Hotel was in a good location making it easy to get to/from the train station and to the main sights in Florence. Staff were very good and helpful recommending various points of interest/places to eat or helping with any queries. Room was clean and housekeeping attended daily.

The only issue of note was we were unable to lock our room door from the inside. I never had concerns about the security of the hotel and access to the room was only by a card but still, I would prefer to be able to lock the door internally by myself for overnight. I was staying in a twin room with my teenage son so didn’t feel unsafe, however if I was a female on my own I wouldn’t necessarily be entirely happy with this arrangement. The staff explained it was because if there was a fire they could get everyone out which I understand and access to the room is only by card allocated to you but feel I should raise it for awareness.

The single room was more spacious than I expected; it looks smaller in the pictures. The cleanliness was great. I wasn't expecting daily cleaning, and they did a full clean. They offered a simple breakfast, which was enough for me. I could hear some guests talking while walking in the corridor, but it was quiet once you entered the room. The shower appliances were in good condition and the hot water was reliable. They don't skim on the heater, it was burning hot while I was there, they also have AC to support it. The bathroom floor accumulates water once you take a shower and it stays there. It would be nice to have a small mop or something to fix that. Not a deal breaker though.

The reception usually closes at 8pm, but they will tell you how to check in if you will arrive later than that. In my case, the hotel person contacted me in advance by whatsapp to ask me the arrival time and told me the contact to get this information, but in the end, the person at the reception kindly waited for me. The stuff who contacted me by WhatsApp also gave me a recommendation of very nice local restaurants nearby when I asked. All the staffs were very kind and friendly. They provided soap and a shower cap. There was a hair dryer, fridge, and an air conditioner, which will be a good advantage in summer.

There’s no elevator. The window was small and high up, and the switch to open it did not work, but it was fine just to take a shower and sleep for one night. The bed was clean and confortable.

This hotel is near the train station so we went on foot for 10 min. Also, all visiting places were near the hotel. it is very convenient , especially people, who decided to watch a lot of places for 2-3 days. By the way, breakfast was enough good. After breakfast we could spend some hours and don't think about food. Moreover , we had a good opportunity to shut the window with shutters from the sun and noise. By the way , all stuffs are polite:)

There are two hotels Guelfa, one of them Camilla Guelfa on this street. Don't worry if you come into to another Guelfa, like me :) There is not lift in the hotel, because the ancient building. I think it isn't problem too, the staffs always help as well. :)

The location 5 stars! The room was very clean ! Small but if you stay for 1 night it’s perfect every thing that you need you can find , the value I paid for one night + breakfast is amazing, as a couple we really enjoyed and high recommend

It’s not that I didn’t like but it appeared a little bit strange , the location of room one in the dining room , one near hotels toilet. The other thing is that at night we heard some noise from the outside but it’s not depend upon the hotel - young people like to go out at night , anyway it didn’t bother us because we were so tired and didn’t have time to hear the noise and complain , we fall asleep fast .

Location was great! My partner and I were able to walk to pretty much every main attraction in the area. There are many awesome restaurants and shops in the area too. Camilla was wonderful in giving us a map and showing us how to get to the big attractions. Some people on this app rated the breakfast lower but I thought it was more than enough, the cafe lattes they had were great! Camilla and her staff are very friendly and the double security doors made us feel safe. The hotel gives you a card to get into your room, instead of keys (unlike many other air b&bs) which was nice. The hotel is newly renovated with really good AC and looks just like the pictures.

The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the best but the shower is very clean. The double bed we had was two twin beds pushed together, it wasn’t the most comfortable but I’m pretty sure you can book different rooms that don’t have that. Just something to look out for if you decide to book. We chose that option because of the price value.

The room was comfortable, quiet and the location couldn't have been better. The staff was always incredibly helpful and they allowed me to leave my stuff for a few extra hours after checkout. AC and free breakfast are always great to have.

This is no fault of the hotel, but if anyone's travelling in summer I advise to bring mosquito repellent to spray or plug in during the night. The windows don't have mesh nets and mosquitoes in Florence are particularly aggressive.

The girl at the reception desk was fantastic. She took a lot of time to explain the best places and restaurants to visit and how to get there. Also which places rather not to visit. She walked us through the aircon and its ideal setup. I have seen other reviews complaining about the shower temperature and water pressure. But I cannot confirm one or the other. The shower worked perfectly during our stay - and we used it a lot due to the soaring weather. Very good room service.

I would have liked to see bins in the reception hall to be able to separate the rubbish for recycling. There was no such option.

The room was very comfortable and the AC was such a relief to have during the scorching heat. The hotel was very tidy and the room was cleaned everyday. The staff were so nice, welcoming and helpful. The daily breakfast was a treat and the coffee included was great quality. There were so many excellent restaurants in the area and I appreciate that it was walking distance to a lot of nice spots in the city

The shower temperature was inconsistent and the entrance to the bathroom was a bit elevated in my room (probably not all rooms have this design)

A quirky little hotel, easy walking distance from the train station and the main places of interest. The reception staff were very friendly and there is a little roof terrace to sit outside and relax. (You could take your own drinks, little shop selling drinks next door)

No dislikes as such, but our bedroom door opened on to the breakfast room, which was a bit strange, but not a big issue!
