The room was spacious and had a stunning sea view, making it the best of our trip. The dinner was an incredible fine dining experience, with beautifully presented dishes that took us on a sensory journey. The outdoor onsen was a highlight, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality dishes, from fresh fruits to delicately prepared grilled items. The location was beautiful, with the restaurant overlooking the bay, which added to the serene atmosphere of the morning.

The service during dinner felt a bit rushed at times. The staff could have been more attentive to our pace, especially with the timing of certain dishes. Although they were polite and accommodating, this is an area that could be improved for a more relaxed dining experience. The staff should ensure they are more mindful of when to light up the pots and serve dessert, as we felt slightly hurried through the meal. A bit more attention to the flow of the dining experience would have made it perfect.

The room was lovely and spacious, and the ocean view was so beautiful especially with the birds flying by. The staff were helpful and the cleaning staff especially were very friendly. The hot springs in the hotel made the quite expensive one night cost much more worth it. The hotel is also right by the station which was very important for me.

Price was quite high. They let me check out later than I was meant to which I appreciated, but I think they could have charged a bit less than they did for 2 hours. Also I couldn't get the lamps or plugs to work by the bed, but they probably would have fixed it if I had asked.

Location was great, right across the Amanohashidate station. Also loved the onsen, although the rotenburo didn’t really have much view but it was clean and comfortable. Liked that the staff swapped the baths around for the two nights I stayed, so we were able to enjoy both baths! The views were great also, loved that you can stroll to enjoy the sea view at the lobby balcony area. Also rented bicycle for the whole afternoon which only costs 500 yen per person!

Booked the western style room. As hotel is a bit old, the room furnishings were also rather dated. But rooms were kept clean.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the main photo , it looks like a shed and I was nervous, but this hotel really is lovely! The photo is of the covered entrance with a function room, the main hotel is behind that facing the tranquil ocean! Our room was gorgeous and waking up to the sound of the gentle waves was glorious. The beds were very comfortable and the room was incredibly spacious. The hot spring was lovely too! Wished we’d stayed longer.

There was no option to book meals but on Japanese sites it appeared meals could be; there was only one restaurant open in town, thankfully it was amazing but if I hadn’t checked Google maps to discover this we’d had to have bought the cup noodles in the hotel vending machine. I’m sure other visitors would appreciate the option to include meals in the booking.

You can tell the age of the building from its look. But we have our best stay here during our trip. Great location, right across the road from the station. Great food. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, it’s so special and delicious, better than the high ranked restaurant we found nearby. Great view. You can literally stay in Ama-no-Hashidate. Quiet, private, without street light at night. The onsen is spacious and well maintained. Very comfy bed. Highly recommended.

The AC in the lobby is not cool enough.

I had a very nice stay here. I only had the breakfast option, It was good considering it was a buffet. The hotel has its own terrace outside and in the morning you'll have very nice views with some birds. The hotsprings were also relaxing, I really liked the pot/tub, although it wasn't as hot as the big pool. The staff were nice to allow my tattoo into the hotspings. Thank you!

One thing I would mention about the room I had was that I saw a lot of stains on the floor, of course it's hard/difficult to get stains off, but it makes me have a slight disgust thinking about it. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Very excellent breakfast with large variety of Japanese and Western food. Very good quality food.

Dinner is really a problem. The Japanese restaurant must need reservation one day before. The Western restaurant in annex building had limited choice of food. But anyway the staff at the Western restaurant are still very polite and helpful. Indeed we as well as other travelers we met had the same feeling that there are only 2 restaurants outside this hotel and one closed the following day.

Breakfast buffet was excellent. So many choices! We loved the traditional Japanese room that we booked (tatami and futons), plus the sea view. Very relaxing hotel. Staff's English-speaking ability was limited, but we managed. (Most guests are Japanese.) We enjoyed using the hotel bikes to ride around. Very short walk to train station and a short walk to the land bridge and beach as well.

The hotel itself is very nice and in a great location. Amanohashidate, the town, does not have a lot of dinner choices, which was strange to us because there were so many restaurants open for lunch.

Beautiful location, close to Ama-no-hashidate Station. Great view of the sea (and the main attraction!) from my room. Excellent (mostly Japanese) breakfast.

If you want dinner be sure to get a reservation at the hotel in advance. I arrived around 5 PM and the place was already fully reserved, and almost every restaurant was closed up in the town... There is only one other restaurant open in the evening: in the neighboring hotel! It was a bit of an uncomfortable experience having to hunt for a place in the dark...
