An older property but well maintained, pretty much what you would expect from a motorway services hotel. Quite a few dogs staying during our visit however did not experience any noise. Checking in beforehand is useful after a long journey in that they have your registration for the parking and all details so collect key and go. Absolutely nothing wrong with this property other than perhaps the limited choices for a meal at the services themselves as the location is quite isolated however enough choice that only a very picky eater would go hungry. However... A WARNING! The roads around the services are in extremely poor condition with very deep potholes which would make your local council envious. I hit one in the dark and burst a tyre which was massively inconvenient and expensive, This is in no way a criticism of the Days Inn as I'm sure they have no control over the state of the roads on the entire service plaza. I cannot stress enough how bad this problem is, without exaggeration you would have to see them to believe how bad they are. Beware!

Not a complaint as such , but I booked a disabled room as I have pretty widespread osteoarthritis, I was disappointed to see the bath /shower was not a walk in type, unfortunately I cannot physically or safely climb over the bath side , I have stayed at other Days inns and was a touch disappointed with the lack of shops although I guess by the building works there may be more coming , but in saying this I had a comfortable stay , just one thing I must add though , the potholes were quite impressive

Great value for money and the fact that it was dog friendly but still a very clean room.

I would have loved if breakfast had more healthy options for kids such as yogurt, cereal and apple juice (I saw only orange juice). It was English breakfast with harsh browns, sausage, baked beans, and bacon. I am vegetarian. But again can't complain as it was still great value for money and the gentleman serving us was very kind to us. Also, there were other shops nearby with other options to purchase.

We stay here regularly on the way up and down from the Highlands - it's always comfortable and really good value, with a comfortable bed, decent shower and a sofa - this time, we had a really great room with views of rabbits playing, which was lovely and, when it got dark, the lights of the trucks going by at room level.

Just the step down out of the bath/shower, and I'm not fond of a shower curtain to be honest - feels like too long a drop, and I'd prefer an assist rail on the right, as opposed to by the taps, but I'm not marking down for that!

A really convenient stop, en route from Heysham to Aberdeen. The service station has a variety of shops, including a Starbucks, Burger King and a WH Smith’s. The hotel is clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was large, has decent free wifi, a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. We were in room 10 and it was surprisingly quiet all evening and throughout the night, despite being next to the motorway. Fantastic value- we only paid £42 for the night!

More pillows, and of a better quality would have been nice. No fridge in the room.

Great location, clean and tidy room, much larger than another place we stayed at on another leg of our trip. The main bed was super large and comfortable. I loved that I was able to have a bath after a weary journey.

Only thing that was a small issue was that the hair dryer didn't work, so I had to leave with wet hair, but I went in the services and used the hand dryers! Being super petty - the light switches weren't in a logical order! ;) Lol

The television seems better since my last visit. Breakfast available even earlier (from 6am). When booking it said continental breakfast but the voucher was for a cooked breakfast as before.

Previously prices were very good value but this year they have gradually gone up to match those of other accommodation providers in the area.

We had a very comfortable stay here after a long drive. The room was a large size and we were able to book our dog in the room too for a small fee. Our room was on the ground floor and a short distance from the main entrance/reception which helped when taking our dog out. Parking for the hotel was in the main service area carpark however, hotel residents are asked for their car registration allowing you to park for free. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were available. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet enabling us to have a good night's sleep. Breakfast wasn't included with our stay but we were able to purchase a full English at the adjacent restaurant for around £8.

The rooms were clean and tidy. Yes it could do with a little bit of tlc here and there but for a 2 star hotel it far exceeded my expectations. The bedding was all crisp and white. The towels were fluffy and white and we had 2 hand towels & 2 bath towels each for our 2 night stay. The view from the back of the hotel is lovely, We had a family room and it had 1 double and 2 single beds and there was still plenty of room. There is a vending machine in reception and they also serve beers/wine but you can also go over to the service station and get items there. The good breakfast (within the services) was great food and decent value.

Prices for dogs staying were £5 per dog higher than days inn at Stafford, at Glasgow it was £15 per dog and Stafford was £10 per dog which means l would avoid days inn Glasgow in the future as for myself and friend it was £46 but for the 4 dogs who were kept in cages and not allowed out in the room it was £60 !
