This stay was exceptional in every respect. The hosts/owners quickly became friends, went out of their way to be helpful, provided excellent walking, dinner, & food shopping suggestions. The cottage left nothing to need. The owners thought of everything needed and I'm sure would have provided anything else to make me feel comfortable. A surprise bonus was a cookout every evening on the barbeque patio attended by everyone in residence. For example, I met travelers from Singapore, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and the U.S. The conversation was stimulating. Don't look anywhere else if you are in the vicinity.

What a find! We really enjoyed our stay at Goldfield Suites and our interactions with the hosts, Jolene and Andrew. The unit was very spacious and comfortable. It was furnished and provisioned to a much higher level than one typically gets in a rental unit. For example, there was a horizontal electric fireplace and two comfy quality leather chairs in the living room. The bathroom was very well appointed. We opted for the dinner option and were really pleased with the meal and congenial conversation with the hosts and other guests in a lovely outdoor facility. The hosts also provided lots of valuable information about local attractions and facilities.

Very enjoyable one night stop over. Stayed in a Queen Studio, medium sized room, good sized kitchen area and bathroom. All the amenities you could need for a comfortable nights stay. Jolene and Andy were very friendly hosts, it was really great that they offered a alfresco bbq meal in the evening with any other motel guests who wished to participate - lovely to chat to other travellers and learn about their experiences. Finished the evening off with a dip in the wooden hot tub in the hidden garden, lovely to relax in peace and quiet. All extras were chargeable but well worth it.

Awesome stay with Jolene and Andrew .. starting off with the most delicious slow cooked beef that was out of this world amazing. The suites are very well decorated and inviting with a fantastic bathroom and shower. The bed was super comfortable. We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. There are lots of trails and beaches to explore in the area. We hiked Hokitika Gorge and visited the Pancake Rocks. We had a wonderful evening with Jolene and Andrew dining Al fresco at their beautiful property.

What’s up boutiques style motel. The owners offer a no host dinner, which was amazing and we suggest you opt in when they ask if you would like to join in the dinner. The dinner is a great bargain the food is delicious.

The property is very quiet and peaceful. The owners, Andrew, and Jolene are very gracious and helpful with things and ideas to do in the area.

The location was quiet but conveniently located close to Greymouth. It's a short drive from the beautiful Hokitika Gorge and Glowworm Dell. The one-bedroom apartment was one of only 4 (plus one studio) was spacious, clean and very quiet! We could photograph stars and the Milky Way at night. The birdlife is abundant, even with some resident wekas. We shared a most delicious BBQ dinner with the hosts Jolene and Andrew, who really made us feel at home! Thank you very much for offering us this wonderful stay.

Bungalow exceptionally clean. Powerful shower. Spacious. Attention to detail. Bed comfortable. Beautiful stay. Owner professional and polite

Personally, I found my pillow much to hard. However, there was a spare pillow in the cupboard, which was perfect. French doors lead to narrow decking seating area. The beautiful scenery was obscured by the hedge and closed in. I can only assume high hedge for privacy but would be better if hedge not so high.

What a gem! Perfect, so clean that it felt like a home away from home, all amenities including a milk frother and decent coffee! And finally a tv where we could log on to Netflix ourselves. And privacy ánd an amazing view! This was our refuge after our other motel was a bust and we left a day earlier. We booked this last minute and were welcomed in a super friendly fashion. Jolene gave us tips based on our travel plans and the fact that we spontaneously decided to come here. We’ve been traveling the west coast for a couple of weeks and found that finding a nice place to stay can be difficult in these remote locations. This was a really really nice place to stay. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful quiet location. We were able to book the last room, which is an accessible suite with walk in shower. Toiletries provided, well equipped kitchen. Everything is very clean and new. Very nice comfortable bed with high end bedding. Jolene and Andy were very friendly and helpful and gave lots of good suggestions about local sights.

The property is peaceful, well appointed, and close to the must do activities in the area. Beyond the property, we loved the hospitality of Jolene and Andrew. They provided extensive recommendations for activities and a delicious no host dinner. The additional highlights of our stay was a jungle hot tub and meeting a Weka family.
