The location is amazing.

The service was not as good as you would expect iba mexico. Starting from the General manager, that shouldn’t be in that position. She has no idea what that position should be. She should be removed immediately. If you have a bad leader it’s obvious the staff will be bad. The pool is a joke for the size of the hotel. We experienced something 180 degrees different on the neighbor property, palapas Del Mar, where service was amazing. They have a good leader not one that has no idea of what customer service is.

The hotel was very nice altough we did not stay at Paraísos del Palmar but in Palapas del mar,breakfast buffet is very good.

Hotel was OK. I had been to Holbox 9 years ago and I thought the island would be more or less the same.NO WAY!!! .If your idea of vacations is endless bars, restaurants, yoga, massage parlors,tours, kite surf schools one after the other along the beach and endless golf cart taxi traffic then Holbox is for you. If you want quiet, natural beauty of endless white beaches this is not the place anymore.Sargazo is an issue,the smell of mountains of rotting seaweed did not bother me very much but this prevented my wife from even stepping on the beach.

Really nice food. Best what we had in Mexico. Nice, friendly waiters. Really recommend to pay for all inclusive, the food is delicious and it would be much cheapper then to go out. The prices on the island are really really really unbelievable high. Especcialy one bar just out of the hotel on the right side Im not joking we paid for 2 cuba libre and 2 glasses of wine 76 dollars!

Our room was niv¡ce but we saw another rooms and really they need some upgrade

We had a great time at Paraiso del Mar. It’s a perfect distance from town - just a 5-10 min walk along the beach. The beach chairs along the beach with servers available to bring you food or drinks was fantastic. Our room was very comfortable and quiet - loved our second floor balcony with a hammock that was kinda hidden in the trees. Breakfast was awesome - good food and slightly different each day. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They have beach towels available for guests.

The hotel is very well located and the private beach with the beach bar is super convenient. The room is quite big and the bed is also super comfy!! The staff is very nice always available and happy to help. We arrived at 10.30pm at night and they offered us to go have dinner before the kitchen close and then do the check in which we’ve really appreciated. The hotel location is in a quiet area and like 10 min walk from the center of Holbox.

The shower could be refreshed but it was fine though.

The staff is welcoming, friendly, and most speak both Spanish and English. The location is fantastic, right across from a beautiful beach and a 10-minute walk from the little town. The breakfast buffet was generous with many options such as cook to order eggs, and waffles. The front office staff listened and quickly resolved issues. For example, we were without hot water for several days but didn't really mind the room temp showers as it was very hot outside. Once we did report it, it was fixed by the time we got back from dinner. We also had a leaky faucet, which was replaced within an hour. We loved the Master Suite and it was a great home-away-from home.

Wi-Fi was incredibly sporadic, which was annoying as it took forever to simply look up a restaurant option for dinner (we did not participate in the all-inclusive option). Also, It would have been nice if there was a small ice cube tray in the freezer box in the small fridge.

We had a little tricky booking with three rooms that we changed to two later. This was handled in a great way when we arrived even if it took a long time. Next time we will have learned the lesson and keep things simple.

It was impossible to reach staff by phone the days before arrival. We had some questions about the rooms but ended up having to take a chance with the booking. We had a broken light in the shower in one of the rooms. This was not fixed until right before we left. We left early and asked if we could get a small breakfast in a bag at checkout. This was not prepared and led to the taxis having to wait for us and charging us more. A lousy start on a long trip home.

The cleaning staff was excellent and cleaned daily, which is a must because it’s almost impossible to keep sand out of the room. Breakfast was excellent with cook to order eggs and plenty of fresh fruit, juice and vegetables. Entire staff is very friendly. The hotel is approximately 9 blocks to the downtown area. A bank is located in town a couple of blocks from the ferry landing. Exchange rate at the airport was $16.50 peso to US $1; the bank was $18.89 pesos to US $1.

The rooms are a little dated and need some upgrading on the floors. Our room had broken boards and weak boards where you felt as if you would break one or fall through the floor. Not one paved road on the island, which is fine,but any road maintenance would help the enormous pot holes which collect standing water for days after a rain. The people on the Holbox are very friendly and accommodating.

We liked the room, very spacious, loved the jacuzzi. Also the beds were really good. Placement of the hotel is good, just 10/15 minutes walk from the center. Service at the beach is really nice to have. Really enjoyed our stay

Breakfast was not that spectacular, everyday was basically the same. We had 2 nights of screaming people near our room after midnight, we would have thought security that walks the grounds would intervene but never did. The pool is small and very few sunbeds available.

It was a beautiful hotel and the food and cocktails were very good.

I didn't like that we were put in a unsuitable room and that I had to convince them to be moved. Some manners of staff were also questionable. It wouldn't be enough to make me not choose the hotel and it was a very beautiful spot.
