Great location, nice hotel staff, comfort and cozy hotel. We celebrated the New Year at this hotel, it was nice to wake up in a room overlooking the ocean 🌊😊

But…We were very upset by the quality of the hotel restaurant, the worst thing was that on our first dinner here, when ordering a children's menu, we got a sharp piece of something in the ice cream. We still remember this as a bad dream; by a lucky chance, I got this fragment, not our child. The manager, of course, responded to our remark (although they did not even excluded the children's menu from the bill), but this should not happen in the restaurant of a five-star hotel. Therefore we do not recommend the hotel restaurant

The hotel is perfectly situated near the beach, shopping and restaurants yet it’s tucked away on the street making it a peaceful serene retreat. The pool area is inviting and overlooks the ocean with breathtaking views of the sunrise. The breakfast has a generous selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts, cheese and cold cuts. Grilled vegetable stacks and mini quiches were tasty. Fresh juice were placed on the table once seated and egg dishes/coffee can be ordered. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms were confortable and very clean. They provided bottled water and port (which was delicious) in our room. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday.

There was an electrical outage in town a few times and it affected the electricity and water in the hotel. The management needed to notify the guests about the outage and its return.

The location is perfect, right on the beachfront, the staff are first class and the food is excellent. The parking is tight but simply turn up, hand over your keys and the excellent front of house deal with everything - that's a great touch, particularly for visitors who don't know the local area. The suite we splashed out on had views over the beach and out to sea and was spectacular. The restaurant staff are extremely knowledgeable and take time to explain the dishes and wine recommendations. The hotel is spotlessly clean and richly decorated. It is a genuine 5 star hotel. Good luck with the Michelin star bid and we hope the young lady checking us in at breakfast each morning had a healthy baby boy. Thank you. We will stay here again.

If you could arrange for 22 degrees and sunshine every day in January next time, that would be great. ;-)

It has defo feel of 5 star place! Gorgeous views and the breakfast was fab. The interior of the whole hotel is super classy and the rooms beautifully designed. Plenty of towels for you, toiletries, slippers and bathrobes, just like it should be in a 5 star place.

We asked for upgrade to sea view room but didnt get it even it was off season and they wanted extra £60 per night which i thought was a lot. Also we booked this hotel specifically for the heated pool as it says it has all year round heated pool but when we arrived they said its not heated! Felt a bit deflated as i wanted my daughter to have a bit of fun in the pool so an upgrade would have been nice but no luck then.

Lovely traditional hotel in great location overlooking the beach and the sea. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent breakfast choices and lovely terrace for a drink or meal. Very attentive staff. We did not use the pool as it’s was late October but great to sit by the pool and enjoy the view. Cascais is a great choice to stay and visit Lisbon by train. Fabulous to come out of the busy city to such a lovely location and hotel.

Two times in our bathroom we couldn’t get hot water. Other times it was fine. Otherwise we loved the hotel.

Everything was wonderful, service, friendliness, views, amazing food, to be highly recommended. Ample size room although bathroom was a touch on the small size. The use of a basket to carry a towel to the pool or beach was a lovely touch and one of a quality/size that I would most certainly buy. Head and shoulders above all however, was the restaurant with it's superb views. The food and wine selection was perfect, the staff took time to run through it all and everything was cooked to absolute perfection, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

This is the most expensive hotel I've ever paid for. I needed luxury, and The Albatroz Hotel is WOW. The location of this wonderful hotel is just amazing. You live on the beach. The room was perfect. I got this warm feeling when I entered it. Good size (private) balcony with seaview. The reception staff was really friendly and service- minded. I thought maybe they would feel too "posh" for me. But at The Albatroz Hotel, all customers are welcomed with smiles and service. I must also give the kitchen staff a huge kiss. The food was amazing. The breakfast was the best I've ever tasted. Everything about The Albatroz was beyond expectations.

The location is perfect, oceanfront! You can walk to local restaurants, shops and the marina. The train station is a few meters away. The hotel staff are wonderful and happy to ensure you have an amazing experience. The room is a nice size and very comfortable with all the necessities. I could near the ocean waves from my terrace. The breakfast service is overlooking the ocean and beach and there is a good selection to choose from.

I liked everything.

We have visited Cascais on many occasions but not stayed at the Abatroz, we decided to correct that on this trip. The location and views across the ocean from the dining room are spectacular. If we had one disappointment it was that not all facilities were open, but then it is off season and that was to be somewhat expected, it did not really impact our enjoyment in any way. The room was comfortable and well proportioned, I read that some people have complained about the showers being too small, but TBH that did not bother us, after all it is not a big modern hotel and the water pressure made up for the lack of space in the shower itself. Breakfast was very good, more than enough selection to fill us up for a day exploring Cascais and the surrounding area. I would not hesitate to book again.

There are two taps on the wall of the bathroom just next to the door that I mistook for decorative towel hooks, this switched off the cold water to the shower and it took me some time to work out what had happened. Luckily my wife was not using it at the time. A note would be handy to warn guests (Room 211)

Flawless! Location is perfect in the centre of Cascais, right next to the train station and easy to drive to from Lisbon with free parking on site. The staff were incredible - welcoming, friendly, attentive, helpful with recommendations. The hotel is small but the facilities are incredible, even including a small gym and terrace for yoga in the mornings. The pool was the perfect spot to relax, a complete oasis in the centre of Cascais. Breakfast was outstanding. Love it and would 10000% recommend.
