Great location in center, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast
Because it is in center and is an older building there are some issues: Depending on the room you are in it might be very noisy. We stayed for 9 days and saw 4 rooms. Rooms facing pedestrian zone (like 02 end numbers) get noise from lively street below even during night. Rooms in back of building (like 19 to 25 end numbers) are below central ventilation machine on roof that is very noisy and even makes e.g. room 319's floor vibrate. Interior rooms are fine. As of Feb 2023 renovations are ongoing room by room with accompanying smells and noise. Finally because it is on pedestrian zone taxis or cars cannot pic you up or deliver you directly at/to hotel. and you will have to walk some with your luggage. Was only a problem for us at arrival when driver could not find hotel.

Exceptionally clean, modern and very safe hotel in walking distance of many sirmtes. The hotel was quiet even though it was in the historic center, a street filled with pedestrian activities (the pedestrian-only section keeps it quieter). The staff helped me navigate directions to museums and other places of interest. The breakfast buffet was quite wonderful.
I would have appreciated a small coffee maker in the room and printed materials/map of the area. Rather than asking the receptionist for assistance, it would be nice to have a person/desk dedicated to helping guests with tours and tourist information.

This is a very nice old hotel located right in the heart of Mexico City. It is well maintained and only three blocks from The Zocalo and an equal distance from the Palacio De Bellas Arts. The street is closed to vehicle traffic. Pedestrian only. You can easily walk all around the downtown area from this hotel. The area is very clean and we felt extremely safe walking. There is a visible police presence.
The restaurant is OK for breakfast but that's about it. Went in there for a beer one evening but they didn't have any. Early morning street cleaning was kind of loud but we were in the center of a vibrant metropolitan city.

Location location is 100 ! This hotel is all about location . The street has so many shops and little places to eat . Place right across the hotel is perfect and fresh food for breakfast and dinner ! Bellas Arte and Zócalo are right there less than 10 minutes walk with outdoor market (at least while I was there June 5-8. It’s pretty safe area I would say . This hotel is perfect if you will be out the entire day and just come to sleep .. Hot water was non existent . When I checked in the receptionist did tell me after I paid that they were doing renovations so many rooms might not have AC . Mine did have it thankfully . But it would be more professional and right to let you know upon arrival . It was pretty hot out. Cleaning was not as I expected. Room floor was dusty and some spots in bathroom .My sheets were slightly stained with a few spots here and there but smelled cleaned so . Overall those are improvements they could work on . But I would stay there again for sure. !
No hot water and cleaning could have been better .

The personnel at the Ritz perform at a very high level, and the facilities are certainly adequate. Its narrow street facade belies the vast interior and its scores of rooms. Anyone with a physical handicap, however, may want to consider other lodging options. First, the hotel is located on a pedestrian street, so taxis cannot park in front. Secondly, the administration is located on the second floor. Both stairs and an elevator are provided to the desk. However, after checking in, travelers must later use other elevators around a winding hallway. The Ritz appears to be a favorite of many national vacationers. Its location, between Bellas Artes and the zocalo, is one of its main attractions.

The Hotel looks and feels new, the rooms are really good size and had A/C, the location is nice close to all the main historic places, and the staff was really friendly
Some of the guest where too noisy, and you can hear them on the room (nothing to do with the staff) just rude guests, noise from the streets is not an issue, is really quiet

The location was unbeatable. The spacious room we had was quiet, even though it was in front of the elevator. It had windows to a courtyard that provided natural lighting as well. Everybody on the staff welcomed us or greeted us. The doormen especially were friendly and inviting.
My only complaint was the elevator buttons were broken and it was difficult to get it just right so we could ascend and descend. Other than that, no complaints.

The location is really excellent because it is directly at the city center. The street in the front is just for walking, no vehicles so it is quite at nights. Hotel is clean, reception has fluent English, which is really hard to find at Mexico. Staff were always polite and helpful.
A better breakfast with a reasonable better price would be good. We preffered to have breakfast out at the cafes which was more satisfactory.

Perfect location. Right on Calle Madero, which is a peatonal street. Walking distance to El Zócalo, and most museums, Bellas Artes, etc. Breakfast was excellent. We asked for the eggs to be fried because we didn't like the scrambled eggs, and they graciously did it with a smile. The team at the restaurant dressed elegantly every time, ready to offer the very best service.

The location of this hotel is great! Walking distance from El Zocalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and many restaurant options. The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Since we stayed in this hotel during Christmas and it is located on a heavily foot trafficked street, there was some noise at night that might bother some. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
