This is a beautiful hotel with a lovely lobby and bar, comfortable rooms, and lovely organic products throughout. I really appreciated the shampoo, condition, body lotion, etc.—all much nicer than what I packed. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the location, which is a ten minute walk from the main shopping area, as it was quiet and very convenient to be picked up and dropped off, when needed. I booked a single room (single bed) which was small but perfectly fine for me.
It was all lovely.

Staff were professional, very welcoming , friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure guests were happy; the breakfast quality and choice was excellent ; the restaurant/ lounge and bar area was relaxing and comfortable with a lovely atmosphere ; the bedrooms and bathrooms were well designed, cleaned to a high standard and comfortable; the location was excellent , with a wonderful view out at the front of the mountain and sea , close enough to the centre and main sightseeing attractions but peaceful and quiet; the small evening dining menu was also a great option especially on our arrival day and when we had an evening excursion booked.
Nothing !

Location was great. I was able to spot the northern lights from my room and then walk down to the harbor to get a better look. Breakfast was tasty and nourishing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. All of this for a great price!
Nothing. It was awesome.

Very nice products in the bathroom including bodylotion, everything smells good. Cozy room with lots of warm lights. Good breakfast, some nice organic products (the rye bread with herring is very good!). Perfect pillows. Free coffee/tea/water at all times in the breakfast area. Free parking right in front of the hotel. Fitness room. Quiet at night. 10-15min walk to the city center.
While it's nice to not be in the middle of Reykjavik it also means you have to walk 5-10min on icy, slippery roads to get there in december (or take your car of course). No seperate heater in the bathroom.

- Staff is amazing and helpful. Made my short trip better beyond expectations - Location! Close to old town, but still outside, so quite and convenient for airport/tour coach pickups. Close to waterfront and some grocery shops. One of the Reykjavik Roasters cafes is in 2-3 minutes walk - Food in the hotel restaurant - Toiletries were really good - Sea/City view. Unexpected bonus: I could observe aurora just from my bed - Room in general
- It would be nice to have a fridge in the room - Low water pressure in the shower

-The hotel is nicely decorated, many thoughtful touches. The hotel lobby includes an extended lounge in both directions. -The staff is helpful, thoughtful and just friendly enough. They are attentive but not imposing. -I have travelled extensively and each day I liked this hotel more. Reykjavik is a small city (140k pop) within a small country of approx 400k. This hotel is very cozy and although not centrally located it is near the shopping street and close to the trendy food hall, "Hlemmur Matholl" which is an indoor food court including Michelin recognized, Skal restaurant. -The hotel offers free coffee, tea and ice water.
-The hotel is situated facing a parking lot so there is no view, nor does the hotel claim to have a view.

Eyja is a small, beautiful, conveniently located hotel. The rooms were comfortable with excellent views. It's located very well, a 10ish minute walk from the city center, and all yours pick you up right at the hotel. Laura and team - the staff at Eyja - went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They were super helpful, responsive and accommodating. We really appreciated all their help in making our stay enjoyable.
Nothing!

Lovely interior and decoration, the room was really comfortable (especially the bed and bedding) and warm, excellent shower and very good breakfast. The staff were so friendly and helpful and even called us a few hours after we left to let us know we’d left an item in the room. We also got upgraded to a sea view room 🙂
There wasn’t anything not to like from what we saw, but we only stayed there one night. I would say that in December we definitely needed a car to get into town - only a 5 minute drive - but it would have been quite a long walk otherwise. I think it’s worth paying for a sea view, as the alternative seemed to be the car park!

Loved the decor - the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was large and cosy. We got a duvet each which was great. Staff were really helpful and kind, the breakfast food was great and had so much variety. They also called us a taxi and it was there in 5 minutes. Everything was so speedy and no hassle!
The only thing I wasn't keen on was the paper cups to have a tea or coffee in within the room. Would be nice to have an actual cup and maybe a wider selection of herbal teas. Also, we basically lived out our suitcases as didn't seem to be much space to store our items.

Has bus stop for Airport bus. Staff amazing, friendly super helpful. Truely went above and beyond with assisting us source clothing(bags were delayed). Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great. Nice variety. Easy walk to every attraction we wished to go to. I messed up booking dates and they sorted it without seeming to make a big deal about it. Appreciated that.
Would have loved a room with twin beds but my daughter survived sharing with me, lol. Would have loved stronger brewed coffee but that is probably just wishful thinking as Aussies love their coffee strong.
