Characterful building. Nice decor. Great location (short walk from St Leonards Warrior Square station), great sea view.

Perfect spot on the seafront. Lovely decor in the bedroom and a large very comfy bed.

Breakfast was part of the deal however the only spot available was 8:30, and on a Sunday that’s too early. the reason given was that the restaurant is open to the public from 9am and the cereals had to be put away. Maybe a way round this is to serve the same menu to the public and the residents? Even if there were stipulations on the menu as to what we could have included in our rate. With check out at 11am, 8:30am was far too early and a little unfair on residents. This was the only fault. The staff were very welcoming and we will stay again. The hotel is a lovely base for a stay in St Leonard’s.

Absolutely lovely room, had a lovely warm welcoming along with a valentines cocktail when we arrived. Room was spotless with the most stunning views across the sea we watched the sun rise the following morning. Added touch to the room for our valentines getaway was a bottle of prosecco with heart biscuits and rose petals. Breakfast was really nice also. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Only down side was the parking, we had to drive around for about 15 minutes to find a car space on the road that we could leave the car overnight.

The bed was really comfortable, room was very clean and breakfast was really good. Everyone was really nice. Overall it is a lovely place to spend a night

Window wooden framen was quite old and do need a change since it didn't close properly. Guess not an issue in summer but it was quite cold outside. It got sorted by having the heating on all night. It can also get a bit noisy outside but there will be free earplugs in your room, I didn't have to use them though.

The staff were brilliant from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Very friendly and helpful. We had a sea view room, which was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a globetrotter theme. There were antique looking suitcases and a table which was shaped as a map of Africa, with the names of the countries carved into it. We were a couple of floors up and are relatively fit and healthy, so there appearing to be no lift was no problem for us. Neither was the previously reported street noise. We've stayed in several seafront hotels in Hastings and other seaside towns. The noise from police sirens and from revellers passing by, was no different to any of those other hotels and towns. Breakfast was good and free parking was easy to find and very close by. I cannot complain about anything. Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome!

Love the large and bright room with good heating, comfortable large bed with nice pillows. The bathroom is quirky as it was designed like it was a bank vault. The period furniture fits well with the era of the building. We had no problem finding free parking. Adequate breakfast. Unlike others who reported the place being noisy and earplugs were supplied, we enjoyed 3 lovely quiet nights.

Having to walk up 3 flights of stairs.

The breakfast is ok. You get to choose from a couple of options with is a wider menu you can pay extra for. The staff were very helpful. The location is great for the beach, The beds were also comfortable and our room clean.

We stayed in room 13 and the shower wasn't great...the first morning the water stopped completely and the following 2 mornings the pressure was terrible. The hotel needs a little tlc in places, some fairly strange decor.

Location fantastic. Beautiful room with great view of the beach. It was big and the shower room a good size. lovely shower. Nice things very good room information and a alert bell if we needed any thing out of service hours. Nice toiletries and a box of tissues. Breakfast, In a lovely room called the Ballroom,which also had a sitting area to watch morning TV. Breakfast service good and enjoyed the English cooked breakfast. the room is also used for cinema nights.

Lovely room was noisey and hot. Fan was supplied for heat. Room was next to the kitchen and breakfast room so some noise but that meant we got up early(early morning sea wlk for me) Would have have liked two keys as the room as the room would not latched. Bathroom need shelf for toothbrushes.

Location was perfect.

The bed was uncomfortable too soft, very old and shower ”box” was in the room. We did not get sea view room even though the hotel was not full. We had early train to catch next morning at 8 o’clock, so we didn’t get any breakfast as it was too early, the kitchen only opens at 8 o’clock. Although we were promised to have at least cappuccino’s and croissant’s…😞

Our room had a fabulous view to the sea with lovely big windows. We didn't need to close the blinds...you could lie in bed and look out at the sky...beautiful. The bed was big and comfortable, clean, the bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast was very good, a lovely choice of breakfast menus. We stayed one night and it was perfect location wise and price wise.

There is no lift, so not so good if you are not able to walk up flights of stairs.
