The location is great, a nice stroll to the castle. We stayed in one of the separate buildings, room was nice and spacious. Reception gave me a rose on arrival as international women’s day which was a lovely gesture.

The breakfast is a little disappointing. Although there is plenty on offer, it doesn’t feel on keeping with the hotel standard being a self service buffet. I much prefer a menu.

Loved the location and had the option to park🚘 in a nearby car park, which hotel staff kindly organised extra time after we checked out so we could spend the afternoon in Windsor before returning home. Lovely view👀 from window🪟 of the Castle🏰. Breakfast 🍞🥓🍳🍄‍🟫🍅🥚🥞🥐🫖☕️☕️was good and in a lovely room to view🪟 the river 🦢🦢🦆🦆 while eating. Nice to also have an outside space🪴🪻🌷 to enjoy a drink🍸🥂🥃 overlooking the river🦢🦆🛥 and watch the sun🌅 go down. All the staff were very friendly 😀 The only thing is that if you're on a higher floor room and not good with stairs, would check with hotel, we were fine but know a relative would have not been able to manage the stairs if we had taken her. But I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Windsor.

Just add a few more milks and Tea & coffee bits in tray would have been better in room, but I asked, and we were supplied with.

The breakfast room was well staffed. Food choices were wonderful. I noted that staff checked temperatures of food, which is an important food handling method that is too often skipped. We loved the view from the breakfast room. The location was perfect. We enjoyed walking on both the Eton and Windsor sides. Sweet neighborhoods, lots of restaurants and interesting shops. Fabulous views.

Having an elevator would have been nice. We were exhausted from two weeks of travel and had to awkwardly lug our suitcases down the steps for checkout.

The room was lovely, the food was good and the price was very reasonable

The staff at breakfast didn’t have a clue, we had been shown to our table ordered the coffee once it arrived we went up to get our breakfasts, only to come back and find our table had been cleared and another couple had been shown to the same table by the same person! When I asked how this had happened he didn’t even say sorry! But walked off and showed the next couple to a table while my wife and I had been left standing in the middle of the restaurant holding our toast and cereal! Not acceptable at all, asked for the manager but no one came, then another waiter came along and helped with us getting another table. Very poor customer service, this really spoilt the start of the day.

Very comfy room and bed, excellent walk in shower. we were in Windsor House , well presented safe access outside, clean walkways and directions clear. All fine if there are no mobility problems, and weather dry.

The tea , coffee, biscuit and milk supply had not been checked , eg only 2 tea bags etc. available in room. When booking we were not advised that we would be in Windsor House and that there was a walk outside to get to the room, this may have been a problem if we had mobility problems at the time. we also presume that in inclement weather assistance and umbrellas would be available.

I received so much information before I arrived - dos and don’ts, fines for this and that, a walk to a car park, extra if I didn’t check out on time- then the hotel’s in a pedestrian precinct, so I was a nervous wreck when I arrived. I needn’t have worried as the excellent staff sorted everything and within ten minutes I was sitting on the bed in a lovely room breathing huge sighs of relief. From then on until we they couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was delicious, eating our breakfast looking at the river was a treat. Many thanks to everyone who made our stay so comfortable.

I think you put people off by sending so many rules etc before hand and I think there could be a sign on the road indicating that the hotel is in a pedestrian precinct - I drove past it twice!

Very happy with our stay. Had a ground floor room as promised with walk in shower. Car parking was available as booked just 5 mins walk form the hotel. Was able to unload cases infront of the hotel and staff were on hand to take our cases to our room, Room was adequate and comfortable. There was a safe but it was at floor level in the wardrobe so not practical for us to use. There were plenty of staff so service was good and all were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and room were air conditioned. The food and service was good with views across the river. We also enjoyed the outdoor terrace overlooking the river. There were also a couple of comforatable lounges for relaxing. Room and restaurant were air conditioned All in all a very pleasant stay, plus the hotel is very close to the river, town centre, castle, boat trips, park and theatre

Safe was at floor level in the wardrobe which wasn't practical for us.

The hotel was lovely. The dining room had an amazing view of the river .it was busy but not do busy you had space to sit somewhere without it being busy .

We didn't like that we had to move the kettle to the bedside table to boil it .also, the smoke detector kept flashing. We know it's a safety thing, but it's very annoying all night .also, we didn't know how to turn the bedside lamps on .we thought it was the switch on the wall, but that did the lights on the ceiling. We finally managed to work it out .but it wasn't easy. You had to be lying down on the bed to see the switch

The staff at reception and breakfast time were so welcoming and kind. Nothing was to much trouble and they are very good at what they do. For example, the car park in the railway station was over booked on the Saturday due to a systems error. A lady from reception was so kind to help to pay for the Ringo parking in a public space on her own phone to cover my car parking. The hotel itself is in the most perfect and beautiful space to explore Windsor and surroundings. Breakfast overlooking the river and everything on your doorstep. I was there for two days racing at Ascot and it is only 15 minutes by car. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, perfect location.

Great location: right on the Thames with beautiful views, close to Windsor Castle and other attractions. Comfy rooms (though some might be a bit dated) and very clean. Excellent breakfast and friendly service from some of the staff.

Rooms can be pricey, and some guests might find the decor outdated. Parking can be expensive, and the wifi might not be the strongest. Overall, if you're looking for a charming hotel in a fantastic location with great views, the Sir Christopher Wren could be a good option. Just be prepared for potentially uneven service and slightly dated rooms.
