After a long drive, it's great to find accommodation in a superb location with secure on site parking. The addition of a welcome pack with basics like milk, water, tea, coffee etc is brilliant, and a first glance at your surroundings reveals a smart modern and very clean apartment, including toiletries in the bathroom. Located on Friar Gate it's easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars, and the town centre is just a little further. Having used The Stay Company on previous visits, I'm happy to say their high standards still remain, so I will be happy to return in the future.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The cereals provided gave a good choice for breakfast, but my wife took her own muesli as she prefers that. The rooms were nice and cosy and quite quiet. I put a mark for the host but they are really telephone backup. They were very helpful and apologetic when a problem arose accessing the key to get in.

The key collection box didn’t operate and we had difficulty phoning for help. Once through, the assistant opened the box remotely. My wife has a coccyx problem so prefers to lie down to watch TV in the evenings. The couch was a bit small but she was prepared for that. The kitchen cupboards were a bit high as we are both less than five and a half feet tall! Cups and plates were on the top shelves which required a chair to get them. I also found problems with the TV remote control which could mean the batteries need to be changed. Also, there was not much room in the shower room to put personal items down. Nothing serious overall.

My friends and I have stayed in this building a couple of times previously, but this was our first time in this particular apartment. It too was to a great standard, and we'll happily return.

Being really picky here, but some hooks on the wall and even a shoe rack in the dead space by the front door to the apartment would be useful. Also, the main living area is lovely and large, but there were no options to soften the lighting the evening we spent watching films and chatting - a couple of standing lamps by the sofas would really help the ambience!

Everything exactly as described - in fact it was like new. Had a problem working the heating so reporting and this was rectified straight away. Arriving on Sunday evening when most shops were closed the welcome pack was gratefully received.

My friend is disabled and needs a really comfy chair if he sits for any length of time. As it was we spent quite a lot of time in the apartment as it was soooo cold so we didn't venture out as much as we had intended. He needs a chair with a high back but I guess this would be too much to ask. Also there were 2 very spacious bathrooms and it would have been easy to make one or both a wet room for people with disabilities even some grab rails would help. However, we didn't ask for this we just wonder why it wouldn't be a standard thing to do.

Easy to collect the keys from the lock box and get into the apartment. All apartments are clearly labelled from outside so you know which door to enter. The first room we were given didn't have a dishwasher as advertised, but i sent a message via booking.com and they resolved it very quickly and moved us to an even better room. Plenty of parking available and getting in and out of the parking is gated and locked felt very secure and safe.

There was a big spider in the kitchen that came out at night, would've been good to have a mop and broom for cleaning the floors and more dishwasher tablets provided.

Lovely apartment, clean, convenient, comfortable, all mod cons in an attractive development. Secure parking, close to city centre. Check-in is all automated with codes and key fobs, which always makes me slightly nervous, but it's quick and easy if you follow the instructions. I particularly liked that they had kept the original Georgian(?) sash windows which you could open (it was warm) but which also had secondary glazing for privacy and quiet. So many places you can't open a window, so full marks for that!

Minor point, but I would have liked a recycling bin.

Was in Derby for training. Chose to stay here for 4 nights as price was very reasonable, location suited me and there was secure parking. Stayed in an outbuilding with kitchen and living area on the ground floor, bedroom and bathroom above. accomodation was spotless, internet fast (80mbs download and upload speeds) and water pressure was good. Giving 5 stars as it was easy to tell the owners and staff take great pride. Little details like a handwritten welcome card, the way the selection of coffee and biscuits was presented and the handbook, that as well as including the house rules and the manuals for the white goods, also gave food and drink venues nearby and brief description of the attractions available including parks. And when i emailed to request a VAT invoice, I had it within 5 minutes. Will stay here again when I next return for training.

Nothing to report

Property was very clean, easy to find with secure parking on site. Property had everything we needed including additional items like salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, a pint of milk, some bottled water, sweetener, washing up liquid and sponge, tea towel, oven gloves, plus all the usual plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc. There were toilet rolls and some small toiletries in the bathroom. The bedroom had a fan. There is heating at the property although we didn't use it. The bed was a double and was comfortable. The street is pretty quiet but when there is noise, you can hear, although it wasn't so much that it disturbed us. The double shower was good. Towels left were enough for two people. The property is within walking distance of the city centre if you fancy a night out / drink / meal. Really nothing to complain about at all. We would definitely use the property again if we returned.

Not a complaint, but something for others to be aware of. We rented an 'apartment', so we assumed it was on one level. However what we had was a one bedroom property that was over two floors. This wasn't an issue for us as we are mobile, but something for those with mobility difficulties to be aware of.

The apartment was clean, modern and spacious. Was a solo trip in great a location footsteps away from the town centre. Its also close to lots of amenities. I actually stayed as a part of a solo wellness weekend for myself and the flat had absolutely everything so i didnt need to leave to buy anything extra unless i needed/wanted to. All utensils were provided to be able to cook a meal. They even provided complimentary breakfast items such as cereals, milk and snacks. Free secure car parking was available right outside the apartment block. Netflix worked like a charm so i had entertainment throughout my stay. Check-in was really smooth...theres quite a fair bit of instructions but if you take your time as your following them it all becomes clear and straightforward. The apartment even had a small outside area attached to the bedroom so if you needed some fresh air without actually fully leaving the apartment there was access. I would 100% be staying again the room was PERFECT for myself and would also be perfect for a couple. The hosts did a superb job to provide everything to be able to have a self-sufficient stay, i did however forget toothpaste so i would have definitely benefited from it if it was provided within the vanity pack. But 10/10 as i thoroughly enjoyed my stay to the point where i actually wanted to book another night but to no surprise it was fully booked. Thank you stay company
