I loved my stay at Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda! The staff were very accommodating, and the best part was that my room was made every single day. The location was also perfect as it was only a 5 minute walk from Umeda, Osaka and Nakatsu stations! This hotel is a great base if you are planning to travel via the JR lines, too, as it's very near Osaka station (JR shinkansen station). There were a lot of convenience stores and restaurants around and is only a stone-throw away from Ichiran Ramen. It's also very quiet at night and I enjoyed my late night walks around the area of this hotel. I would definitely go back and stay here the next time! Thank you Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda! :)

I wish there was a kettle for hot water in the room. It also only had one big pillow and one throw pillow, I wish I had two bigger pillows. But that's asking for too much. This place was really perfect, the best place I could ever ask for.

The hotel was a 10 min walk away from Osaka-Umeda, but in the quieter part of the neighbourhood. There are a lot of eateries on almost every street we walked back from, and ideal location for foodies. The hotel provided a lot of essential items like mouthwash, bath salts, shavers, toothbrush etc. In the room, hair dryer, fridge, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Water pressure on the 4th floor was amazing!

The single room and double room were both a little smaller and squeezy than for most, it was difficult to find some space to open our lugguages in the rooms. The rooms were ideal for asian-size people, bordering on cosy/claustrophobic.

Staff were super friendly and room was good, nothing special about it just pretty standard. Enough space for a solo traveller like me with a small carry on luggage and backpack. Nice and clean as well all around with a good location, a 5-8 min walk to Umeda station and 10 mins from Osaka station. Familymart is super close as well at 2 mins so very convenient! They were also able to keep my bags before check in and after checkout which was super helpful!

If I did have a large suitcase it would be pretty difficult to keep in the room. Other than that no issue!

It's super close to the Umeda shopping area, but the hotel's on a really chill and peaceful street, so I could easily escape the crowds and unwind. My room had a great view! I could see the train tracks and some of the Umeda shops. The windows were clean and blocked out the noise, so I could enjoy the view and sleep peacefully. There's a fancy cafe right next door, plus a Japanese restaurant with lots of choices and good prices. It's really convenient because the restaurant is right in the hotel.

Location is good, close to Umeda station and airport bus terminal, only 5mins walk.

The room is so small, the mattress is too soft. No daily clean, not even change bath towel, have to ask reception for clean towel. The breakfast is very simple, not suggesting to add in your stay, there are plenty of street food. Can hear the train noise in the evenings .

Close to train stations. Laundry facilities good. Staff were kind and caring. Rooms and beds comfortable. Great bathroom. Breakfast in Yayoi was delicious. We were very grateful they looked after our luggage whilst on an overnight stay in the mountains.

A bit disappointed we were not allowed to organise a massage that was advertised by the hotel in the room.?? Perhaps a miscommunication? Would really like some soothing music to relax to in the room. Some hotels have this on their TV when entering the room. More washing machines in the laundry might be good. Only two and there was a queue! Really, it was very nice. 🙂

The location was fantastic. It was so close to the middle of Umeda and with the train station and subway there too it was excellent value. It was generally clean and them made up the beds every day.

The fridge was really small and they only had one pillow on the bed. There really needs to be a selection of pillows too, the beany pillow was not enough for me so I didn't get a great night sleep.

Location is very near Osaka Station which is the main station as well as other stations that is very accessible to a lot of places around the city. The nearest station is probably the Osaka-Umeda Station which was about a 7min walk away. Service at the reception was great, staff could speak good english which was very helpful as we don't speak Japanese. Love that they placed their amenities next to the receptionist and you can just take whatever you need and replenish whenever you want. They even provide bath salt which was fantastic. The room was slightly more spacious by Japanese hotel standards and the best part is that they have many plug points in the room which was very helpful. We even found an extra usb/type-c charger which came in handy as we forgot to bring ours. Water temperature of the shower was perfect as well which means we don't have to struggle with adjusting the temperature. Water dispenser is placed conveniently just outside the lift on each floor so it was extremely easy to refill our water bottles. We didn't need to buy any water.

We asked for a non-smoking room which the receptionist has confirmed before passing us the room key. However, upon entering the room we could smell remnants of smoke smell. We are generally pretty flexible people and wouldn't mind it however this might raise a big concern for other guests who are sensitive to smoke smell. They need to check more thoroughly next time before some other guests complain about this.

Location is great, lots of dining and entertainment right at your door and Umeda station is very close so lots of shopping and dining options there too. I loved the view of the Hankyu train lines out the window and when the window is shut and blinds drawn, it’s completely dark and quiet. Great for a good nights sleep.

Washing machines were all out of order. But one was working at the the start of my stay.

Room was nice, but small as usually in Japan. Location few steps from Osaka Umeda station, close to Osaka station (walking distance even with luggage), less then 10 min by taxi to Shin-Osaka station

Almost no choice of breakfast - only 2 options: Western & Japanese. I choose only the western, but every day it was exactly the same, even no minor change... Problem with issuing the receipt. I made the payment via booking.com and they didn't want to issue the receipt confirming the whole amount of payment. I asked about this during check-in and I was informed it is not a problem, but during check-out it was a problem. After quite long discussion they managed to issue the receipt. I had no time to contact booking.com, but earlier in Japan booking.com solved similar problem in few minutes. I am afraid that there is a general problem in Japan with receipts, when you pay not directly to a hotel...
