There was a problem with our cottage accommodation to begin with but manager Kieran informed us by telephone in advance and everything was done to accommodate us while our booked cottage was made ready. The staff were so friendly and could not have done enough for us. We had a meal one night which was delicious. The propert was warm, comfortable and spacious.

The breakfast serving was only an hour from 8-9am I would have perhaps appreciated an extra hour until 10 over Christmas. The boiler in the cottage was on constant and quite noisy. It was situated in the living room where there is a sofa bed and a family member was sleeping.

The hotel staff were welcoming and kind. Breakfast was delicious and service was spot on. The room was big and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also big and spacious.

The room was very cold when we arrived and no way of warming it up. One of the towels was wet and the duvet cover was damp in some places. The first night and morning we were very cold. There was no mattress protector on the bed, just a thin sheet. Knowing many different people sleep in the bed made me feel a little icky. But when we spoke to a lovely lady in the morning all our concerns were sorted, the heating was put on. A little heater for our room and Clean, fresh towels.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant throughout our stay. Additionally the breakfasts were as good as we have ever experienced and the one evening meal we had was also very good. Our room was good with a very comfortable bed.

The bathroom in our room needs a bit of tlc/modernisation and the bar area and breakfast room/restaurant could do with the same. That being said, and to be fair, the team are very new after a recent change of ownership and they are very keen to improve things as soon as they can. I am sure they will succeed.

We were upgraded to a beautiful room with a lovely big bathroom. The bed was superking and so comfortable. The room had coffee and tea making facilities and some good biscuits! Well equipped with a hairdryer, quality linen and towels and some luxury bathroom products.

Only slight issue was the shower head was a bit loose and had a mild of its own. Also, a tiny niggle was we could hear the music from the bar , ot wasn't really loud and finished at a reasonable time but I guess that's to be expected when staying in a pub.

We stopped for 2 nights whilst on our way to Devon. The Thatched Cottage has just changed hands and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They have a good menu and the food was lovely. Our room was over the restaurant but chatter and the soft music was not intrusive. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The cafettiere was a nice touch too. The bathroom was a little tired but sure they will be updating in the future. We would stay again and wish them all the best in their new endeavour.

A perfect location for my husband to reach the local hospital, as we were travelling up from Devon we decided to make it easier by staying locally the night before the appointment, we were so pleased we did! We had an excellent welcome by Seren on arrival, a perfect meal, then we went into a spotless room for the night. The next morning we were welcomed again by Seren, then we had a perfect breakfast. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Thatched Cottage Inn.

I really liked The Thatched Cottage. We received a very warm welcome from Kevin. The room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious, I got the best porridge ever. We found out that the hotel is under a new management and the new team has been running it for two months only. I am sure that they would try to do their best to make more improvements. It will be nice to return here again. We wish all the best to the hotel's team. Thanks a lot for your hospitality.

Really exceptional service from the Manager, beautiful beamed room, good en suite too. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open on the Sunday night we were there but the Manager recommended a Fish & Chip restaurant a short walk away which was awesome. Great full English Breakfast & only a few miles from Avebury & Glastonbury where the accommodation was way more expensive!

A truly wholesome and welcoming experience. The staff are absolutely lovely, the room was beautiful, the breakfast was so tasty and the views were gorgeous.

The only thing I could say would be the hash browns in the breakfast could be better. Literally everything else was perfect!

Very friendly and helpful staff and really easy to check in and also check out.

The floorboards were very noisy in th bedroom and there could have been been a bit more soundproofing over the bar area. Breakfast service could have been more professional (we were told no porridge a good 15 minutes after ordering).
