The view! Sitting on the terrace up in Volastra was the Cinque Terre dream come true. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful (set you up nicely for a day of hiking). Two restaurants and a small shop were handy but with some planning (and do book!) dinner down in Manarola doable. Just don’t miss the bus, it’s a long walk up!) I would recommend fully for a great stay away from the crowds.

Best view in Cinque Terre! Room was clean and large. Had more than expected towels and toiletries. Staff was so welcoming, helping us with transport and pleasant at any time. Breakfast was just fabulous! Best value for price you can find in Cinque Terre coast.

If you come with a train it is little far from Manarola. It is located in Volastra which is reachable by foot (40mins) or by bus (15mins). But being farther from the cost and on a hill top, makes the view so wonderful! You will forget about the travel time.

A couple of days before our arrivel it came out that something went wrong with our room’s bathroom so we needed to go to another accomodation. We were afraid that it would be far away from Luna di marzo and we’ve chosen the hotel because of the spectaculare view to the sea so we would not be able to see it. Luckily the staff did everything to make us comfortable and we could eat our breakfast at the terrace of Luna di Marzo and we could enjoy the view and the sunset for the whole staying :)

Looking at the sunset from your balcony, is really something awesome. If it’s on Le 5 terre, that’s even more! Great hosts and good breakfast. Very quiet and spacious rooms. We asked if we could stay one more it was fully booked (for good reasons!)

Very kind and supportive staff. Very good breakfast. Very nice, quite location with really extraordinary view on the sea and coast of Cinque Terre. Room is relatively large. Large terrace with tables for breakfast and afternoon´s drink, also with chairs and sunbeds with view on the sea. Restaurant is close to the hotel (about 3 min by walk). Good position for walking tours to 5Terre villages.

No sound insulation - you can hear almost everything from next room. Room is large, but almost no furniture for clothing, we had to have it in suitcases... Parking on the village might be a problem (as everywhere in 5Terre).

Location, and view great. Too much hill walking for not physically prepared, but not your fault!

The great weather, patio , just all was great air conditioning needs updating wonderful location, staff, weather, would definitely stay again and recommend!

The view was simply amazing! The breakfast area was outside but in shadow so even though it was very warm we were still comfortable. The staff was friendly and gave us the necessary information for getting around. Room was simple, we were ok with the a/c and the wifi worked. We used the bus connection from Manarola to Volastra to get to the hotel, which was about 2 mins from the bus stop. We had bought the Cinque Terre train card and the bus was included in the train card price. We hiked the beautiful trail from Volastra to Corniglia and it was probably the best experience we had during the trip in Italy.

Spectacular location perfect for hiking to Manarola and Corniglia. Facilities were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a huge treat and very generous. We unfortunately arrived very late at night and it was challenging to find the location. We were grateful the staff waited to check us in. The language barrier between us and the staff was challenging but we managed. They sometimes seemed gruff and did not offer much assistance in navigating the area. But overall, it was a terrific location with a breathtaking view!

Staff could be more engaging and helpful. Instructions of dos and don’ts in English would mean less reprimanding for them

Loved the views. Although a long way from town.

Location is perfect to get away from the busy towns. Its high above the hills with the most amazing view and sunset. Total relaxation. Room was big, bed was good. Breakfast was buffet with lots of choices. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and nice to chat to. A mini bus runs up and down to Manarola on a regular basis. €2.50 one way. This is a great place for hill walkers.

Trying to find it. Park your car at the church, have someone stay with the car. Walk downhill with church on the right, turn right at the restaurant, walk about 20M take the steps down on the left, go past 1st dwelling on right, more down the steps and you have arrived. And you cannot bring your own food or wine till after 9pm
