I stayed here during Miami Art Week, a time when all the hotels on South Beach inflated their prices by almost 3 times, so this was an affordable option in a prime location. It's Collins Avenue, alongside many other hotels, and a few minutes walk from the beach. There are cafes nearby, and a CVS. Public transport to get downtown and north of the city is also closeby (across the street), and great walking distance overall to where I needed to go. The room was cleaned (and cleaned everyday), as well as the bathroom, and spacious for what it was. Fresh towels and options to change bedding also. I didn't have the hotel breakfast and ate at a local cafe every day instead, but that was only 5 minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and enough communal space.

The air conditioning in parts of the building was very high, making it very cold (I say this as someone who had just arrived in Miami from minus temperatures and snowy weather in the UK). So much so that I forgot how warm it was outside. Other guests complained about this too. The no outside food option. I understand it for the shared rooms, but for the communal space, for example, the pool terrace lounge it should have been ok, providing people dispose of trash properly. I found it inconvenient to come back after a long day, and the only option at the hotel was Hoja Taqueria, which had its menu limitations but also was very busy at times. When I did order outside food I ate it uncomfortably on the steps outside the entrance.

The location is great: from the airport you arrive easily with the bus 150, which stops in the parallel road. If you have to go to the airport, instead, the bus stop is right in front of the hostel. The ticket costs 2 dollars and 25 cents. The free bus stops in the same places. The hostel is 3 minutes away, on foot, from the beach, it's well organized, divided in hotel and hostel. Clean, safe and great service.

No kitchen no microwave neither a coffee maxhine

Literally right across the street from the beach! The place has a restaurant and cafe in the lobby. The place is very clean and comfortable and the pool was a very nice surprise! I dont often leave reviews but this place deserves it!

The room was pretty chilly. If there was a way to control the temperature in the room it would be great! But, we were still able to sleep in the cold.

-huge lockers -toilet, shower, and sink were separate -2 plug sockets and 2 usb ports near bed -staff were friendly and competent -big shower with shelf space -clean -felt modern with lovely shower and bathroom -bed was long enough, im 5"11 -beautiful lobby -on the beach -bus stops nearby -lots of natural light in the room -full length mirror -place for you to put items within your bed space

these are quite nit picky because there wasnt any big issues -not enough space to sit upright in the bed -mattress was a bit hard for me -not enough sink space - a bit niche but wouldn't recommend if youre going to rolling loud, it takes 2-3hrs to get there with public transport -the shower at times was quite loud

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the receptionist, but he was amazing and recommended a Cuban restaurant in Little Havana that turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip!

The room was comfortable, though the noise insulation wasn’t the best—it’s easy to hear sounds from next door. But that’s pretty standard for a hostel and wasn’t a big issue. One area for improvement would be to have more hair dryers available. We were a group of four girls and had to share the one hair dryer, which we were told was the only one in the entire hostel. It would be great if more were provided for guests.

It’s near the beach and a bus station. Also there are some stores and cafeterias near to eat

There’s no kitchen. Could be great if there was a mini fridge in each room o a fridge to share with

Location is priceless! You can walk to the beach a block away and the beach is so calm that is like a pool.. and if you want to chill can still get in the inner pool and relax. Have several areas for coworking spaces that just find a spot and be there, the wifi is very strong and can have all the online meetings you want and go back to the pool to keep resting. We are across the RIU hotel and I took some tours there and they pick me up without problems and the trolley that is free pass also in front of the hotel, so have free transportation back to the hotel if you are tired of walking.

There were some people kind of crazy that make a lot of noise one day. But I stay several days without any problems and crazy people you can find anywhere in the world. So it was not that bad..but can be handle better in the future to maybe ask the people that doesn't behave well to leave.

I had a fantastic stay at the Generator Hotel in Miami Beach. The location is excellent, just a minute away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood, yet still within walking distance or a short bus ride to the lively Ocean Drive area. The staff, especially the receptionists, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully designed with a minimalist aesthetic, and they were always clean. I particularly appreciated having a mini fridge in the room, which added to the convenience. Overall, this hotel offers great value for the price.

The spring mechanism of the body wash dispenser in my room was broken. Although this was a minor issue, as I could still use it by manually pulling the nozzle, it did detract slightly from the otherwise excellent experience. However, this small inconvenience did not significantly impact my overall satisfaction with the stay.

One of the most important aspects for me in a hostel is its location and here Generator Miami is quite good. You are going to be on the beach in a 5 minutes walk. You will have easy access to buses, coffee place (Starbucks), supermarket and some restaurants just around. Staff was always very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious. The common areas are quite nice decorated, pool are is quite nice as well. I was lucky enough to get good prices but I recommend booking with some advance. Access to airport is quite easy.

The room I was had a problem with a clogged toilet but this was solved promptly. The building has 7 floors and the elevator is quite busy, there was an issue with the elevator one the days during my stay. These were all small things and when visiting Miami in a next opportunity I would definitely stay with them again.
