We stayed here in mid November 2024 after searching Google Maps for cheap B&B accommodation. We came to Orange Inn with low expectations but were amazed to find a sparkling, almost-new, modern hotel with (I think) five or six rooms. Our room (Falcon) was fully outfitted, and even had a safe in the closet. In most places we stayed, we couldn't get the TV to work but here, the TV not only worked but included a good selection of global channels (so most overseas visitors can keep up to date with events back home). The staff (a manager and two girls) couldn't be faulted for their friendly approach and helpfulness, and I'd like to give Rose a mention in particular — her warm smile and gentle humour made us feel welcome immediately. Breakfast was excellent, and with a wide variety. I recommend the omelette, while my wife was delighted to be offered poached eggs. Well done, girls! You looked after us beautifully and we were sorry to have to move on.

Staff was very courteous. Maria is a sweetheart and greets you with such warm energy that you instantly feel at ease. She also went out of her way to allow us to keep our bags safe post checkout when we wanted to roam around town. The breakfast was fantastic. South Africa's best bacon is served here :) The room had all the amenities one can expect, along with a spacious balcony with a splendid view. The location is superb - just 8-10 min away from Thesen, Leisure, East Heads and so on.

Not much to complain about actually. Maybe the size of the room could have been a little bigger (the bathroom is pretty big though, so bathroom lovers won't have anything to complain about)

Our reception was warm and caring, friendly and considerate. The manager and staff bent over backwards to attend to us. The GH was clean, beautiful, everything wonderfully and thoughtfully planned. Had a cooked breakfast every morning loadshedding notwithstanding!!! So happy we managed to book here. Great people!! Thank you so much

There was another , a female guest there who was very vocal about her hot water not being hot when she took a bath. But ours were so hot, you couldnt believe it and we share a geyser.... but hey. Somw people will complain about anything, even if everything is perfect. And it was a perfect pick, believe me. What bothered me was that she didn't care that everyone could hear her shouting.

We visited in June 2023 and Maria was more than helpful in making sure our 1-night stay was comfortable. The rooms were decent and comfortable though not the biggest for a double and the air conditioning unit seemed to have a mind of its own and didn't warm up quickly. They have a lovely "Orange" theme to rooms with great wall art of birds - each room is uniquely styled and named e.g., Owl, Eagle etc which was a nice personal touch. A huge wrap around balcony too. Breakfast was great and made to order and plenty. There is also a lounge area with a couple of sofas and TV to relax. The hotel was comfortable and for the price, very reasonable as we just wanted a stopover driving the garden route. The location was good, free parking in a small secure car park but just watch the steep slope down if you have a heavy carload like we did and can scrape the bottom of car - unload before! Only other slight issue was that the payment methods seemed not to work and couldn't easily pay on card - may have been a network / internet issue but tried of different days. Luckily we had cash to pay but Maria was very apologetic and wasn't fussed we tried to pay the next morning. Maria was extremely helpful and recommended places to eat in Knysna - go to Drydock with amazing seafood and service. Overall, a very comfortable and reasonably priced hotel with away from Knysna main town.

Room was a little cold as air conditioning unit didn't seem to heat the room (Winter) quickly and maintain a good temperature. Payment on card seemed to be problematic but could have been a one off or due to weather / connectivity.

the staff very friendly and the best breakfast i can remember. enjoyed talking to everyone and the place tucked away in a beautiful scenary. Everyone friendly staff and guests breakfast has a nice (lekker) selection of choices (fresh fruit salad, juices, coffee from and didn't know about the hot meal with eggs prepared your way, mushrooms oh so so good, bacon, toast and a friendly smile) also the property has a strong gate and feel very secure

The reception was efficient in allocating rooms to the 12 of us. The rooms were super clean and beds were very comfortable. Bkf was superb, huge portions of hot foods with fruit, cold cuts, cheese and cereal buffet. Coffee was nice too. Staff were lovely and cheery. Totally recommended.

The driveway is on a steep slope, but not an issue for our 3 cars.

As the Orange Inn was cheaper than the other places we had stayed on the trip I was a little apprehensive. However I was very impressed with everything. The attention to detail in the decor eg diffuser and tissues in the bathroom was amazing. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess was really welcoming. Definitely the best value for money on our whole trip. Highly recommended.

My only complain was that the shower water didn't get hot even after I had left it to run for ages.

From when we arrived, we had a well welcome from the host who was also the manager on site and our breakfast cook. She was very friendly and gave us full tour of the place as well as insight. We got an amazing room with a view and were quite happy with the place. Even though there was load shedding, they made sure we were informed ahead of time and the room also had an emergency lamp that worked just fine. Room amenities were splendid and they were as much there as they were in the sense that we didnt really feel we were living in a hotel but our own little place.

We had a wonderful stsy for 2 nights. The staff were kind and very, pleasnt. Very secure and quiet. After we left I reslised we should have written in their c3vomments book, so i hope they get to see this. thank you for a lovely, comfortable stay.

The front parking was a bit tricky to negotiate.

The service was amazing 👏 🙌🏽. Made a mistake with my booking, but the lady Anja, I think she is the owner, she was extremely helpful with getting my booking sorted. Also, the lady at reception as well and the ladies who served our breakfast 10/10🤗👏👏👏had an excellent stay, and I hope to be back soon ❤️💪🙌🏽

Somehow, the lights were tripping for the first 5-10 minutes after settling into my room, but it was quickly sorted 👌👏
