Room had everything you need and was spotless clean. Comfortable bed, big shower, water kettle, much space. Toilette was separate from bathroon which is found very rare and a big plus. Shower was not flooding the floor for a change and water pressure was excellent. Newly renovated and well designed. We had city view which I found very charming with all the x-mas lights on. Very warm welcome with friendly, professionell and communicative staff.

Breakfast had everything you need but if you eat vegan or vegetarian you don't have a lot of choices. Eggs far to liquid. I am very picky though, husband was more than happy :) Depending on where you sit it can get quite cold in winter. Elevator is claustrophobic.

Right in the city centre easy walk to everywhere. Staff very kind and attentive. We were welcomed with hot drink on arrival. I stayed in privilege room with sofa bed, which included complementary water and soft drink. Sofa bed took lots of space but it was comfortable. Large shower cube. The room and bathroom were beautifully renovated with lots of light in the bathroom. The lift was an advantage but small

We had lots of luggage and needed to off load in front of the hotel before parking the car away and it turned out to be a mission as we were not instructed how to do it in before hand. The classic double room tiny (my brother stayed there). Toilet and bathroom with hand wash were separated.

We booked a double room and got exactly as booked. It faced the city, had lovely large windows which let in loads of light but also great curtains that blocked the light so you could sleep. It was lovely to have a kettle and a fridge and the bathroom was clean and a nice size. The hotel was well placed in the city and easy to access everything. The parking although separate was an easy walk and secure. Metz was a joy to visit and the hotel felt safe and welcoming.

It would have been nice to have mugs to have a drink in especially as coffee and tea were provided but all you had were paper cups. The recommendations for restaurants from reception although you got a 10% discount were not great and upon reflection I would try one of the many other places in the city rather than sit in an overpriced empty restaurant. We went to Parvis (our mistake!)

The location is excellent, very close to the parking Indigo Republique, the staff extremely friendly, good breakfast. In the room there is a fridge, a kettle, a safe.

The size of the room is quite limited and having the sink in the room a bit unusual. For a longer stay, if you have a large suitcase, there is no room to put it. A part of the curtain is covering the TV.

Fantastic location due to its central location in the hub of all the action and only a 15 min walk from the train station. Very comfortable bedding and stylish decor. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Cannot comment on breakfast as we didn’t partake.

Room was a little small not allowing much space to store larger suitcases, but managed ok. Bathroom open to bedroom, but not a deal breaker and overall was well designed to make use of the small space. Will book one of the larger rooms next time.

The beds were incredibly comfortable. I've never slept in such comfy beds. The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean. Conveniently located in the center. Parking deal is a good deal.

It's a bit noisy from the street below but I knew that in advance so it was not an annoying surprise. Even though it's an old building, I'm sure it should be possible to get better isolated windows. The bedside tables are round so things keep falling down from it. They look amazing from design point of you, just not very practical.

We loved absolutely everything! We came to Metz having had an uncomfortable previous night elsewhere. The staff at the Mercure saw our exhaustion and offered us drinks, giving us care and attention. They could not have been more helpful. Through the genius rewards we had a room upgrade and our room was fantastic. Large, cool and well equipped. Metz is a fantastic place to visit, so much to see and do, we wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is right in the city centre. Parking was in the republique car park and was close by. 9 Euro for 24 hours was a good price. The hotel communicated directions to this and it was easy to find. Breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Fabulously located and stylishly decorated, the Grand Hotel Metz is perfect for a stay in the city. We loved the room decoration and the courtyard with its glass roof. Breakfast was exceptional and included Quiche Lorraine, Plum Tart and freshly prepared Mirabelle plums from the region. A short walk from Metz Cathedral, the Covered Market and pedestrian shopping streets.

We found the bed and pillows to be rather too firm.

Metz, Metz, beautiful Metz. This is a lovely old hotel slap bang in the middle of the city. There is an underground car park very close by and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This especially applies to the young lady who checked us in and gave us all sorts of advice on where to go and what to do. Also, Thibaud, who we chatted with when we checked out was great fun and very friendly.

The only thing to include here was the size of our room. It was small. But there is little that the hotel can do about this as it is a charming old building and the rooms just happen to be quite small. It was perfectly comfortable for our two night stay.

Excellent location for the food market, Christmas markets, shops and restaurants and the Cite Musicale (Arsenale). Very helpful staff. Bar open until 2am. Great wifi connection for working on laptop. Adjustable heating in room, as it was very cold outside. Local specialities at breakfast.

The washbasin was in the bedroom, rather than in the bathroom!
