Le Boulevardier, is a lovely quirky hotel , in a fantastic city centre location. The room was lovely, it was very quiet, and the breakfast in the morning was nice and served with a smile. It is nice sometimes to stay somewhere with a bit of local personality and history, rather than a major global hotel group , with a big lobby and lifts !

Old buildings will have their challenges, so I guess the spiral style staircase, would make the hotel not an ideal choice to anyone with mobility issues , or bad knees etc .

We loved the location, and even though it is in a central area it is very quiet at night. The bar downstairs is great for a coffee in the morning or a drink before going out. Staff was friendly. The decor all around the hotel was fun and interesting, even the rooms all have unique paintings or designs.

No complaints. We stayed in Lyon 2 nights and probably should have done 3.

The location was terrific for accessing the sites of Lyon. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was easy for late night arrival.

There is no elevator in the building and the staircase is spiral. The room was very small and cramped. We had to lay our suitcases on a bed in a separate alcove.it was hard to move between the bedside and the wall beside it.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It is 5-minutes far away from the city hall. Breakfast was pretty good, with one croissant, tea or coffe, and a buffet for jam, fruits, and breads. The room was spacious, with one small toilet cabinet and one bathroom with shower and sink. I had double bed and a small table. WI-FI was good.

It was slightly overpriced for the services included, however the location is indeed awesome.

The decor in the hotel was quirky and the retention of the old medieval features was lovely. The bathroom was well lit and the room had interesting decorations. Communication with the hotel was excellent and the staff were very helpful arranging a taxi to the airport when we were hit with a general strike. It is centrally located and close to wonderful bars and restaurants.

The reception/cafe area was not very warm and breakfast had to be pre-booked, as it was collected each morning from the local bakery. The stairs are very steep! The wifi on 2nd floor was not always available.

Great location. Right next to a church in a historical building. Close to the metro station and you can walk anywhere.

No lift so you'll have to climb stairs to get to the higher floor. It will be a challenge for older folks or if you are carrying large luggages.

Fantastic location. Friendly efficient staff who speak excellent English. Check in process easy, excellent communication by email when we had questions. The room is small, but very comfortable with private bathroom and toilet. Perhaps the only thing lacking is in room air conditioning, but there was a powerful fan in the room and large windows to allow for ventilation. Great quirky bar downstairs, the owner gave us great recommendations for dinner. Good, basic breakfast with excellent coffee! Overall a great location and value for money.

Excellent location. Fantastic decor. The room and bathroom was clean and ideal for a short city centre stay. Cedric, the Patron was charming and so helpful, as were other staff. I'm trying to find a reason to return.

I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a quieter hotel. Despite being right in the center so perfect for getting around and seeing everything, it was completely quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was very good.
