The room was very, very nicely designed and very comfortable. They staff were very kind and tried their best to make my stay comfortable. The hotel is a little far from most places in Palo Alto, so you need to use a bus to get anywhere. They provide rental bicycles, but if you read below, you'll find I had a lot of trouble with those.

The only problem I experienced was with the rental cycle that I had booked. The staff very kindly reserved a bicycle for me, but the previous user had lost the helmet and also seemed to have used the bicycle very badly. As I was riding of the first day, the chain broke and I had to push it to the nearest bus stop about 2 miles from where I was. They were also unable to fix the bicycle was my second day. As I was very much looking forward to cycling around Palo Alto over the two days, this trouble significantly impacted on my enjoyment of the stay. It really isn't the fault of the hotel staff. I was basically just unlucky.

The place was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff was great - they refilled small bags of snacks and drinks during each room cleaning. The WiFi was fast, and I loved that there were lots of power outlets and USB chargers everywhere, especially by the bed. Overall, the place was nice and quiet.

Public transportation from the airport and other landmarks was inconvenient, so I ended up using Uber most of the time. This is not necessarily a drawback if you can rent a car, though, as they had plenty of parking spaces as well.

I was thoroughly impressed with our stay! Front desk was so friendly and welcoming! They have complimentary snacks in the office, check in was a breeze, WiFi was great, toiletries available in the bathroom and ROOMS ARE SPOTLESS! They do an amazing job cleaning, you can feel their freshness upon entering! They even had fresh flowers in the bathroom! Heater worked perfect. They have a cute patio area with seating (I didn’t use it though, it was cold). I cannot say enough good things about this place, I will absolutely be returning.

Great find at the last minute and late in the day! The staff is incredibly kind, generous, and helpful. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the entire site immaculately clean. I was truly shocked at how clean this place was, ie not a single speck of dirt or a hair in sight. As someone with OCD, this was wild!! I loved how quiet and comfortable the huge room was. The bathroom is equipped with absolutely everything you may need, and the Inn comps a couple of beverages at check-in. The attention to detail and excellence really makes this place a serious competitor to high-end hotels in the area. I will plan to stay there again on my next trip.

The room was big, very clean, good mattress and shower. The AC was not working properly on my first night, but it was quickly repaired in the next day.

Lights outside the rooms were on during the whole night, impacting on our sleep. Shower of my second room didn’t have blindex, just curtain straight to the floor - so every time I took a shower, the whole bathroom was wet. Also, for those going to Stanford, bear in mind that it is a 15-20m drive to Stanford Campus.

The Palo Alto Inn is in an ideal location. We were able to walk when meeting friends for dinner at one location and for breakfast at another. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and our room included a refrigerator, microwave, and a safe in addition to other amenities. We had a great experience and will be staying there in the future as well. The facility has a charm to it, and the owner has created a nice outdoor seating area for all guests to enjoy.

The room was big enough and comfortable. It smelt nice when I came in and it was fairly clean. It is nice to have a fridge and a microwave in the room too.

The neighbours (both upstairs and next door) where insufferable. You could hear children running around, loud TVs (both of these even past 10pm) and people being very inconsiderate and even calling their family at 7:40am by using the car horn several times and several days in a row. The AC had problems turning on sometimes as it got stuck in a loop. The lighting was a bit insufficient in my opinion, as the room is a bit dark.

I liked how clean the rooms were, I'm that girl who goes and Disinfect all surfaces and highly touched areas, door knobs, etc. So I was surprised I didn't get any anything on the clorox wipes when I went and Disinfected.

I did not like that I can hear the guest above us walking and running past 10pm. You can hear them unpacking and placing their items. We would stay again but in the upstairs rooms to decrease the noise.

Everything about the property. The location, how clean it was and definitely the value. It was cute little boutique hotel. Our room was well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture in the room had a look of a 4 Star Hotel. It definitely didn’t disappoint.

Nothing. This hotel met all my expectations and then some. It was in a great location. A lot of nearby places to eat & shop. Close to the 101 which gives you access to all of the Bay Area.
