The Location is excellent for looking around Bourton on the Water, I don't think you could get more central! As the hotel is set back from the road, there was no street noise for us, despite the fact we had a front facing room. The room we had was expensive, however it was decorated as I would expect a building of this age and character. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Safe car parking at the rear of the property in a busy village like this is a real boon.

Can't think of much really. It's an old building, so a problem or two is expected. However, my sister's room had an issue in the bathroom that resulted in them being relocated. However, this was done with no fuss.

location was excellent, the hotel was clean, well maintained and full of historic charm and character

the Garden room (7)was extremely small and poorly laid out. there wasn’t anywhere for our toiletries in the en-suite facilities. insufficient space to store the suitcases. it was so bad that I nearly concussed my partner while opening the en-suite door as she was getting clothes out of the case in the only space available in the room. considering the near£200 a night charge. we felt that the hotel offered poor value for money given the cramped room.

Everything was wonderful. My room was on the first floor in the main building and looked out on the "secret" garden out back. Just charming! Although the room was on the cozy side, it was more than adequate for a solo traveler. The bed was very comfortable and daily housekeeping took care of replenishing towels and straightening the room. The location was perfect for my needs as I was able to use it as a home base and explore the area. Parking is a little tight at the rear of the building But I was able to temporarily park close to the rear entrance to bring my luggage in and out of the building and that helped a lot since they have a gravel driveway. Once your luggage is situated in your room you can go back and park your car in the parking lot. They have a small bar inside the main building with lovely little nooks and crannies where you can sit and enjoy an evening drink. Breakfast was included and was prompt and delicious! There are many shops and restaurants within beautiful walking distance over the little bridges.

I can't say enough about the Dial House. My daughter and I were on a trip together and our flight was cancelled so we were one night off on our accommodations. The staff at the Dial House worked with us to rectify our problem so we could stay on schedule. THANK YOU!!! The outside areas were perfect for "happy hour" and the restaurant served a wonderful breakfast (Try the avocado toast!!) and delicious dinner. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The Inn itself is quaint and beautiful!! We could not have asked for a better two night stay. Thanks again Dial House!!

We loved it all!!

Breakfast was delicious. Room was quirky and nicely decorated. Maxi’s bar in the garden was amazing. Street food at Maxi’s bar also delicious.

Lovely old building. But we were top floor in the eaves, and had to bend constantly to walk anywhere, the door to the actual room was tiny. This was annoying and uncomfortable, and I would have liked to know before booking. Bed was also a small double. Not what I expect for £365 for one Saturday night - this was disappointing. Also check in - reception was unstaffed when we arrived (at check in time). Took quite a while for anyone to realise we wanted to check in.

The location was beautiful . The hotel is in the centre. Other locations were easy to travel to by car.

If you are on a budget, you need to shop around when eating out.Examples of this are a full English breakfast in the Dial is now £21.50 per head. 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone £5 in all nearby outlets. Finally we were allocated room 7 ,a garden room in the Dial. This room we found a bit snug. We are not large people and you couldn't pass one another around the bed space.

The team at the Dial House are fantastic! They made everything feel so special for our stay. They went above and beyond, being well connected with local businesses is really helpful. The icing on the cake was the level of service provided from all the team. The room was very charming. The steak we had for our evening meal was so well presented and cooked to perfection. The breakfast was also lovely, I highly recommend this establishment.

Dial house is a true gem of a property. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful on arrival, when we were lucky enough to be given an upgrade into the ‘Owen’ room, which is a beautifully decorated room with great views over the high street and the river Windrush flowing through the centre. The hotel is perfectly placed to wander around the historic town, but, being set back from the high street, it stil feels plenty private, despite the large numbers of visitors to the town throughout the day (making the private car park behind the property a massive bonus!) Maxi’s bar (a large teepee) in the garden had opened for the season the week before we went, and we’re so glad it had done; it was the perfect combination of contemporary, fun, cosy and relaxed, again helped by the brilliant, friendly and cheerful staff. We had a drink here before heading out for a meal and a cocktail when we got back - the only regret was that we’d already booked to go out for a meal in the first place, especially once we’d had the incredibly enjoyable breakfast in the morning in one of the two gorgeous dining rooms. The bed has got to be about the most comfortable night’s sleep I’ve ever had (to the point where we were trying to find how to get hold of the same mattress, but no such luck as yet!). Having only had the chance of a single night up here from Bristol, we’re already looking to go back and, hopefully for an extra night (or two) next time. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough.

It’s a struggle to find anything! At a push, however, the bath/shower combination arrangement in the room meant that having a bath was much more practical, as there wasn’t really room to stand up and try and shower without soaking the room. That said, as someone who very very rarely uses a bath, it was actually lovely to lie and have a soak whilst watching the sky though the window!

It was a really quaint and vintage getaway, the best to celebrate our engagement. The location is right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-water. The atmosphere is modern yet romantic and the manager generously offered to upgrade us to a premium suite to celebrate the occasion. A truly memorable experience. The fiancè and I are looking forward to making this a tradition going forward.

The room we stayed in was dimly lit, a very small inconvenience given all the positives.

It’s right in the centre of town and there’s parking space as well. It has access to all amenities around the area. We could visit all the tourist areas like the Motor Museum, Perfumery,, The Cotswold Pottery, The Model village etc…. There are loads of eating out areas and River Windrush flows through the middle and it’s extremely beautiful.

We thought the process a bit too high for the room we stayed as the room was slightly small. Other than that everything was okay. The staff were friendly and their service was excellent.
