Very well presented Great location for exploring the highlands

Be aware that a “good breakfast included” as stated on booking.com is only a continental breakfast and not a cooked breakfast which costs an additional £20 per person! Which they try to upsell you at check in It leaves a slightly dishonest feeling with you from the very start of your stay Would be much better if they clearly advised this at time of booking

Beautiful hotel, with lots of character and a calm and cosy environment to relax in. The staff were mostly attentive and very polite. Food was enjoyable. The beds are very comfortable and had a fantastic sleep. There was only two sets of cups/glasses but had three guests in the room, however when requested extra were brought to the room. The room itself was spotless, relaxing and modern.

When greeted, the communication was a little unclear (understandably it could have been due to a slight language barrier but a lovely member of staff) and told it was extra for a cooked breakfast which was not stated when booking. Service was a slow and asked for more water for the table but never received this. Food was good but very overpriced for what it was. Sticky toffee pudding did not have sticky toffee sauce which was disappointing.

I liked the location and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly.

Very poor dining for vegans. Nothing marked and staff had no idea what vegan even meant. This was disappointing as I'd booked specifically as they said catering for dietary needs was no problem. There was nothing marked as vegan and on enquiring the staff did not know what was suitable. Turns out through reading the descriptions of the dishes there was no starter, one main and no dessert option. Confirmed by the kitchen - surprising a chef wouldn't offer to knock out even a salad for a starter! For breakfast nothing was marked and again the staff could not help. Considering the plant based market they're missing a trick. Staff should also be trained on dietary issues as they had no idea what dishes contained dairy. Mine is a personal choice but for many dairy free is not.

Freshly decorated & spotlessly clean room & bed very comfortable friendly & very helpful staff.

Our room was not available at 4pm as advertised due to staff issues and we were told to wait in the lounge/bar area but were not offered a complimentary tea/coffee which would have been welcome, we found the breakfast buffet for a 5 star hotel to be pretty poor & very limited and do not understand why a full Scottish breakfast is not offered as standard, the outdoor seating areas were in need of weeding and looked pretty unkept for a hotel claiming a 5 star rating

Cooked breakfasts cost extra but were generous and beautifully prepared. Dinners were amazing quality and flavour. The Deluxe Suite was so comfortable - we loved having a separate dining/lounge area. TV was a reasonable size for a hotel. The kettle and coffee maker was used every day. Pods, bottled water, and shortbread were refreshed daily. Bathroom was massive with a lovely shower and luxurious bath products. The bedroom area was lovely with quality bedding and linens, which were made up daily. The mattress was so comfortable, and combined with the quiet location we slept soundly every night. Staff were always available when needed, reception always staffed and lots of smiles. Also, the hotel was nice and warm which meant a lot as the weather got frostier. Don't know what home fragrance they used, but the whole place smelled gorgeous. Electric car chargers on site which was ideal for us.

The carpet in our suite had many stains, it was clean but just needed a serious refresh. The wifi could take a while to access. We had to input the code several times over the course of an hour to initially connect, but subsequently had no issues connecting after days out and about. There was a mix up with our meals at our final dinner, but staff did their best to get things sorted.

The deluxe suite was very nice, comfortable bed and nice coffee machine. Lounge area of hotel was comfortable.

Dinner was ok, obviously not alot of eating options in Loch Rannoch so priced on high side for what we got. Felt like staff were all quite new and there were a few spills, tray drops going on. Service at meal time was a bit slow and plates not cleared before next course etc and we had to keep asking for water to be refilled. For the price we would have liked a full hot breakfast, the continental was mediocre.

The superbly comfortable bed. The friendliness of staff. The breakfast. The appetizers and starters on the dinner menu. The drinks menu. The General ambience within the hotel and its stunning location.

Instructions on operating the television and the safe. Shower cubicle could have a handrail, for those less able bodied. Certain items on the dinner menu were really not of appropriate quality. For example the roasted chicken supreme was not accompanied with a Madeira Sauce, instead a poor creamy sauce. Also the Sirloin Steak was 60% Fat and 40% red meat, although to be fair it was beautifully prepared

Beds were comfortable , loved how clean and peaceful the whole hotel was also loved that the tv in the room was adjustable so you can move it to a position to make your view of it better

Could do with more snacks in the rooms as there’s not local shops near that are open at night / or later room service the staff were a wee bit difficult to communicate with and on arrival was told you had to put £100 behind the bar which wasn’t a problem but wasn’t stated when booking the hotel and only got informed when we arrived we never used the bar so got £100 back but for other people/young couples that may not have £100 sitting there to just put away it would be great if was stated when booking

Junior suite was spacious, very clean & well presented. Staff were pleasant on reception, and the hotel restaurant staff were very polite and attentive. The food at the restaurant was delightful, and there was a good continental breakfast buffet with the choice of a cooked breakfast for an extra charge. The scenery around the hotel was stunning, and there is plenty to do and see in the area.

The bed could have done with an additional topper as the super king bed was two singles, this in itself isn't unusual, however there is usually a decent thickness of topper to avoid feeling the mattresses join in the middle. The towel rail in the bathroom was too small to accommodate all of the towels and was never switched on, so it was difficult to dry towels.

Our room was lovely very comfortable and very spacious. The small kitchen area with the fridge was very good to have.

Breakfast was disappointing. We knew it was a continental breakfast but there was not a great choice and no variety on a day to day basis. There was one type of cheese and no hams only chicken and roast beef which don't appeal for breakfast. Pastry choice was limited to the same two each day. We were charge £5 for a latte as it wasn't included! Make the breakfast more varied and genuinely like a contintetal breakfast you would get in a similar type of hotel in Europe and it would be a perfect stay.
