Spectacularly beautiful grounds. Relaxed vibe. Fabulous food. Super breakfast included. Massive portions and top quality ingredients..Friendly staff. Lots of little extras. Yummy brownie in the room every day. Fab selection of teas, coffees, good quality biscuits and toiletries in the room. Bed super comfy and great pillows too. Very clean and the stylish yet cosy decor made me feel at home. Great communal areas with wonderful views. Chunky chips were the best chips I have ever had!

Nothing really. The room had a bit of peeling paint and could have done with a little TLC but this was a very minor thing and was purely cosmetic. It didn't affect my enjoyment in any way.. great value for money.

The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and pleasant. The location was good with the hotel being surrounded by what appears to be a well presented golf course. The room I was in was pleasant and quiet and the hotel is effectively boutique because it only has 12 rooms but the facilities were good and the cleaning staff pleasant and efficient

I had the hotel's fish pie on my fist noght and enjoyed it so much that I ordered the same for the second night. Regrettably the second one was not up to the standard of the first one, which was quite simply excellent. That is the only gripe I have

Everything about the stay was fantastic. The surroundings, location and rooms. The lady on reception when we arrived and when we left was lovely and very professional. She remembered information about us which made the experience very personal. The breakfast was great and the restaurant was very amenable to all our requests. An all round amazing stay

The only issue was the sign for the night door was a little misleading but we were told where it was when we checked in

This was my second stay at Horsley Lodge - as I had enjoyed my first stay so much. Staff were very helpful and friendly, room was lovely - clean, spacious and comfortable - it was really nice to be able to have a bath rather then just a shower - which seems to be the normal these days. My friends and I had afternoon tea - which was lovely, we also ate in the restaurant in the evening and had breakfast the next morning. The food on each occasion was lovely. Would be very happy to stay again and very happy to recommend.

Amazing views from the bedroom. Ambience. Peaceful. Excellent value for money

No plug in bath tub. Shower was great as in it was powerful, but couldn’t adjust position, which meant it was pointing upwards and water everywhere. Couldn’t get through to reception at 8.15 to inform. I let them know on checking out, they said they will look into it

Really nice location with great surroundings. Rooms very spacious and clean. Excellent food and restaurant/bar staff particularly at breakfast.

At 5'11 i'm not particularly tall yet my feet were hanging over the edge of the bed, it was very short in length. Although there was a heater provided in the bottom of the wardrobe, the room was very cold throughout the stay.

nice food, amazing grounds, large room, clean, polite staff and good location, nice room touches like free water and biscuits, non slip bath mat and a fan.

couple of small mistakes like having a shower plumbed in too cold - had it on the highest heat and it was tepid water temperature. on second day our room wasn’t cleaned, towels changed or bed made/refreshments replenished. but it didn’t affect our stay as staff soon put it right. we generally did have trouble sleeping because the room was so hot - and even with windows open we couldn’t figure out why the room heated up so much on its own! we will be back but will probably stay in a different room.

Our breakfast was superb although my wife found the smoked salmon to smoky, personal taste, and it was served on white bread despite requesting brown which was an option offered. I was offered either fried, scrambled or poached egg with my full English and I chose poached but it arrived fried but despite these issues the food was excellent.

Other than the issues with breakfast the only other thing that we found was that the shower screen, over bath shower, was quite short resulting in water getting onto the bathroom floor.

it would have been nice for the fruit juice and cereals to be out to help yourself at breakfast as it wasn't clear that you had the option to have them as well as the cooked breakfast.

Everything about this place was great, all the staff were lovely, breakfast excellent, rooms comfortable and had everything, location picturesque. They also made a special effort with my 95 year old dad to keep him safe and gave him the best time. Also my lad had a great game of golf, joined up with a couple of the members that made him very welcome, on the last day got a lesson with the golf professional which was very valuable, thank you everyone.
