Nothing to complain about at all! But it is not a place for people that must have air-conditioning. A bit warm in the room, but there are windows, so who cares?? Not a place for people who need complete silence either, at least not if they get a room facing the street, as there are restaurants with tables outside at street level.

My partner uses crutches to get around; I let the host know in advance & requested a ground floor room, (non-existant). Pierre bent over backwards to get us into what I would call an enormous, "very French" first floor room, at no extra cost; what a star! The hotel is in the centre of the city, (as the name suggests), & is very close to the main car park, (discount ticket provided by the host), with many other shops, including an Auchan, nearby. Françoise is a delight to do business with; such a kind, helpful person. I would definitely stay here again. Great restaurant nearby with proper cuisine relating to the area.

I honestly can't think of anything negative. No issues encountered, lovely people to do business with.

Wonderful hotel! Pierre, who checked us in, was lovely, very helpful and welcoming.Like everything in this part of Metz the building is old but is well looked after, and has a delightful French ambience. We loved our room, we even had a balcony over-looking the streets on the corner. The location is perfect. We were able to store our bicycles in a secure parking building just 1 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again! (We didn't have breakfast so can't comment).

The location was exceptional for the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was big, we had a family room. The directions and information beforehand was also helpful

The room wasn't overly clean and it was very hot, they had provided a small fan but not much use. However I am not keen on removing too many features. breakfast could have included a better range of cereals - all had chocolate in them

Fantastic location which makes it great value for money. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and if you end up in the room on the top floor, you will get a very nice view. The room has the authentic charm. The staff was very nice.

We stayed over the weekend, so it got a little bit noisy from the bars later in the evening. There is no AC, so the room got a little bit hot in August when we stayed. There was a fan to cool us down. These are just minor details. The overal experience was very possitive.

A lovely place to stay right in the centre of the city. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The directions to the parking were a God-send as we would not have found it without.

The distance from the hotel to the parking is a little further than in the description!

Central location.Friendly reception staff with good information on where tourist sites were. Very large room with table and two large beds. Love the style of this old house with its spiral staircases and old balcony, but sadly much investment would be needed to keep it up to modern standards. I still loved the place, but the balcony is no longer really accessible and the bathroom fittings - while very clean and functional are dated. It is still in a superb central area location but as central Metz is pedestrianised this was a slight problem for my slightly handicapped partner - the hotel has a special price agreement with a carpark about 10 mins walk away - my partner managed the walk fairly easily in fact but it needs to be born in mind that there is no parking nearby - and there are steps to get out of the carpark through a shopping centre. We were warned that the place could be noisy at night - it was less audible than we had anticipated but indeed noisy. However we really loved the vibrant atmosphere in Metz in the evenings and noise comes with that - our window looked down onto a busy pedestrian crossroads - we enjoyed looking out on the passers by enjoying themselves. And when as an elderly couple we wanted a drink we even went down to the noisy student bar for our drinks - the staff and even the young customers couldn’t have been more polite and friendly so we forgave them the noise later! Tourist sites are close by - the stained glass in the cathedral is wonderful! And the Pompidou Centre (we drove there) amazing!

The directions for pedestrians on the street to the car park are apparently non-existant - it was really hard to find it again until a really friendly inhabitant helped us out and led us there and carried our case - google had led us to an area over the car entrance where you cannot walk in. Same inside the car-park bad directions and a very difficult ramp to drive onto to get out . The breakfast bread was very hard -made us wonder if it had been rebaked. ….but all in all we liked this quirky old place and might even go there again - we unexpectedly really loved Metz!

Everything was perfect for us. The manager was in contact with us for any questions we had. They were very kind with the information we asked for and for leaving us the sheet with the discount for the parking in the room. It was easy to access, in the center of the city and there was the possibility of self check in.

Breakfast bread and croissants fine but coffee not great- as is always the way with hotel breakfasts. Location excellent and staff helpful and friendly. A nice old fashioned building

The staff were very friendly and helpful with tips. The hotel has a deal with a parking space about 5mins walk away, which saves on costs. This is the closest parking location as the hotel itself is in the pedestrian zone. Great central location. You can get breakfast for €9.50 with fesh bread and croissants, as well as joghurt and fruits. (No meat)

Unfortunately there was a lot of dust and left overs from other people underneath the bed. The rest of the room including the bathroom were clean though. As it is in the pedestrian zone, it can be a bit noisy in the evening.
