It was very conveniently located to my daughter who loves nearby. I also enjoyed the generously size balcony while the weather was warm in the daytime.

I was absolutely freezing the first night. There was no extra blanket, the balcony doors did not close properly (and were therefore drafty) and when I enquired about heat the next morning I was told it was too early to turn it on.

The decor of the hotel is stunning, facilities are amazing and the staff was wonderful and took amazing care of us. The view from our room was absolutely outstanding and the rooms were incredibly quiet especially considering the great location of the hotel.

Can't think of much, rooms may be considered slightly on the small side compared to US standards but that was definitely not a problem for us. Price could be more affordable but it's NY so prices are always an issue.

Beautiful building, inside and out, and a great location. It feels very old New York but with 21st century amenities. The lobby is fabulous and has a wonderful, welcoming, friendly and buzzy feel.

The rooms are beautifully done but perhaps the art deco theme is too strong there …

Upon arrival the check-in desk staff greeted us warmly and gave us all the information we needed. The lobby was well-appointed and very welcoming. The room was beautiful with classy fixtures and very comfortable. We only stayed two nights and I would have absolutely loved to stay more! We also at at the restaurant and it was quite good as well.

Honestly our stay was incredibly frictionless. Our AC was blowing cool air but the room temperature wasn't decreasing, so they sent a maintenance person up immediately who informed us that the ACs were getting upgraded room by room. They set up another room down the hall for us where the AC worked great and let us move in there for our second and final night. In the lobby I heard a few other people mention the AC, so it sounds like the hotel is working on improving those. Once they do, it will be absolutely perfect.

Friendly staff and everything was doable! Also nice thoughts like free mineral water and extras.

The set up of narrow corridors and bedroom doors very close to each other was part of this Greenwich Village building's history but what with the brown paint and rather old carpets you didn't get a sense that the place was super clean. That could be my imagination and I am not saying the hotel was actually dirty but once again the dark lighting and atmosphere especially in the basement didn't help.

I like the breakfast. The location is great. The staff is friendly, and I liked that packages waited for me in my room.

I don't get why hotel rooms are always so dark. I had to turn on all the lamps every time, one by one. The cleaning crew: - Insisted on putting 5 pillows on my bad. I tried to hide some of them in the closet, but they caught on and took them out. - kept adding small towels to the shower, which I just put on the shelves next to the sink. By the end of my stay there were 6 towels on the shelve.

Very clean, large room and bathroom, grab rails in shower and toilet area. Good size fridge and kettle in room on arrival as requested. Safety deposit box, Iron, ironing board,hairdryer, slippers and umbrella. Very comfortable bed and pillows, space to store luggage. Friendly staff, printed our return flight boarding passes, booked airport taxi and the lovely Dale carried all our bags to the entrance for us. Nothing was too much trouble, all staff helpful and kind. Fresh flower arrangements, artificial fire and tasteful furniture in large lobby, good amount of seating and complimentary iced drink and water Mede it feel very inviting.

A little dark in reception but suited the style and ambiance. Cloakrooms are down a couple of flights of stairs and could have been better lit. A cloakroom on the ground floor would be useful.

Everything from the lobby to the room felt nice, simple and clean. There was complimentary coffee, tea and water in the lobby at all times. The room was on the smaller side but very clean. The location was great for us, as we could walk everywhere we needed to.

Overall room was small, especially the closet / hanger space. The bathroom vanity didn't have space for many toiletries or accessories. Mini fridge wasn't automatically provided but could have been brought to room if asked.

Breakfast, in my case fruit salad, was plentiful and varied. Service was friendly. Front desk, also friendly. Which helps. I was able to leave luggage behind between visits. Also a big plus.

Room storage. Terrible. Half the miniscule closet (above the safe) is useless- no shelves, drawers, hanging bar... Similar lack of clothes hangers in the bathroom. The room was pleasant enough if you have little luggage, which was not our case. Consequently, it was extremely constricted. But extremely.

We loved the location of the hotel it’s a little quieter than the main tourist area of New York while still having a great buzz with loads of restaurants and cafe nearby. We were glad that we stayed here twice for a total of 4 days. The staff were so helpful and just generally lovely it all enhanced our stay. We were in a twin room which was a good size and the beds were so comfy. Looking out onto the city skyline was an added bonus. We had breakfast in the attached cafe and can recommend that as well. If I am ever back in NYC I’d be right back to the Walker again. Thanks to all the staff my sisters birthday treat was a total success and we ll remember it forever
