Position. The best. Near to airport and best restaurants, shopping area, and other important Boston places.

Ratio cost versus room. The room was nice but small for a family and the two beds were not super comfortable. Said that, the people and services were excellent. We did not test the restaurant but it was always looking busy. The library. The bike rental despite our late arrival made impossible to book it for the day after. They support us for the baggage’s and remained highly flexible by providing one hour more in the room. Not granted in every hotel. If they could improve a bit the beds, I guess would have been an outstanding performance.

The location was excellent! We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to visit

We had the king room with the bathroom. Was extremely small and cramped. I had no idea. Difficult for two people to maneuver around in such a small area. It was nicely decorated and very clean.

The atmosphere and setup of the hotel

Loud noise in our first room (211). Do not know how they can rent this room for such a price. Luckily the staff let us go to another room

This is my new favorite hotel in Boston! I originally booked Yotel, but my husband stayed here the week prior and highly recommended we try it together. I just found out I will have to come here twice a month with my husband, and this will now be the only place we stay! The staff was super friendly and informative, everything was so clean, and the location is unmatched. I love the renovation and the attention to detail throughout the property. Even in the bathrooms! It feels like you’re in a spa! Beautiful place.

I usually can find at least one thing I don’t like, but this was really an amazing experience!

The staff was very accommodating during our stay and we felt welcome from the minute we checked in. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. The walls are a little thin and we could hear our neighbour talking on the phone, but this didn't continue late into the night so we didn't have any issues falling asleep. While the bathroom is shared with the rest of the floor, there's around five individual stalls on each floor, and they all include a shower, a toilet and a sink, so five people can simultaneously use their individual stalls with full privacy. We saw the staff cleaning the bathrooms multiple times during our one night stay, and not only did we never have to deal with a dirty bathroom, we never had to wait in line to use them either. While I'm sure this depends on how many guests are staying on that floor, I wouldn't let the shared bathroom deter you from booking a room. You're also provided with a bag of towels, a bathrobe, and some toiletries that made trips to the bathroom much easier.

I really wish there was a cheaper and closer parking options - Boston is a parking hell. However, the hotel is close to public transportation, which makes it easier to explore the city.

I got an unexpected upgrade to an ensuite room, and I was very happy about that. But even if I'd had to use the communal bathroom, it always looked clean and uncrowded whenever I popped my head in to check. The room is tiny, even for one, as there is no table or separate chair. But if you plan to spend very little time inside the hotel, as I did, it's perfect. It was a quick 15 mins max walk into the centre, and much more cost-efficient than many other hotels in the area.

The layout of the bed is a bit weird, as it is essentially on a platform - not great if you forget that in the middle of the night!

The Revolution Hotel is in a great location - very central and walkable to most things. Some great coffee shops close by. The decor and vibe is very positive - artistic warehouse urban chic would be my description. I was a bit nervous about the 'bathroom down the hall' but this is a brilliant arrangement. It keeps prices down and the bathrooms are plentiful and spotless. The hotel keeps them clean and you can report any problems directly. The rooms are big enough and simply furnished with effective air conditioning and opening windows. There are plentiful towels available and complimentary toiletries which are of good quality. We ate at the adjoining Mexican restaurant (Cosmica), where the food was excellent and good value. Getting around in Boston is easy - walking, driving, T subway or public bikes all make it simple and cost effective. The hotel location is close to the Back Bay neighbourhood and there are great coffee shops, Trader Joes, CVS and 7-Eleven all within a couple (or three) blocks.

The hotel doesn't provide room service cleaning so if you are there for a while, the room can get a bit messy. I'm not sure whether the service is available, but it isn't provided by default. Likewise there is no breakfast provided, although there is a branch of Kohl which provides excellent coffee and cakes. Parking is relatively easy (if a bit pricey) in nearby car parks where the hotel voucher gives a discounted rate of ($30 per 24hrs). This is a set price so sometimes if you have parked for less time it can be cheaper without the voucher. Street parking close by is by meter - some of which are free on Saturday and Sunday. Be aware Boston is hot on giving parking tickets, so beware.

The hotel was great. If you are self-sufficient, than the bathroom down the hall is no different than a dorm room. The staff was consistently friendly, and cleaning. I felt really comfortable and safe here. It was very close to public transportation, restaurants, coffee. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful. We stay here on two occasions during our trip.

They had a weird rule about bringing alcohol on site. The encourage guests to purchase alcoholic drinks at the restaurant, or downstairs in the basement bar, but they were utterly expensive. $45 for two drinks. I guess that is normal for a hotel bar. It appears that there are certain regulations about hotels and alcohol, but I don't understand it. None of the rooms had a fridge either.

I really liked the concept of the hotel, although I need to caveat that I did stay in a room where my bathroom was in my room. I know that a lot of the rooms have a shared bathroom. I also liked that the hotel was located in an area that is very convenient-- a few minutes walk from Back Bay station, and tops 15 min walk from Boylston street. The staff are very accommodating and reassuring, and the overall vibe of the place is super inclusive.

My windowsills were quite dusty, but it might be because my room was facing the street. It wasn't a big issue but it definitely was an area for improvement. When I was there the co-working space was also closed indefinitely, not a big issue but would have been nice to be able to use it.

Our stay at rhe Revolution Hotel was excellent. Quirky, boutique hotel in a lovely and picturesque neighbourhood. We loved the location, walking distance to the conference we were attending but also the downtown area, Boston Common and several T stations. Some fabulous restaurants and cafes very close by as well. The bathroom "down-the-hall" may not be for everyone but they were very clea ( it seemed 24-7), we found it convenient and only had to wait to use a bathroom one morning, otherwise there was always one free and we stayed for 9 nights! Finally the front desk staff were amazingly helpful when my travelling companion lost her phone, we can't thank the front desk staff enough who helped us out and let us make phone calls from the landline.

On the whole, it was fantastic, we thought on the morning when we waited for a bathroom, just to brush our teeth, that having a small basin in the room would have been helpful. But honestly the rest of our 9 night stay it wasn't a problem.
