip around hobart. we love hobart in general and this property made our trip's even better. would go back to this property again for sure.

New, clean, spacious & comfortable apartment. Very comfortable beds. Amazingly surprised by the heated bathroom floor! Good layout. Excellent location. 2 to 5 mins walk to most of the places of interest around the Salamanca area. Near to supermarket and many eateries. The manager, George, was really helpful. We had an amazing experience staying at Salamanca Suites.

Cannot think of anything not to like about the place.

Upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment (from a studio) was nice. Plenty of space for 2 people. The location was extremely convenient, views would have been nice, but we booked for price and proximity to town so can't complain. Everything was really clean and well presented. Bathroom was huge, the double shower head was amazing! And the heating was essential and worked really well.

The room are a little dark, not a lot of natural light gets in but we weren't spending much time in the room so that was ok.

Not enough hooks in bathroom to hang towels, clothes, dressing gowns. Needed at least 4 more. Kitchen counter was a bit cramped. Need to add a small sharp knife to cutlery set. Not enough hangars for a weeks stay need at least 6-8 more than the 4 there. Pedestals next to bed are totally impracticable for putting your phone, ipad, glasses, cup of tea on. Remove the mini bar. No one uses them and they just take up needed space in the draws and fridge. Overall small things that could be easily fixed for me to give this room a 10/10
