Clean, classy, free airport shuttle. Thankful receptionist told me how Lyft/Uber are faster and cheaper to cruise port than the $20 shuttle which I gladly avoided

I thought it was a little overpriced and did not even include little breakfast. Also I accidentally went to two other Marriotts first and walked up to their check in desk because I couldn’t find this specific one

We missed breakfast, checking in was pleasant, the room was clean.

The first shuttle driver pulled up, we walked over to the van waiting for him to park and instead he took off. I requested a slightly later checkout so we could have lunch before leaving it was 11:00am, the young lady at the front desk flatly said no because I’m not a member using a harsh tone. I am a previous Bonvoy member and had considered renewing however based on this experience I have reconsidered.

It’s a surprisingly beautiful property with its own small strip mall of restaurants and clothing stores. I was very surprised at the quality of the newly built hotel. The rooms were large and very clean!

I love that the hotel had its own small food and retail community. It had an amazing view of the Hardrock Hotel by the pool. I find that it’s so beautiful that you don’t even need to leave the area unless you want to go to Miami or to Las Olas

We liked the location - we laid down for a spell then we walked out and around the corner to get a bite. The location is in a town center with multiple restaurants, bowling, various shops and even a comedy spot. We also appreciated the free shuttle to FLL airport, the driver got us the within 20 mins.

A little confusing during checking - the valet told us that our rooms wont be ready until 2pm and it was like 10:30 am at the time. He told us to leave our bags with him and he'll bring them up around 2pm - but that did not work for us because my wife wanted to change her clothes. So I proceeded to go to the front desk and ask if I could check in and the lady said "YES" and proceeded to check me in. I then went back downstairs and told the valet who looked surprised what the lady said and then he proceeded to load our bags on a luggage cart and brought them to our room.

The location was perfect. Close to the cruise port and airport. Walking distance to shopping and eating.

We ask 6 different people about the shuttle to the airport. We had a flight at 5AM and were concerned about getting to the airport. We were told by 6 different employees the e airport shuttle runs 24/7 no worries be outside at 5 minutes to 3AM and everything will be fine. We were outside at 2:45AM and a gentleman comes out that is also going to the airport and he tells us nope shuttle does not run between 2-4. The front desk called a taxi for him. So off we go to the front desk and yes she tells us No the shuttle does not run between 2-4 and called us a taxi that we had to pay for. We paid extra for the hotel for the free shuttle.

The property was new and fresh as seen in the cleanliness of the rooms and modern features. We were also pleased with close location to Port Everglades where we were heading the following day for a ten day cruise. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

First, the hotel smelled heavenly upon entering for first time. The room was decorated and arranged beautifully. Room was quiet and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There was hot tea & bottled water available in the room. The amenities were great. I loved the pillow spray as an added touch. The property was in easy walking to restaurants and shopping. Free airport shuttle. There are bikes available for guests to use.

Desk staff was professional and helpful, lots of USB hook-ups bedside and around the room. Breakfast buffet ($$) was excellent and the staff and chef did an amazing job of packing a breakfast to take to my wife who was not feeling well and needed to stay in the room.

Desk staff didn't know anything about the restaurant operations because "they are separate" so could not answer some questions about the breakfast the next morning, and no one was around from the restaurant. Water supply like to toilet had slow leak which left a puddle on the floor daily. Shower seal at the bottom was off so water leaked onto the floor and soaked the bath mat every time it was used and there was nothing I could do about it. Carpet had some stains bedside already though the place if fairly new. One day this will be a fabulous location, but for not, mostly just construction around it.

The service provided by the young lady who greeted us at check-in and later granted us a late check-out was first-rate. Great location. Impeccably clean and well-maintained, as one would expect from a Marriott.

On the other hand, the service provided by the young man during check-out bordered on rudeness.

The location was ideal.

Firstly, the GPS initially took us to the AC Marriott and not Marriott Fort Lauderdale but luckily, the distance was not far to get to the right hotel. Secondly, the valet service needs improvements. It takes to long for the valet to retrieve your car. I don't expect to send a text message for my car before I leave my room, continue dressing, leave my room and make my way downstairs and still have to wait. That's more than 8 minutes notice and still no car. However, I'm willing to accept that the hotel is fairly new, and some things have to be ironed out until they get it right.
