A pleasant place to stay in Preston. The rooms are of a good standard, well decorated and maintained. There was a problem with my check-in (I was an hour or so early and had requested early check-in if available and a call to advise me if not - the call didn't happen), but it was quickly addressed with a call to the remote team and I was let in early, for which I was grateful.

The 'hotel' is not visibly manned, but shares an entrance with (an outstanding) restaurant which, slightly annoyingly to the guest, gives the impression that it really ought to be.

The accommodation was required in a hurry due to storm causing train cancellation. It was ideal in a difficult situation…. no muss, no fuss!

First time using the self entry system, but that not the property itself, it was just hard to suss about using your hand to reveal the number pad. Not a downside, just a learning moment ☺️

Very convenient - I liked the self check in as it meant we didn’t have to stress about what time to arrive. It was helpful we got one of the three parking spaces rather than parking elsewhere. It was decorated nicely and overall clean.

The bed linen was a little old with tears/ bobbles and a few small marks. The throw cushions had a few ominous stains on them which put me off a bit and the pillows could have been better. I say this because this is meant to be a 5 star place but those parts didn’t scream 5 stars to me. However when I think about what I paid, it was very good value for money.

We stayed in the Bouquet Apartment located on the ground floor. Beautiful room couldn’t fault anything about it. Nice touches bottles of water and milk in fridge. Nice selection of hot drink sachets and biscuits. Sweets in jar. Complimentary toiletries. Had everything we needed and exceeded my expectations. Not far to walk from the high street.

On arrival I was trying to locate our room accidentally tried a door to the side of the bar and was quickly and rudely reprimanded by a female working in the restaurant that this was for staff only. She asked where I was staying told her the room and was curtly told where to go. I felt so uncomfortable my husband was fuming by how rude she was. Put a dampener on our anniversary stay. Wouldn’t return purely for this reason.

We like everything! The rooms are beautiful, the showers are amazing (never want to get out!) & the light up mirrors in the bathroom are so good. The apartments are spotless and the kitchen is brilliant - everything you need with lovely touches such as the sweet jar, water/milk & a great sized fridge. Winckley stays is in a nice, quiet location - we always feel safe here too. It’s our first choice when travelling to preston and I can’t fault it. Lauren & Steph are lovely - they always make sure we have the best stay and that we are comfortable & enjoy our time here. Thank you. Amy & Jamie xx

Not a thing.

We stopped here on our way to Edinburgh to break up our journey and it was the perfect pitstop! We stayed in the beautiful Secret Garden room and enjoyed using the gorgeous golden freestanding tub. The mattress was SO comfy so we had such a great recharge ahead of our journey. Lovely White Company amenities, a well stocked kitchen and some lovely sweet treats too! Great spot right next to a lovely park and a lovely coffee and doughnut stand too!

We found a little something left under the bed by previous guests which left us questioning the cleaning but in the end I think it was more of a height thing as it was hard to spot if you were tall and the rest of the place was spotless and sparkling!

Had a lovely stay in the POLO CLUB room with a kitchenette. Room, bed, kitchenette was clean and comfortable. The interior is very nicely designed. The bathroom is a walk-in wet room shower style. The only thing being the floor gets soaked and goes across the floor in front of the WC and sink area so the bath mat is sodden and you can’t go back in unless you’re wearing shoes/sliders which is a pain. It’s on the doorstep of the lovely Winckley Square which is 5 mins to the High St. Ideal for a city centre stay. Tried to ring the helpline but it went to a recorded message that said leave an email (!). Thank goodness a lady rang us to ask if we’d called earlier and she sorted out our early check-in and let us park in the area outside the apartment. Phew. Thx. Entry is by Yale Electronic Keypad 🔢 which is always a jittery moment. Room entry is via a “carer” key safe on the wall next to the room door. Would definitely here stay again. Travel group- Couple Rooms: - 5 Service: - 5 Location: - 5 Rooms Polo Club kitchenette apartment was a great place to stay. Nearby activities MUST visit the amazing Black Horse pub. I'm always wary of self check-in with key locks and jazzy Yale electronic systems. And the building only runs as a restaurant from Wed-Sun so our check-in on Monday was definitely solo + very quiet. I tried to ring the helpline (as supplied from the verbiage/text) and that said "leave us an email and we'll try to get back to you". Thank goodness a lady rang to say "have you just rung us?". Have an unmanned phone which defaults to "leave us an email" is never a good sign. But she was very helpful and we parked off street next to the building.

Instructions to get to and enter the property were very comprehensive and caused absolutely no problems. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had literally everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was great touch and was gratefully received. The bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen. The bathroom had complementary toiletries and the shower was powerful. The apartment is in a very central location with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc within 5 minutes walk. I have already recommended to friends and will definitely return.

The location was easy to find and found parking straight away. Easy quick self check in. We received an upgraded room and the room was immaculately clean and spacious. Good facilities and comfy bed. Will recommend to stay here.

Everything was great apart from around 4am, we was woken up by some other guests who were trying to access our door and this continued for around half an hour. They other guests had clearly forgotten which room they were in. Obviously this is not the hotels fault but I'm writing an honest account.
