Small 2 stars family run hotel with restaurant, located in the center of Machico in excellent position. Wooden floor, simple furniture but functional, including a desk, a spacious wardrobe, good wifi, fridge, telephone. A kettle for coffe/hot water is not in the room but available on request. My room (n.1), good for 3 guests, and spacious enough, also had a nice terrace with a table with 4 chairs, excellent for a coffee outside. Bathroom is ok, except for the tired curtain on the tube and the tube itself. With few efforts could be improved. There is no heating system or air conditioning: Not an issue in winter (went there on January and temperature was perfect), and some people told me that on summer is also bearable. However with open window (at least on room N #1) there is the annoying noise of the big pipe of the kitchen extractor fan, that however will stop when kitchen closes. Also some disturb might be caused by the noise of the water pipes, if your neighbors will shower during the night or early morning. "Continental" buffet breakfast is fine, with a selection of sweet and salted items (fresh fruit, yogurt, various cakes, ham, cheese, various types of bread, tomatoes, french toasts, pancakes, cereals, milk, coffee, teas, cioccolate, juices, jams and honey. Some additional dishes, like omelette, eggs, bacon and sausages, are offered in option at extra charge. They even offered to prepare a breakfast package the night before since we were leaving early morning. Room made up daily and towels replaced daily as well. Public parking in the street are closeby, free at night and on weekends after Saturday 14:00. Otherwise rates are 2 euros for 3 hours. Note: if you park your car at night and don't want to wake up at 8 to pay, just pay in the night: the ticket will show the net paid parking time starting from 8:00 am. Local restaurant is ok, but is also plenty around. Overall good value for money, exceeding standard 2 stars hotel.

Few effort needed to renew the bathroom.

Simple and easy. For sure not the newest one, also not the cleanest. But for this money absolutely worth it. We got breakfast for takeaway, the host is really friendly and also the restaurant i can recommend! For sure there are a lot of better rooms around i guess, -the best years are over, but the deal was cheap and we got what we searched for.

Dustbin wasnt empty

Location was great for us - just one night - late flight in and meeting friends back at airport next day. Easy to get in, quiet, good communication leading up to our visit.

Since we arrived late - there was no one to talk to and we couldn’t find anything that said when breakfast was so we missed it.

The staff was really nice and welcoming. The hotel was fair value for money.

The wifi did not work at our room, I missed eggs at breakfast, but given the price, the breakfast was ok.

Great location, very cheap price to stay, clean!

No lift so had to drag a very heavy bag up 2 flights upstairs, no air con in the room and quite noisy from generator running outside our window.

Good bed and breakfast hotel in the middle of Machico. Close seaside and fish restaurant. Good selection to have bed and breakfast together with PR8 sunrise trip in the morning :)

Outside noise (maybe due to night showers) and beds could be improved to increase the comfort of sleeping. Public parking is close but not free (except weekends).

Everything as it should be + a nice breakfest includes in the price. Also very good price if you want the half board option. We didn’t try the dinner but it looked good.

The location was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was charming and our room was nice with a little balcony.

The bathroom was uncomfortable with no room to get out of the shower and dry yourself.
