Breakfast was good. There were enough choices to make it to lunch: coffee and tea, pastries, croissants, muffins, waffles, fruit, and more. However, the breakfast area is a bit small, and it gets so busy at times that there's no place to sit. It's probably better when the weather is better because there are tables outside, but the rain didn't let us. Friendly customer service. Nice hot tub. The rooms are nice, and the bathrooms are big enough. A fridge and microwave available in the room. Keurig for coffee and tea. Enough parking spaces. The location is central. We had a good stay !

My grandson missed a pool as the weather was not the best and the water was too cold to swim.

This was the fourth time we have chosen to stay at the Inn on Long Lake, and it still is a great choice. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, and it is very quiet overnight as all rooms face the lake so the highway traffic is muted. Views over the lake are inspiring, from sunsets to early sunrise, always great photo ops. Breakfast in the dedicated room off the lobby is very well set out, ample choices from fruits, breads, cereals, waffles, delicious mini omelettes & hard boiled eggs. Excellent choices, and again, the view out over the lake.

Minor complaint, only decaf Kurig coffee pods in the room, but still tasty before going down for breakfast and regular coffee. :-) It would be handy to have a hook on the inside bathroom door, someplace to hang clothing when showering. Otherwise all was very pleasant for our weekend stay, as usual.

Great location close to town and the ferry port yet a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle. Every room has a lake view and a balcony which was so cool. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, beyond most hotels! Staff was kind and helpful at all times! The continental breakfast was a bonus and even though somewhat limited, had something for everyone from bagels to fruit to yogurt and eggs and even a waffle maker which was very popular (they should add a second one so the wait is not so long). The hot tub and sauna were unique and a treat although too hot for us to enjoy for more than a dip. We were only here one night and it was rainy so we didn’t do any lake activities but thought it was so cool that you could rent kayaks and paddle boards right from the hotel! We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Balcony view to the lake was great. Room was big with lots of space for us to spread out and repack our gear. Hot tub and sauna were good and the lake would be fun on a warm day, otherwise nice for the views. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast. A good amount of choice and engaged staff. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities were inexpensive and much appreciated.

For the price and location, there was not much negative. It has a bit of a tricky entrance from the north (you have to turn left onto nearby street, go a little way and swing back, but much better than being on a high traffic thoroughfare.

I loved that they have a mini fridge with a good sized freezer! OMG we can freeze our icepacks for our day trips+ picnics. Nowhere have I seen such great wee fridges in hotel/motels lately. The Housekeeping staff were friendly + helpful too. Very convenient off the highway just few kms north of the ferry + downtown made it so easy to get where we wanted to go ie getting more supplies for our day trips, gassing up the vehicle etc. And a beautiful lake + seating areas outside of the breakfast room as well as all suites have that beautiful view as well. They served a continental breakfast as well which was a little low because we slept late but it was a good start for the day. I would suggest they provide packets of cream cheese for the bagels! Plus they had a decent cable/TV system like I'm used to, so I could watch my news of the day!😎

Great central location for trade shows & beautiful outlook over the lake. It was clean.

I misunderstood the housekeeping policy & we didn’t get any touch ups the first full day. However, I corrected that with the front desk after the first night requesting daily housekeeping but, aside from remaking the beds nothing else was done. Used coffee cups, glasses, & the empty facial tissue box were left untouched with no sign of any cleaning being done. Twice during our 3 day stay I had to go to the front desk to fetch supplies. Front desk staff were pleasant & obliging. I’m sure it’s communication issue with the housekeepers but we didn’t leave happy.

I have enjoyed staying at Inn at Long Lake for many years. I'm from out of town but have errands and appointments that I schedule there. The location, the rooms, and the staff are what keep me returning. The rooms are well equipped, the bathrooms and other aspects of the rooms look like they are well maintained and even upgraded in many of the different rooms that I have stayed in. The beds are important to me and they allow for a good nights sleep. The location is perfect for my errands and appointments that I bundle together for my visits to Nanaimo and the staff have always been courteous and helpful. The ambience of the lake and the ducks are a pleasure and they make me forget about the hustle and bustle of the busyness of the city.

I have not always enjoyed the breakfast offerings, however, it's not a deterrent for me to return. I enjoy a hearty sit down breakfast so I go to a restaurant to meet that need. What is offered at the Inn is adequate for me to get started on my day. A piece of toast, or a waffle, and a coffee hit the spot for my needs. I go to a restaurant for food, not a room for the night, so likewise, I go to an Inn for a good nights sleep, not a meal.

We just had a 1 night stopover here after arriving by ferry, but were really surprised at how good it was. The staff were lovely and helpful. There is a guest self service laundry which was great. Our room was a good size with a big patio overlooking the lake. We watched the "Blue Supermoon" rising over the lake at night-amazing! And then watched a family of otters playing by the shore. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen. There is a small kitchen area with tea and coffee making and a microwave and fridge. Complimentary breakfast was far more than we expected. Lots of choice including hot omlettes as well as waffles, fresh fruit yoghurt , croissants and muffins.

Nothing, it's a perfect stopover but we could have stayed longer and been quite comfortable. Just don't try to walk to the supermarket, it's further away than it looks on foot.

The staff was very friendly & helpful when needed. Room was very clean & the beds very very comfortable. The breakfast our first morning of 4 mornings was excellent with a good selection of fruits, breads, protein etc. The grounds were well groomed.

The breakfasts for the last three mornings was sparse, no hard boiled eggs, no fruits other than apples that looked a bit tired, there was only one toaster so a longer wait for a turn. There is no hanger/hook on the bathroom door or anywhere in the bathroom to hang a towel or robe or clothing while showering or changing clothes, just the counter top by the sink. The patio screen door of room 105 needs fixing or replacing as it was extremely difficult to slide it open or closed.

The location was excellent and as all rooms overlook Long Lake, the view is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable and as our room was on the first floor, it was great for stepping out onto the patio of a cocktail. Complimentary breakfast has good choices. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

I thought the charge for parking was a bit excessive given that the price of the room was not.
