Great location. Well priced, affordable accommodation in a grand old style guest house. Very clean. Staff lady was super pleasant and helpful.

Suggestion #1: Put a folding chair in the room; sitting on the bed was awkward and a folding chair would take up no space. Suggestion #2: Put a few rubber buttons on the bathroom door frame outside Room 8. A draft from somewhere in the building caused the door to bump against the door frame all through the night. That is until I got up and placed a thick fold of paper between the base of the door and the frame. It was an annoying problem that you could fix so easily.

Neutral Bay Lodge is in an absolutely fantastic location, making it a great choice for a trip to Sydney. It's so easy to get the ferry into the CBD with a wharf at the end of the street, or you can walk to Military Road for buses to the city, and also Taronga Zoo and Manly in the other direction. You can also walk to the North Sydney Metro station in about 20 minutes. There are several supermarkets in Neutral Bay, plus some good restaurants and cafes. The accommodation is simple and "no frills" but it's comfortable and clean, and there is a commercial-style kitchen with great cooking facilities. The staff are also very lovely and helpful. I will definitely be back for any future stays in Sydney.

The bathroom shower head in the en suite was leaky (room 2) which lowered the pressure, and it couldn't be adjusted properly so it just sagged down unless it was in the absolute highest postition, which doesn't offer the best shower experience! I didn't try the communal showers though. The decor is a little dated but it's still clean and comfortable, so only a minor point for me.

For a compact room with ensuite all needs were met. Kingsize single beds suprisingly very comfortable. Room had two windows to open with lovely street view of passerbys on way to ferry. Suprisingly quiet room and lovely and dark to sleep in in the morning.

Lack of airconditioning. The pedestal fan just doesn't do it and is annoying.

We have stayed there several times as it suits places we want to go in Sydney

They were painting the whole lodge & as I'm allergic to the smell we couldn't stay anymore than 2 nights but they gave us a credit on the 2 nights remaining to use in the next 6 months

Used the shared bathroom facilities and they were excellent! Room a good size and very clean with everything I needed.

Room was a little noisy at night being close to the road could hear cars through the window.

Conveniently located, close to cafes and Neutral Bay ferry wharf. Easy to get to attractions like the Opera House by ferry. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Parking spots are limited. The allocated room was right beside the reception desk, but because we stayed for only a night, we weren't affected by it.

Amazing location, great price, close to the ferry terminal and Hayes St beach. Very clean and friendly staff. also liked the book with all public transport options. Loads of parking around too. There is no aircon which we never use anyway… we were there on a hot day (35degrees) and appreciated being able to open windows! We had blinds down during the day and were fine with just a fan. Will definitely stay again.

it is on a busy road so imagine it will be noisy with commuter traffic on a weekday. we were ok using the fan as white noise.

The location of the accomodation was very good for transport by bus or ferry. The room was very well eqipped, for the comfort of guests and the room was very clean.

The only thing I didn't like were the stairs but that was only when going to the room first, with mu luggage, otherwise it was ok.

Great location, lovely view. My worry was lack of car spaces. I was lucky, and got the last one when I arrived, so that was very handy for taking my bags out, and straight inside. The room was a lovely reminder of the past,, with its high ceiling and space. Everything was very clean.

I had a rehearsal with my music group that night, (the reason I came down to Sydney for the night), but when I returned (about 10:45pm), a large vehicle had taken the car space I'd been in. I knew the space was limited, and I had been notified on the website, so it's not something they could fix. But it did take me 25 minutes of driving around to find a roadside space, about two blocks away.

my room was spacious , clean and comfortable, with a super comfortable bed. My late check in was easy. the bathroom ensuite was very clean and functional. The location is excellent as Neutral Bay is a lovely area and the ferry is ver close by. There are good cafe and restaurants nearby in Hayes St. I really enjoyed my stay. Hood value.

nothing. The only comment would be that a fresh coat of paint inside through the property would bring it all more up to date.
