From the moment I walked in through the lobby, I felt relaxed, the fragrance was relaxing and comforting as with the staff that greeted me upon check in. My room was very spacious, extremely well kept and the view was spectacular. In my four nights there, I did not hear a single thing from my room from other guests and the blackout screen curtains did wonders for my sleep, especially after walking non stop from my travels around Japan. So much so, I missed breakfast every day but it was worth it for blissful sleep. I had a massage in the room which was great especially so I could have a hot shower straight afterwards and get into bed. Also, bonus, they provide Byredo products for use in the room, one of my all time favourite brands which I use myself. I also made use of their spa and had a wonderful facial experience, left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I also recommend Pierre restaurant and a must try is their olive fed beef which was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth like butter. Thanks to all staff at Intercontinental for making the last leg of my trip in Japan such a wonderful experience.

I did go to the 3-60 lounge around 1.30pm for their afternoon tea but was told they only had the scone or cake set. I settled for scone set and a fruit platter which was still enjoyable looking out at the city.

The location is excellent for arrivals by train - it is an easy walk from JR Osaka with good signage and pre-arrival directions provided. The welcome from reception and hospitality staff on level 1 and 20 was very warm and accomodating, as were all the staff we encountered during our stay. We also made frequent use of the spa, pool and bathhouse - the staff on level 4 are wonderful to deal with - caring, professional and courteous. We were very pleased to be able to extend our stay a little to enjoy the experience.

Nothing we can think of, other than the discourteous and rude behaviour of some other guests in the bathhouse (not observing clothing and cleanliness etiquette) and at the breakfast buffet (wastage of food).

The Room was beautiful and comfortable, tea and amenities all provided, the location is very close to the train station and convenient since there are a ton of shopping and resturants around. Breakfast was the best, I think only a few hotels have been as good as this one in the food quality and service. I used the Spa and pool and the Japanese bath, all very clean and immaculate. The spa treatment was also one of the best I have ever experienced, all 5 senses were addressed and I totally enjoyed my relaxing massage. The Staff are so friendly, courteous and helpful that made me feel at home. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay close to the train station.

There is nothing I would say I didn't like about this property.

We were very impressed by the room. It had a small island feature which had a tea making set on top and it looked fantastic, truly giving the room a minimalist, yet East Asian aesthetic to our surroundings. The bathroom was also exceptional. This hotel definitely earned its 5-stars. We had a Wagyu beef meal for four adults in their main restaurant which was superb, just as its breakfast was the next morning. The hotel is also joined to a large shopping mall which I found very impressive. I highly recommend this hotel.

There was not anything we did not like.

starting with the staff super friendly and well spoken, thank you Gede. the rooms were fantastic and clean, keep in mind japan closes by 9pm but the hotel will able able to accommodate you 24hr, which is not a usual in hotels around japan. as well in japan they can send the bags to the hotel, we found out bags in our room, loved it. rooms service was A+ around the hour.

finding the entrance to the wonderful hotel took a second if you are on foot and not with a taxi, it can take a minute to guess where it is.

The room was spacious with an extra bed (for 3 adults). Close to Osaka station and the large malls. The decoration of the hotel is beautiful. We visited in late autumn so we hardly found red leaves in the city. However, the small but lovely garden of the hotel still offered the bright red and yellow leaves so it was quite a bonus.

The housekeeper didn’t clean up the tea set that we used in the room for 2 consecutive days. When we asked the concierge they said that the housekeeper thought that the teabag we left in the teapot belonged to us so she didn’t dare to remove it. In fact it’s the tea provided by the hotel at the minibar. However, at least she should clean the tea cups !

The hotel facility is great, comfortable cans clean.

We stay at the hotel for two nights. Unfortunately, we face a strong typhoon during our check out time (Aug 15, 2023. Typhoon no. 7). As all the stores and shopping mall nearby was close at the time, we have no where to go. We expect intercontinental hotel Osaka could offer more services with the customer who pays for the top services, such as check out time suspend into 2PM or etc during the tough time for customer. However we didn’t receive any services, it was very disappointed, since I heard some of the hotels nearby offer lunch box to their customer at this critical moment while facing strong typhoon no. 7.

Room was clean, spacious and very pleasant. Great bathroom and amenities, above average mini-bar and snacks. The bed was comfortable. Staff members very professional and helpful. Spa with excellent therapists and ambience. Pierre Restaurant - good atmosphere, staff are good and food very good and well presented. Breakfast restaurant very pleasant with good choices and a good a la carte menu. They even serve coffee in mugs! This is great for western guests.

The staff at the lobby and concerige desk were extremely friendly and helpful. They made me feel really welcomed and went out of their way to assist me on my needs

Very disappointed that there is no hotel operated mini bus which connects Kansai Airport to the hotel. The limo bus which goes from Kansai airport to Osaka city stops at a distance from the hotel, the walk from the bus stop to the hotel is not easy with large luggage. It took me 15-20 mins to walk from the limo bus stop to the hotel, having to cross main streets and heavy traffic area. I tried to hail a taxi but the driver declined to take me as the ride is too short a distance. The hotel should provide transport at least from the Limo bus statation in Osaka city to the hotel.

We had an emergency situation back at home and needed to leave the following day. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to assist us. From the check-in, the staff contacted Booking to make the change in our reservation without any extra charge, to the concierge who went out of her way to assist us in purchasing train tickets. She even wrote us a personal note, expressing her sympathy. We cannot express enough our gratitude for their extraordinary service. Breakfast was very good, the bed comfortable and the shower was great. Although we had to limit our stay, this is a hotel that we shall gladly visit again.
