Location and friendliness of all the staff is always very good. We are regular users as our daughter lives locally. Any requests we make are always responded to with help, like requesting a ground floor no stairs due to mobility issues or tweaking dates etc.

I cannot,t say we didn't,t like but we notice that the place is looking tired and in need of some tlc. We were in 104, the sink unit it loose at the front where the towel rail attaches and the first bed is like sleeping in a hole needs a new mattress I think, the seats in the restaurant are all badly stained and the morning buffet isn't as nice as the freshly prepped breakfasts. These are little niggles that could be put right easily with a little care but we have been staying for 5 years now and no real improvements have been done. Such a shame to let it go down.

Breakfast was lovely and it was a buffet so we could help ourselves so even better. Staff were very friendly, especially the young girl with long hair, on the front desk, she was always happy to see you and was very helpful. She always has a smile on her face.

The pool looked like it needed a little clean. But a great swim was had by us. Fire alarm went off at appox 11pm so we all had to get out of the building. Lots of cold sleepy children that could of been given a blanket to keep them warm. Also we were given no explanation why it had gone off and no apology or even asked if we all ok at breakfast the following morning. Staff should of shown more care.

Average experience made 10 times better by the night porter - Tom. Would now definitely stay again.

Facilities very dated, could do with a refresher.

We stayed in February, We had a large, comfortable room with a balcony 😌 which is very pleasant. Staff happy and helpful. The pool is pleasant and very warm. Also, the sauna is a great asset. The small gifts in the room are a perfect touch. We had Marwell hotel ducks, I also phoned ahead and arranged birthday helium balloons to be added to our room, and they also left a birthday card ( lovely personal touch for a small fee of £2.50. The views are beautiful around the hotel, all wooded areas with fish ponds and walkways, and all you hear is bird song in the morning. The staff are all very young but extremely knowledgeable and well Manored so well done to them all, nothing was too difficult or a chore for them. The breakfast was fine a self-service selection of continental and full cooked breakfast 😋 I'm GF and it wasn't an issue. We only waited 2 or 3 minutes to be seated despite a queue. We will definitely be returning.

The only one small issue was the floor around the pool. It gets incredibly slippery as tiled, and they really need a non-slip floor or more mats to make it safer. ( bed was slightly hard but that's personal taste I guess. No big issues

Liked the location, room was spacious. Liked the sliding door so you can have some fresh air and you didn’t have windows opposite so you can have some privacy with the door open.

Room could do with some real decorating. Looked like it’s been touched up several times and not actually fully decorated. Bathroom could do with some new silicone on the bath as was mouldy. Main problem was the noise from other rooms, every time someone ran their water you could hear it so loudly and also flushed their chain you could hear it. When you walk into the hotel it’s so beautiful to see, then you get into the room and rooms just filthy looking. Really needs updating massively. The swimming pool needs a good clean too, there’s a scum line around the pool wasn’t the best to look at while swimming.

The reception people were friendly and attentive, explaining the details for the room, breakfast, and swimming pool. The check-in process was quick and organised and where the room was explained clearly The room was clean with all the necessary details of kettle, coffee, sugar, milk and tea bags! It had a patio door with access to the fire escape which was great to air the room in the evening and listen to the birds. There was a fan for the warm evenings. Lots of hot water for a shower with body wash and hand soap additional. The hallways around the hotel smelt divine in the morning, great housekeeping! Bed was lush could have stayed in it all day. Great commuter links for motorways and access across the road for Marwell zoo.

Staff were friendly and helpful; Location excellent (we wanted a stay near Marwell zoo and this is right on the grounds so we could park in the hotel car park and walk straight across to the zoo entrance!); the setting was nice among the trees; We liked that it had a bar and restaurant and swimming pool (though we didn't use the pool as we anticipated); We liked that we could book a family room to fit 2 children and 2 adults comfortably

The rooms are looking a bit tired and could do with a facelift (holes in / damaged bathroom door and surfaces); no hairdryer; no hot chocolate sachets in the room for the kids whilst we had tea and coffee;

the only (and I mean only) thing I would suggest would be a bit of carpet and upholstery cleaning in the bar and dining room.

We recently chose this wonderful hotel for a family getaway, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional service and the overall ambiance of the place. Our room was nothing short of excellent, featuring beautiful views that added a special touch to our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our trip was being able to take our children for a swim. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, providing a perfect spot for relaxation and fun. We stayed overnight after a day trip to Paultons park we had a lovely meal when we arrived the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful with having young children they bought activity pack for them to be entertained, it was my little boys birthday and they were happy to serve our cake we had bought and decorated a slate with cake and garnish, the food was really nice and the burger was great quality. Rooms clean and comfortable with TV and tea and coffee facilities and also had a fan. The swimming pool was a lovely extra they provided towels and it is open until 9pm & nice and warm
