The staff there are excellent as usual. Especially the 2 ladies that do the breakfast service, one of them is called Christina, the Assistant Bar Manager and the evening restaurant Manager Mo. Exceptional service they cannot do enough for you in making you feel special during your stay.

Everything was excellent highly recommend it's not the cheapest hotel and the food can be a little expensive, They do however need to revamp the menus that have additional costs written excessively small and no explanation as to why your paying the extra. That is a very small grumble but on the whole outstanding.

Excellent hotel staff extremely professional, breakfast excellent value, the only slight complaint I would make is the room I stayed in was very close to another room to get to my room I had to use three doors so did the other guests unfortunately they were just letting the doors slam shut this disturb me late at night early in the morning.

Perhaps someone could stop the doors slamming so hard when the door closes or just put a sign on the doors asking guests to close the doors quietly.

A good location once we located a place to park. Easy walk to the pier etc and not far from the Royal Pavilion, one of our reasons to be in Brighton. Lovely staff, helpfully moving us to a room without three flights to climb. Very comfortable bed, super ensuite bathroom. The usual excellent Hotel du Vin breakfast and light meals in the evening so as to fully enjoy the breakfast!

Our only downside was car parking - not the hotel's fault, of course - which was £42 and perhaps over five minutes walk away to a below ground multi-storey. Unfortunately, 'London prices', as somebody suggested. And that is the only reason we would say the location was any less than superb. Maybe this was taken into account in the room rate.

Fab location close to the seafront and the town. Friendly welcome. The building is beautiful too. We love Hotel du Vin for their elegant interiors and great food and service, and in these respects, the Brighton branch didn't disappoint. The best piña colada in town! Comfy bed. Nicely appointed room with lovely Toiletries.

We were in Beringer, one of the classic rooms. The bathroom looked a bit tired in places and could have done with repairs to the grout and bath panel and a little more attention to cleaning the less obvious areas like around the overflow and taps, but still a nice bathroom.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had booked the right hotel for our short break away in Brighton. We were met with a smile from Becky and Diego on Reception, they were so friendly, booking in was quick and easy. We asked for a lower floor room and our request was granted. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable, we had the best nights sleep in ages, so quiet too. The bathroom was stunning with a roll top bath and huge shower, L'occitane products which had the most amazing scent. The courtyard, just outside our room was lovely to sit in, in the sunshine and have a drink delivered to our table by the friendly, helpful bar staff. The bar inside was beautiful decorated too on two floors. Breakfast was delicious, served by friendly, helpful staff. We felt really pampered at this hotel and will be returning soon.

There was nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The room was stunning, enormous with great facilities and very comfortable. The staff, particularly the Reception staff were very friendly and efficient.

The room wasn't as clean as we would have liked, there were large cobwebs and dried pigeon mess on the wood floor which had obviously been walked in from the balcony. The lighting was also not right as the large lamp by the seating area didn't have a plug on it and therefore the room was either very dark or too bright. The various lights couldn't be switched on independently.

Great location and lovely architecture and style

The Reception staff when I initially tried to check in I felt were under pressure and we’re not very caring about my luggage just being left lying which I wasn’t happy about it should put the secure location anyway because I walked in and taken my whole which was Louis Vuitton so obviously attract sorts of people to want to steal it. I have stayed in central hotel Dave all over the country and that’s the first time that’s happened. I felt that the Stafford under pressure and I took blame over the management leaving one staff member and reception and a queue of people very unprofessional, especially this is a tremendous problem for anybody.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, being on the seafront within throwing distance of the beach. The room we stayed in had very effective double glazing which meant we didn't hear any of the noise from partygoers or groups sitting outside bars, which was brilliant. The staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. The facilities in the room were good, with Nespresso machine as well as tea-making. The treats, bed and water/food bowls for our dog as well were really appreciated.

The pillows were very soft and so not the most comfortable for me - but I can be quite pillow fussy! Not a problem for us but our room was up 4 flights of stairs, which could be tricky for someone with mobility issues.

The room was well fitted out, with everything we needed for a one night stay. Good bar area downstairs, great location for seafront and The Lanes area. Close to good pubs and bars.

Being given a key card that did not work. As our room was on the third floor in an old building I ended up climbing 11flights of stairs including getting lost. Eventually sorted and given a free drink but it did spoil the initial experience.

Overall nice but a few areas required improvement

Light kept flickering in the cupboard that housed the tea/coffee/safe. Scrambled eggs were lukewarm as the kitchen did the bizarre thing of putting them directly on top of the smoked salmon (thereby also rendering the smoked salmon warm). I don’t like having to stand at a machine making my own tea or coffee in the breakfast room. Towels could have been a lot softer. Silly bath in the bedroom with an unremarkable street view to gaze out at if you had decided to use it
