Very happy with our stay! I was looking for affordable quality accommodations for my son and me on our weekend visit to Monterey. The room was generously sized, had daily cleaning, and a convenient latte machine was in the lobby. I also used the gym room which was small but had new equipment- was a nice feature for a budget hotel. We walked to a nearby Chinese restaurant for dinner one night and to a Denny's the next (my little one is 3 and wanted pancakes), which were both convenient. Easy to drive/bus into downtown Monterey to visit sights and aquarium.

Nothing, met expectations, great for the price

Staff was very friendly. We only used the hotel to sleep and it was okay but, if you can, choose a room in the 2nd floor to avoid noise from above.

Staff is really kind and nice. They helped us quite a lot. We had a lower, entrance level room and it was really convenient to be able to park right in front of the door. The rooms have microwave, coffee machine and fridge, this was also very convenient.

The bathrooms are outdated and need a makeover. They are kind of far away from the heating system of the room and they do not have their own heating. When we were in Monterey, the weather was really cold, and it was not possible to use the shower for the little children because it was really cold in there. It also takes ages for the water to heat up. In summer, this may not be an issue.

The room was very clean and the heater and fridge were both quiet, of course the heater could be heard but it was not loud and it did not wake us in the night:):)

All good!!!:)....except the curtains hang over the air vent on the AC/Heater so we had to fold it up on the top of the window sill and wrap it around the door handle to keep it out of the way so the air would circulate better in the room. Other than that, it was an awesome room:)

Room was extremely up to date and clean. Very roomy! Nice TV. Plenty of parking. Loved the heated salt water pool. Made my skin so soft! No chlorine smell. Extremely well taken care of. Plenty of seating.

Location was easy once we got around a bit. No problem getting on hwy 1. The airplane flight path is over the hotel. We heard and saw the airplanes while in the pool, but never heard them from our room. But, just in case, the room had two sets of new wrapped ear plugs. Lol

It's basically a Motel right by the airport, but it must have been recently remodeled and offered the best value for money on our entire trip. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, room had a coffee maker, small microwave and fridge which I appreciated. Parked for free right outside our room.

Thin walls and airport noise first thing in the morning, but we had an early start, so it really wasn't an issue.

Very comfortable hotel for the one night we stay there. The welcoming from Nahomi from the front desk was especially good, she made the check in process easy and very pleasant, she make us feel very welcomed … the hotel offer coffee as a complementary service and that was a hit for us.

We stay at first floor and the room was very good, clean and very comfortable. The only thing was we hear all the steps and noise from the second floor. Not to bad but it could be better.

A perfect location for events at the Monterey Fairground! Right across from the festival we went to! Also a quick run or walk down to the Bay and bike/run/walk trail. An extra big plus: the front desk staff! The reception host was amazing and just a generally wonderful person! While the hotel/motel is not a five star spot by any means (it’s all about the convenient location), her hospitality and friendly vibe made our stay extra special and all the better!

The price was a bit steep due to event pricing. It’s an older motel spot and even though it’s a Wyndham property, no amount of cool paintings or flat screen TVs could really give it a contemporary feel. Again, the location was everything (and the great staff…who even called us to see if we’d get there before the front desk closed at 11pm).

The reception staff was friendly. We appreciated the extended check in time. The room was clean. The location was convenient to what we were in town for. Ample parking.

The beds are great but a little too firm for those liking soft beds. Not really a negative :) The hot water in the morning wasn't really very hot, warm is a better term. But neither of these would stop us from coming back.

No breakfast but coffee and danish were a great touch! The room was clean, and when we asked for clean towels, housekeeping brought them right away. The staff were so nice, that I had to give them an overall 'Excellent" because they were so courteous, kind, and knowledeable!

We stayed in the Special needs room (221?) and the bed was very uncomfortable for me because I have Osteoporosis and herniated discs on my back, so the first night I had to sleep on the opposite direction, with my feet where my head should've been. The next night, I got up in the middle of the night with such a backache that I slept on the floor for 2 1/2 hours. The bathroom light and fan were on the same switch and was very loud when we woke up during the night to use the bathroom. There should be separate switches for the fan and lights. Also, there were no counters around the sink so we had to put our toiletries on the floor.
