Beds very comfortable. Staff & hotel very nice. Hotel quiet

Pillows awful. The breakfast is below standard for a four star hotel. The hot food was cold, as was the coffee. There are no labels in English or any other language other than Spanish to explain what the breakfast foods are.

It was clean and tidy and looked new.

Nothing that springs to mind. A really nice hotel. Just one thing though.! There is an 7nderground car park for the hotel, which is accessed via a road at the back of the hotel. It would be helpful that anyone driving a car to the hotel, could be provided with a map to the car park, on the e mail confirming the booking. It’s difficult to find and confusing when trying to find the place, in the midst of heavy traffic. Just a thought, but a pertinent point. I think so,nanyway.

We have stayed here several times and the location is good and only 15-20 minutes from the ferry. Hotel is clean and staff helpful.

Disappointed that we were unable to eat at the hotel as they had several large events with big groups dining. We were unaware of this in advance and as it was a Monday evening most local restaurants as recommended by the helpful receptionist were closed. We ended up having a McD’s as we needed something to eat. Had we been aware that we would not be able to eat at the hotel I would have booked a different hotel.

the hotel is good for overnight stay…we have stayed 3 nights and prefered to stay rather in city center to discover Bilbao

- the hotel is a bit far from city center (15 min by car) and nothing to see around (only outlets/ikea/etc), there is no bars or restaurants around (only McDonalds) - the cost of breakfast is 15!€ if you book at arrival and 18! if you want to take it the same day…even though the breakfast is good (large variety of hot dishes) it is not worth 18€ - the pool is very small and the water is very COLD (even my daughter didn’t wanted to swim there) and they have only 8 transats for all guests…impossible to get one… - there are some places for parking around the hotel but the neighborhood is not secure so we took the hotel parking for 15€/night - the balthroom is a bit outdated, yellow plastic and scratched mirrors…maybe think to change the curtains (stains), pillows are not comfortable

First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful! Sitting by the pool was also lovely, and the staff were fantastic. I had some unexpected business that came up, and they were able to print some documents for me without a problem. The room was comfortable and the bathroom had a bathtub and shower which was appreciated. The room was cleaned dutifully daily, and the bed was very comfortable. The 10 minute walk to transit in the morning was beautiful and felt safe, and the nearby shops were great for purchasing our own breakfast foods (hotel breakfast looked costly). We wanted to spend most of our time in Bilbao, and we did not feel like we missed out by staying in Barakaldo thanks to the metro proximity.

Would have enjoyed being a little closer to the metro line, but was not a real problem.

Great room. Excellent food (ate breakfast and evening meals). Only a short walk to the metro station and easy access to the Centre of Bilbao. Good communication by email before we arrived.

No coffee facility in the room. Aircon was lacking. Chairs in the bar area could have been more comfortable. A map of how to get to the hotel parking (which we got after going in to ask) would have been very helpful as an attachment in one of the emails we received.

The pool was the main attraction for us, unfortunately the weather was not very good, but in between rain showers we were able to lie and sunbathe for a while. The staff were very friendly and generally the layout of the hotel was pleasing. Upstairs the rooms were quite functional and up to expectations.

The rooms need updating, the decor just looked a bit tired and shabby, with odd marks on the walls and furniture. The bath tub was a nice size though, please don't get rid of them and install only showers. English people LOVE having a bath!

A lovely hotel with all the amenities exactly as described, staff were pleasant and helpful. Good facilities for families. It's a bit away from Bilbao proper, and as there isn't a lot in the area food and entertainment wise, we ended up getting uber or buses to and from the hotel.

Despite arriving very late, 2am, (we had previously called the hotel to advise them) everything went very smoothly. We arrived directly by the private parking located under the hotel (14 euros for the night but worth it to know that the car stays in an enclosed locked space) and we were doing the check-in at the reception just a few minutes later. It's perfect for using the Bilbao line ferries, as it's a 15 minutes / 15 kms journey by car from the hotel to the ferries. The bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with a good variety of the usual dried cereal type or freshly cooked food (sausages, eggs, bacons, etc)

Very helpful reception staff. Good-sized room with lovely ensuite, comfortable bed and blackout curtains. Restaurant food very good and reasonably priced as were drinks.

Finding route to front door and subsequently to car parking was convoluted. Location is in massive new suburb, amongst typical out-of-town shopping centres; not convenient for city centre but good access to ferry port.
