The hotel was very clean, facilities were very good staff excellent.

Cant do anything about location which was fine , but I wanted something to eat i.e a macdonalds as I was there for burns supper. I would have had to drive to find a macdonalds but the hotel said they do one. It was great but price was unexpected over £25 ok I had 1 pint of beer £6.75 and the burger/chips was £16 +, you may say thats not £25 but there was an additional charge of £2.75 for cheese which I thought was expensive. Only other issue which is not a complaint or immediate problem, the paint above shower was substantialy flaking off and you could see small mould patches. Obviously wrong paint had been used reported it as I left and they said wolud get maintence on it.

It's a really pretty hotel and the room is also very nice, with a nice bed and enough storage, super clean. The staff was really friendly, especially the housekeeping ladies, I had one request and they acted immediately with no further questions and kept a smile on their faces, amazing :)

I had issues with water when taking a shower, The temperature was changing to hot and cold all the time and pressure too. Another thing is, there is no toilet brush which I find weird and hangers in the wardrobe are locked, I do understand reasoning but putting a bigger jacket on it is not easy. They are small issues which could be easily fixed :)

The room was nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast was unbelievably good - both the buffet and the cooked to order Scottish breakfast were delicious. The staff serving the breakfast and dinner were super nice, quick and helpful.

The bar is not so good. On both nights we tried to get drinks. However, we were asked for our room number three times for every single order, even though our room key was on the table. One of the staff did not know what a martini was, so we had to help them find the bottle. Another tried to make a Cosmopolitan that was so bad we couldn't drink it. There was no alcohol in it and it tasted like pink water with sugar syrup. Serving a beer was manageable.

The staff were so helpful & professional. We checked in approx 3pm, having had no lunch, and they very kindly made us soup & sandwiches. We were there to attend a show at the Carnegie Hall so the staff then arranged for an early dinner. The hotel really went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable & to help make our evening at Carnegie Hall relaxed with no worries re dining times. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, warm & very inviting. The food was delicious & well presented. Breakfast was made to order & again was very tasty.

Can't think of anything that we didn't like. The hotel is exceptionally well presented with a very good professional team of staff.

set in pretty grounds , friendly very welcoming staff , tasty food that looked good too .

unfortunately one of our room service meals was not hot , which was a shame as the food there was lovely and presentation was lovely . Also our room was right next to the staff , I think break area , and you could here them chatting to each other and on the phone , and you could also see the bin , from the window . it would be a good idea if they screamed off that area outside so you could just see the pretty garden .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting is just lovely. Inside it is quite an old fashioned hotel but in a nice innocent and traditional way. The decor is old fashioned but everything is clean. The breakfast is very nice and custom made for you.

The hotel hosts weddings and other receptions and when this happens there is no parking. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the next room so I recommend requesting not being next to a family if you don’t want to be kept awake.

We were upgraded to a lovely room, which also had a very comfortable sofa, The bed was comfortable...so much so that I wanted to stay in it instead of going down for breakfast, though in the end, the knowledge that the breakfast would be as excellent as the previous evening's dinner triumphed. The food at Garvock House is always both interesting and beautifully prepared and presented. I enjoyed my chicken, but regretted not ordering the haunch of venison, of which I was given a morsel by my wife. It was tender, full of flavour, and a delight on the palate

Breakfast was fine, but not as good as the dinner. The bacon was overdone, and the yokes of the fried eggs were firm. I have stayed at Garvock House many times, and this was unusual, so I am certain next time we go....and we certainly shall...breakfast will be as perfect as dinner.

A very comfortable stay at this family owned and run hotel. It’s obvious that the customer comes first. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. We didn’t eat dinner on this occasion but have eaten here before and the food was excellent; fresh and tasty. My husband is coeliac and he was impressed with the Scottish breakfast which included gluten free haggis, sausage and black pudding as well as the other cooked breakfast ingredients. These small things make all the difference and in our experience aren’t often available in other hotels. All the staff were friendly. Our room, on the ground floor was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and made for a decent nights sleep.

The room was spacious, clean & very comfortable. Very quiet & we had a deep sleep. The staff opened the restaurant for us at 5.30pm as we were attending a show at carnegie hall. They went above & beyond to make our stay an enjoyable experience, thank you all!! Food was delicious, good variety on evening menu, well cooked & beautifully served. Cant fault anything, definitely recommend & we will be back!!

Nothing, everything was wonderful.

The service from the staff on the whole was excellent, the bar staff in the evening could of been a bit more interactive, The breakfast were of a high standard and certainly was a good start to the day, the evening meal we had was of a high standard and really enjoyed.

Better commination from the bar staff in the evening, not just clear off and make it obvious they wanted to shut the bar. Gin glasses at the bar would of also been a nice touch for a gin and tonic. Also could of done with a do not disturb for the room as some mornings we didn't need to rush off
