September 2024

Spacious comfortable clean room in Cascais. Staff were friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags after check out. Location was great - slightly out of the main historic centre but walkable to everything you need. There was a farmer's market nearby which is worth a look and Minipreço for supplies. Easy walk to bus and train station.

It was a bit pricier than we wanted to pay but it was the best value option remaining at the time of booking. I suspect Cascais is just expensive, which is not the fault of the establishment. There was a slight smell of drains, which seems to be pretty common in Portugal. Would have loved a kettle in the room, but knew this wasn't the case when booking - the description of the room was accurate.

It’s location is perfect. Short walk to center of downtown and close to the market. The room was very clean and comfortable and the backyard seating area added to the value. We lucked out and got one of the limited parking spots. Make sure you are driving a small car. Getting in and out of the property is a bit tight The staff were all pleasant to work with and very willing to let us leave our car before checkin. You won’t need to drive once you’re here—everything is a very short walk

Nothing really. We had a garden room and there were a couple of steps up to the toilet and shower. But there was a railing and the bathroom was spotless

Shame about the building works across the road that started at 8am on the dot. Not so bad in the bungalows but terrible in the main building. Prime location and qm walk from the market, Wednesdays has Food and Textiles and Saturdays Food

Just some little things to make things perfect liike somewhere to hold bathroom items in the shower, after room has been cleaned the cleaners not to leave the air conditioning on at 13⁰C!! Was freezing when we returned

Really Excellent location. Very comfortable beds and very clean. All the staff were very helpful too Highly recommend

Unfortunately there is major construction happening next door that seems like it's going to continue for atleast another 6 to 10 months so it causes a constant banging sound in the rooms of the guest house. We would have appreciated to have 2 coffee mugs (not the small espresso ones) in the room

The location really is superb. 5min walk to beach and central area to head to marina/port side or other direction to Estoril. Quirky design features where art deco meets modern. Reminded us of eastern suburbs of Sydney (random!) when you look out over garden. Good to have the green outlook and garden too. Can’t comment over front facing rooms… Size of room was good for couple + 1 child and with the aircon, coffee maker and fridge all good. Really great effort made when they refresh and clean room every other day. Which is ideal as some places leave too many days still between cleans after Covid and so the village has service level right. Lots of bedding top layers to chose preference between(great for those who don’t always want a duvet), but pillows not ideal (see below). Staff are definitely a top feature as super friendly and want to help. We needed help with getting a notary signature and letter printing which they were only too happy to help with. Also had issues with a charging cable and plug which they offered solutions and alternatives for us. Use of WhatsApp also great to overcome language limitations, so felt very looked after.

Simple things that would be pretty easy to change! Whilst provided a couple of different pillows, nothing firm or that long so not ideal for neck and comfort. More hooks up in bathroom and along the blank wall in our room would be really useful and make better use of space. Otherwise there can be a lot cramped into one area. The fridge isn’t ideal to have switched on over night as too noisy, but not really an issue. As I say, little things for comfort and wouldn’t detract from recommending.

The lovely Brazilian guy on reception could teach many posh hotel receptionists how to operate. Free parking, 400 metres away from the main streets. We liked the garden style rooms, very nice linen and lovely sitting areas immediately outside in th garden.

It is one of the cheaper hotels in Cascais, só no major complaints. They obviously battle with dampness so our room has a few mouldy patches and the steps within the bathroom were a little challenging. It's nice though, I would stay again

Modern, clean and very spacious room, furnished with a huge Queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds, which was perfect for our family of three. Friendly and welcoming hosts and extremely convenient location. Close to town centre on foot, including supermarkets, restaurants and the beaches. Boca do Inferno is about 20 minutes on foot. The train station and bus terminal are also within walking distance.

Traffic noise could be an issue for light sleepers as the room we stayed in was on a busy main road. Would have liked a small hot plate in the room to be able to make tea or simple meals.

Excellent location, just 10 mins walking to ocean, marina, fortress. Personnel allowed our group to check in after default late time (around 23:30 vs 22:00 default). The guys found my lost things in the room after my checkout and were so kind to write to my WhatsApp about that. So definitely can estimate the personnel as 12/10. BBQ zone was super good to sit half of the night with vine and talks :)

Conditioner blowing to your face while you're sleeping is not the best possible solution. Replacing it to opposite wall could be much better IMHO.

Location, super helpful staff Marcus was amazing

Not very well equipped, for a guest house I would have expected at least a common area or access to kitchen area, I had to ask for everything. No terrace area but a courtyard from the room w no door to exit ? Strange layout.

The room was super cute and spacious. Great location and private parking.

All was well, except for a weird smell that emanated from the bathroom after taking a shower or running water. Not sure if it was backed-up sewage or the water smelled bad. We had to shut the door in the bathroom after taking a shower or brushing our teeth in the sink.
