The public bath! A perfect Japanese experience, a great way to relax and learn about the local attitudes

The staff at the reception was not able to communicate in English Breakfast was quite boring, with the same stuff every day and little variety. Lamentably almost no fruit at all...

Very nice stay with perfect location near Kyoto station (~10min walk). To Gion about 20-30 min walking. In room you can find everything you need: comfortable beds, pajamas, oral care products, razor disposables, etc. Definitely can recommend this place for staying in Kyoto.

I take off 1 point only because of prohibition to visit public bath to people with tattoos. It's 21th century and there a lot of people with tattoos, especially among tourist from Europe/USA/Russia, come on

The location was great, as it was walking distance from Centre but also very close to Kyoto Station to go everywhere. The beds are very comfortable, and you can adjust the room temperature. Also pyjamas are provided and all amenities are perfect, including access to a very quiet hot bath space. Staff are very helpful always.

I liked the breakfast as it had a variety of choices, however it was exactly the same every morning. Also, the restaurant did not offer any kids option which was a little bit of a shame. The room lacks storage space. As a family of 3, and staying for 6 nights it was impossible to store anything so the room got very messy!

The room was very spacious compared to all other hotels we stayed in Japan. Pillows were the most comfortable ones as well. I really loved the pajamas pants, super comfy! Breakfast was good although there wasn't much variety.

There are 4 laundry machines at the common area, 2 are allowed for all whereas other 2 are for females only. I don't get the reason, but since one of the "sex indiscriminate" machines was broken and there was a big line I had to put and take my boyfriends clothes for him at the "female area". It was manageable, but we couldn't grasp the rationale of this.

The staff was SO welcoming and helpful, the room was cleaned every single day. We also appreciated the environmentally friendly efforts. The hotel also offers multiple utilities like the laundry room (an extra one exclusively for women) and hot baths. It is perfectly located, just a 13 min walk from the Nishiki Market. Honestly we stayed for a whole week and it really felt like home, we would definitely book this hotel again.

Great location (close to both the bus and train interchange). Short walk from gion and kiyomizu-dera (just over 20 minutes). The hotel was very clean and provided daily housekeeping. Close to a variety of restaurants. Friendly staff. The hotel is very helpful in assisting with kuroneko services (luggage delivery).

There are only 4 washing machines for a lot of guests. You just have to be quick!

Clean, provided room service, iron available down the corridor. Bedroom and bathroom area separated by sliding door which I liked. Provided cable to charge Electronics.

Very Small bottles (travel sized) of shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. However hotel did provide bath salts

The room was very spacious! Front desk was very helpful with luggage forwarding. There was an issue with delivery at our next hotel and I had messaged this hotel through Booking.com for a receipt which I unfortunately lost. They responded quickly and was able to update me on the delivery status which was a great relief! We went to the public bath every night of our stay. What's convenient is you can check the crowd status on your tv. Same with the laundry room.

Its the second time I stayed as a guest in Keion Prelia Hotel. The rooms are comfortable, big, well equipped, comfortable beds, very clean and there's a large bath. The hotel's stuff are helpful and attending. The location is quite good and in the center, in a safe neighborhood, and placed about 7 minutes walk to the closest subway station and same for the bus station. The breakfast is nice and there is a public bath for the guests.

The location is just a little far from the subway and bus, so it requires about 6-10 minutes walk. The breakfast is nice but I think it could get better.
