The staff at the hotel were lovely, bed super comfy and the food in the restaurant was beautiful

great location , good parking, good food and beer. Very helpful and pleasant new owners doing a lot to improve this great place. The staff are well trained and hence I got great service for dinner.

Bedrooms , by the owners own admission are to be modernised and refurbished soon but they are still very spacious and comfortable. The beds and linen are very luxurious. If they are brought up to the standard of the public rooms this will make this already good hotel an even better place to stay. Great on going investment by the new owners is a delight to see.

The hotel had been recent bought by new owners who are committed to improving the environment and facilities and making it a venue welcoming of locals and visitors. There was evidence of some upgrading to public areas which was very tastefully done The food was very good, the Sunday carvery was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive.

There were no staff on duty in the building overnight. I wondered how the building would be evacuated, whio would be directing guests to safety, and taking a roll call in case of fire.

We were informed that there was a problem with the central heating but when we arrived it was warm and welcoming. the receptionist was very cheerful and helpful and explained that there was evening entertainment that night. The rooms were functional and warm but lacked a little maintenance TLC. The evening meal was tasty, filling and the service was prompt and cheerful. Breakfast was at the time we requested and used locally sourced ingredients, very tasty but maybe lacking beans for a Full breakfast.

The temporary lack of heating and a few more guests would have created a slightly better atmosphere, this was probably due to people being informed of the heating problem. The change of menu meant that our favorite, Kedgeree, was no longer on offer.

Very convenient in the centre of Moffat. The new owners had only been in a few weeks and although there was major renovations taking place this did not distract from our stay. Once finished, this will be an excellent hotel with plenty of parking at the rear. Definitely one to consider for a future stay.

Breakfast wasn’t included and there were no pricing options on the menu. The conclusion being whatever you chose, breakfast would cost £12.50/head. Only one member of staff serving at breakfast meant that delivery was a little slow.

Rooms were recently refurbished to an good standard. The usual facilities were provided and a good selection of teas/coffees The food was particularly delicious and the breakfast was exceptional, especially the porridge. The staff were absolutely amazing and the new owner was very keen to do everything he could to help us

The headboard although it is a modern design needs to be affixed to the bed to stop the pillows from sliding down

very comfortable hotel, warm and friendly staff and attentive host. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent Scottish breakfast. Dinner also very good, simple menu using mainly local produce, cooked with care and love. What;s not to like? New owners have made great progress in a short time, and it is already proving popular with locals and visitors. Thoroughly recommended.

The new owners of the hotel were friendly and made us feel welcome, and it seemed as nothing was too much trouble for them. The new decoration in the dining room and bar areas is gorgeous. Beautiful comfy beds in our room and excellent.room service too

There was nothing to dislike.

This is our third visit to the Annandale arms hotel so we obviously like it. We like the location in the middle of town and close to the M74. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is good secure parking at the rear of the hotel. We love the small cosy bar and the music nights are exceptional, like having acoustic musicians in your living room. What makes this hotel is the warm welcome and really friendly staff who work so hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. We will be back again soon.

Everything was as we expected it.

On our first visit on the 21st May, the owner / manager arranged for a diiferent room for us on a lower level when she saw that I had mobility problems and the alternative room was ready very promptly. The beds were very comfortable and the cooked breakfast was freshly prepared i.e. not a buffet style. The coffee at breakfast was served in a cafetiere and was excellent!

The toast that was served at breakfast could have been nicer. I think it was just prepared using sliced bread.
