Firstly it was great to have a microwave and coffee making facilities in the room. The air conditioning was good if a little loud. The bed was comfortable and the room was serviced during my 2 night stay. It was very close to the subway which brought me in from JFK. I never had to wait to use the shared facilities. Amazing location and very affordable.

While it wasn't a huge issue the room is tiny. I struggled to access luggage and had to move the small chair around the room. The room faced the street so there was the expected noise from an urban environment, earplugs dealt with that noise. The shared shower and bathrooms were clean but very tired with some bubbling of paint on the ceiling

The hotel is right next to a subway stop, making it easy to access the rest of Manhattan. The neighborhood is very nice, lots of grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is helpful and polite. The hotel has a cat who is very friendly. The bed is very confortable and having a small kitchen in the room is nice.

The room is noisy, especially the fridge and heating system. The bathroom being shared is not ideal, of course. Some of the installations are very old.

The security is very good you need the card to get inside (also have a room safe). The price is excellent. Its close to everything. They also have a cat which greets guests. They have laundry on site . The hotel does the job as our intentions were to visit NYC and not stay in the hotel for longer.

The hotel could use some painting and minor TLC. Some walls had scratches/holes. There were missing light fixtures or broken shower rings.

The location was awesome. Right near Chelsea and the West VIillage, with heaps of cute and trendy restaurants nearby. Wasn't a touristy area but was still busy and exciting, so it felt like we blended into the New York vibe which was nice. Walking distance to the 'tourist area' but was nice to be staying away from that area. Really close to the High Line too, which was fantastic.

The bathrooms were cleaned but still felt a little dirty, but that wasn't a huge issue as there was a basin in the room to clean teeth in etc. so didn't need to spend much time in the shared bathrooms. There was a strong stale smell in our room of smoke/weed but it wasn't the be-all and end-all, and you don't notice it after a while. The positives of this place out weigh the negatives.

Refreshing experience! The room was simple, spacious with large windows opening to the patio. Kitchenette, 6 foot granite shower. Room was very clean. The staff very nice, responsive to any call. Relaxed and also got loads of work done.

There was no landline.

The staff is super friendly, room is comfy, bathroom is clean and the kitchen is definitely useful ! Great location, great terrace, evrything was perfect ! And the cat in the hostel adds up to everything

The only thing that I didn't like is that it can be a bit loud sometimes, and there wasn't any toilet brush in the bathroom so you sometimes have to deal with what the person before left...

The receptionists are so accommodating. I had to have supplies delivered from my company ordered and it was constantly everyday, but they were always nice about receiving it. Deffo helps out with anything you need too. Its a few feet away from Subway A,C,E and 1 blck away from subway 1

The bath is shared & at first I thought it was a bad idea, but it really isn’t. They constantly clean & maintain it everyday. And its not like you have to fall in line to pee. It’s usually vacant and thats saying something cause Ive been more in my room in the most part of my stay than was outside.

The location and room were fantastic! The cleaning is good and even though the building looks quite old, it's well maintained. The staff was excellent!

The Wi-Fi was not good. I stayed on business and working on my computer was impossible. I would also improve the cleaning in the patio, which has amazing potential.

So pleased we were able to be upgraded to a room with ensuite really made all the difference to our stay. Room was big and bed very comfortable. Great location and very friendly staff. Excellent WiFi.

Room was too warm for second night and we couldn't work out how to turn the radiator down or off. There was no kettle in the room but we were able to manage just about with the coffee machine for hot water.

I TONY MCGEE LIKED THE TELEVISION IT WORKED ON THE 4 MAJOR CHANNELS 2 4,5,AND 7,THE MICROWAVE WAS GREAT, REFRIGERATOR WAS NEW AND GREAT KEEP SODAS AND FOOD COLD,HAMILTON BEACH COFFEE MAKER WAS GREAT, THIS IS THE MONA LISA OF HOTELS QUIET,CLEAN, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD,GOOD NIGHT LIFE.

NO ELEVATOR,AND TELEVISION CHANNELS 9,11,AND 13 HAD NO SOUND.
