Was a bit confused regarding the English food option menu for my wife .

we ate in the on site Indian restaurant the food from starter to dessert was superb compliments to the chef ,excellent service by the staff too.we had a superior suite which was spacious and nicely decorated

unfortunately our room was on the main road side of the hotel so it was quite noisy not the hotels fault i would definately recommend a stay here but maybe book a room at the back of the hotel ,could not get more than 2 channels on the tv which wasnt a problem as we were only there for the night

We had dinner at the hotel the first evening which was excellent - right up there for one of the best Indian meals when eating out - a good choice for vegetarians. Bed was comfy and room spacious and clean. Outside seating area which was great as weather was good. Very friendly welcome. Offered to carry bags up to our room (no lift) Parking at the hotel - just have to key in details. Owners only took over the hotel a couple of months back and have made good progress downstairs with the décor with comfortable seating areas We did not need breakfast as had other plans but need to advise in advance if you do. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay.

As mentioned owners recently taken over so no doubt intend to do more so comments made in this context - our room didn't have any drawers, only a hanging rail, which was fine for a couple of nights but not ideal. The décor in the room was looking like it needed a bit of a refresh, but that said, the room / bathroom was all clean.

The hotel was very welcoming when we arrived, easy to park and check in. Had a lovely meal at the restaurant - the food was so tasty! Lovely walking along the canal which is very close by and we found a fabulous green with big play parks and splash zone. It was a fabulous stop to continue our journey the next day. Our Room was clean, tidy, a big bathroom with a great pressure shower. Yes the room we stayed in needs a bit of love and attention cosmetically - but it was so convenient for us with the price and location we would definitely stay again and look forward to seeing it develop.

The room was very spacious and clean. The en-suite was similarly large with a good sized shower (which I did not need to use being a very short stay). There were drink making facilities and a medium sized TV, all perfectly serviceable. I would be happy to stay there again.

The room was quite warm without aircon, but the windows can open. This made the noise from the main road a bit more of a problem, but was Ok for me. It seems they have tried hard to make nice rooms, but I think one or two of the fixtures may need finishing off. There was no breakfast due to refurbishment I believe, but again, that isn't a problem for me and was known beforehand.

As a business traveller, hotels are often booked at short notice by the “office” with little consultation. Well, here goes, I parked around the back, and at the front, I was greeted by a smart gentleman who then welcomed me as he booked me in. Then, he pointed out that on the ground floor was a Nepalese restaurant. And he carried my bags to my room. What a surprise! Don’t usually get that treatment but here we go. And, the food was fantastic, I had Tawa lamb, and recommend it to everyone. I’m definitely going to use Bennetts again when I’m in the area, one not to be missed!

Breakfast not good value. Cheap products. Night staff didn't clean tables from dinner time so had breakfast alongside previous nights messy tables.

We’ve stayed here twice before and this time was given a room with a shower and sink open in the bedroom, was asked to move as we had gone away as friends not and moved into a room with a separate bathroom. That room was nice and very clean.

Rooms need mirrors by plugs for when you’re getting ready. And maybe a few extra pillows and they a bit flat.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming - made me feel at home and comfortable. Dinner was excellent and served in a beautiful dining room. I was given a full tour of newly refurbished, spotless kitchen and events room. As a single female, would definitely recommend - felt completely at ease.

Rooms need up-dating, but reflected the price paid - also, owners have carried out such improvements in a short time, no doubt this is on the list!

The bed was comfy and the shower room was fine for an overnight stay. The hot water was certainly more than warm enough for washing / shower. The staff were polite and helpful. Parking too was close. The description was accurate.

Although there were warning signs the floor beyond the Shower when wet was slippery - take care if not so good on your feet.
