We were a bit ahead of the crowds and when we arrived on the first evening we were the only couple in the Hotel. The room was adequate but the room was an odd shape and the only window was at the end of a corridoor which led to to the wardrobe which meant that you always needed to have the lights on. The widow also had the air conditionng unit in it and it was quite noisy. Breakfast was limited but adequate. The bar didn't open untill the last evening and shut at 9pm. The Hotel had a few more guests by this time and it was nice talking to guests of other nationalities.
A nice enough Hotel but overpriced for what it is. We thought it would be a little more luxurious. There's not a great deal of dining choices in the locality.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was the perfect start to our day! We loved the location of the hotel, it was central to all the places we wanted to visit.
The only complaint we have is that other guests were loud in their rooms. We understand the building is very old, but we found other guests talking/running through the halls at night (11pm and later) to be quite loud. In the morning, some guests were extremely loud, running through the halls and yelling at around 7am.

The hotel was decorated nicely and the staff was very friendly. The outdoor grounds were beautiful with a sitting area and a firepit. The screened in porch was great for breakfast and as a space in the evening. The bar was open each evening with a variety of drinks. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was great for travelling around Cape Cod and for reaching the ferry to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. There were several good restaurants within in a short drive. The Cape Playhouse is close and offers great entertainment.
The lighting in the room was poor and the room was quite small. It was difficult to find room for 2 suitcases. The air conditioner cut on and off throughout the night which left the room quite warm in the morning. The bathroom was tiny and got very steamy and hot when showering. If we opened the bathroom door too quickly, the smoke detector went off. The only way to reach the 2nd floor was a set of stairs which were challenging for my 81 year old mother. The lighting outside could have been better when exiting the main inn to the patio and a hand rail would have stopped my mom from having a fall as she exited one evening.

Nice attractive, historic house. Nice size room & bathroom. Friendly hosts. Continental breakfast. Nice restaurant a short drive away & bar in hotel
Quite hot in room ( not in main building - an out house )but don't like noise of air con units in night, so have to switch off & fridge, but available if needed. Most rooms in main building. Small wardrobe. Could do with a longer mirror & more hooks

The experience was exceptional! 300 year old home fully remodeled on the inside. Our hosts Jim and Anna very friendly and attentive. Answering all and any questions. The breakfast coffee and pastries were huge and freshly made. The room and common areas in excellent taste both in design and cleanliness. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend.
Didn’t find anything I didn’t like.

The house and property are beautiful. Check in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good. The bar was small, but nice. The bartender was friendly and made good drinks. There was plenty of space in the house and outside to relax. The property borders the Edward Gorey house. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend.
No complaints.

The bed was unbelievably comfy. The staff were also incredibly kind and genuine which we really appreciated, particularly as it was my husband's first time in the US. The recommendations on where to eat and what to do were also outstanding.
The aircon in the room was very loud. Initially the building looked shabbier than the actual photos but we were pleasantly suprised when we then went into the building. The hotel had a lovely family atmosphere.

I stayed at Chapter House with my mom and sisters in early July. We were wowed by the relaxing outdoor space, tasty breakfast and close proximity to beaches and the ferry port. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend Chapter House to any friends visiting the area.

I would have preferred a hot breakfast like scrambled eggs and toast however what we had was fine
I would have like a second chair in the room but I understand it’s a B&B and you have to understand these are houses that have been converted to rooms to stay in

The amenities were great and the outdoor seating area was very nice. The staff was very nice and offered excellent recommendations that made our trip unforgettable. I strongly recommend staying and I will certainly be back in the future.
The only thing I wish was different was that breakfast would have been included. They catered breakfast for an extra charge and gave great breakfast recommendations, but I wish our stay included breakfast as well.
