I would thoroughly recommend this hostal for a stay in central Madrid. It was perfectly clean, the staff friendly and efficient and the building itself clean and safe. It is in walking distance of all the facilities of the city centre, including museums, metro and also Atocha rail station from where you can catch buses to the airport and elsewhere. Although there are no breakfast facilities in the hostal, immediately opposite the building are two pleasant bars where you can breakfast or eat and drink at any time of the day.

Not to say it was something I didn't like but I would point out that travelling on my own I had a quite small single room which was perfectly adequate and pleasant for my short stay in the city but might not be so perfect for someone on a longer visit. That is all.

Location was perfect. Quiet area, with lots of greenery, within a short walking distance from Prado, Botanical Garden and El Retiro park. Atocha station and Reina Sofia museum are also not far. Room was very clean, it was cleaned every day.... Lots of cosy cafes and restaurants around the area. Great carrot cake place 5 minutes away. Staff was very nice and friendly. When I asked where I can boil water for tea, they brought me a kettle, 2 mugs and couple of tea bags. They even looked after our bags after we checked out at noon.

It would be great to have a small fridge in the room. We didn't really need it as we came in November, but for summer months, a fridge would be useful.

The location is brilliant. You can walk to the Prado and the Botanic Gardens in 5 minutes, Reina Sofia in 10, Retiro is 15 and the Plaza Mayor in 20. The immediate area is great lots of bars, restaurants, some small shops and a really upbeat, positive atmosphere. And yet the room itself is really lovely and quiet. The staff are lovely, the bed very comfortable.

As with very many places via Booking.com, the only very slight thing we didn't like is the proximity of the ensuite to the room, and the slightly ineffective sliding door. A couple who don't know each other that well might find it a bit awkward!

The hostal was conveniently located near Museo del Prado, the Neptune Plaza where hop on hop off buses stopped, good restaurants and souvenir stores. The room was not big but it was enough for sleeping and resting while not outside exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The WiFi's signal strength was good the first day we arrived and even watched Netflix, but for some reason it went down next day up to the end of our stay so we could not watch Netflix anymore. Not that it was a major issue but something that happened. I imagine the signal went weaker due to more people in the building perhaps.

We only had one day in Madrid and this hostel is in a great location. It is close to the Atocha Station, just across the street from the Prado Museum and very close to the Reina Sophia museum. There are lots of little cafes and shops all around. The room was clean and comfortable and extremely quiet at night. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and told us where to catch the blue bus to the airport for just 5E.

The linen was clean and comfortable which made for a comfortable sleep after walking a 2 week Camino. The Location is excellent - there are a couple of restaurants just outside the building and it is very close to the Royal Gardens, Art Museum and many shops. The Hop-on hop-Off tours also start their routs 1 block away which was perfect for our short stay. The late check out was welcome as we wanted to still have some breakfast and finish up in the morning. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us to keep our luggage safe whilst we were still doing site-seeing for the last couple of hours before we had to leave Madrid. Room was well furnished with 3 beds and a desk. Ample power plugs.

Nothing- everything was perfect. We did have some language barrier when I asked reception to keep our luggage until our taxi arrived the afternoon we checked out, and they arranged for a taxi (whilst I already made arrangements). In the end we had 2 taxis arriving and I felt very bad that there was a misunderstanding (my sincerest apologies once again).

Location. It was accessible. Near the Metro. Near restaurants. Reception staff were pleasant.

As they didn’t give us the remote control to the A/C, we had to open the windows. Unfortunately, it was noisy below & even during early AM, I could hear the vehicles & garbage truck passing by. I had poor sleep. The day before we left, we requested the room to be cleaned in the afternoon as we were still packing. The cleaning lady said she was ok with 1 pm. But when we left at 1 pm, she said she was being called in the other building so she couldn’t clean anymore. I had to request for her to at least remove the trash as it was full. No toilet papers given for the day.

Great great location 10/10. The person who checked us in was super nice. We were a bit early but the room was ready and she gave us our room without any issue. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower was very clean, water pressure was awesome. Everything was clean and it was what were needed. Super close to markets, restaurants, attractions, train station. Fair price for the time we were there. I would definitely stay again I also love that check out time is noon. Highly recommended

Could use another trash bin in the room beside the one in the toilet

A reasonably priced room located very close to the Prado museum, a great location, just aside from the main boulevard. Quiet, peaceful place. It was a small room with an en-suite bathroom. A small room, but fine for the stay. There is no breakfast, no meal, yet several nice, friendly tapas places just around. Museums and the park just in the neighbourhood, as well. Well connected by public transport. Everything worked well.

Everything was fine, the receptionist didn't speak English, but we managed relatively easily. Wi-Fi had its ups and downs, but worked all time.

The staff were helpful and nice. I received 3 keys, one for each door, street door, security door to hallway and room key. I felt safe. The room was cleaned daily and was adequate but small. The staff arranged for a Taxi to take me to the airport when I left. The location can't be beat with restaurants and bars all around. The art museums are nearby along with the botanical gardens and beautiful fountains and architecture that is unbelievable.

The room was small but for one person it was OK. It was noisy when the late bar/party group returned about 2-3 AM but once they passed out it was quiet. The maids storage area was next to my room so when she started her day and got things out it was noisy at 7:00 AM. Once that was over it was quiet again.
