I didn't see the staff while we were there because we were out and about most of the time, but I rated them highly because of their communication before our arrival, as well as the daily condition of the facilities. The hostel is right across the street from a gas station, pizza, and a Bonus. It was easy getting to and from the ring road. We spent 2 peaceful evenings here. Every area was clean, and the guests seemed very respectful of the shared spaces and each other. The dining area had lots of tables, and there was free instant coffee, tea, and hot cocoa packets. Our room had comfortable beds, a desk, and a few chairs, plus a sink and mirror. I wouldn't mind staying here again!

Modern and well equipped hostel in the centre of Akureyri. A good ratio of bathrooms to rooms. Large and well-equipped kitchen. We were offered a discount cuppon to a nice bakery (although it's a bit further away than just "in front").

The door locking electronic mechanism is totally automatic, and so very prone to failure. We had a lot of trouble trying to open the 2nd floor door and had to use another door to enter the building. Not an hostel problem, but other guests didn't always clean after themselves in the bathroom.

We stayed in the double room with bathroom. It was tiny but not a problem for one night. The hostel interior looks recently renovated so everything is clean and modern.

The bathroom in our room could use a face lift. Self checkin is convenient but the lock on the main door didn’t really work so took a while until we figured out how to unlock it. There could be more kettles in the shared kitchen as it was pretty crowded there in the morning and there was just one.

I was a little wary of staying in a “hostel” but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious enough for two travel buddies and the beds were comfortable. The place is impeccably clean and I’m very impressed with the cleaning staff. The bathrooms are shared but there are enough to go around and I never had an issue with access. The kitchen/dining space is amazing. There is a Bonus grocery store within walking distance. One thing we didn’t realize before buying a frozen pizza was that there’s no oven (or at least we didn’t see one).

The only thing I would suggest would be better light-blocking blinds in the bedrooms. This summer sun is no joke.

Very good location, its a little far from down town but Bónus (Supermarket) and Glerártorg (Small mall) is in 5-10 minutes walking distance. Also its free to hop in a bus in Akureyri and you can also rent a electric scooter. I really liked that you can keep food in the fridge and freezer, just need to mark it your room number. Also you can cook your food in the kitchen. It has a comfy vibes to sit and relax both in the lobby on both floors and also in the dining room. You coldu rent a room as a group and cook dinner together. I have not stayed in a hostel where you can do that. There was free coffe and tea. There were many toilets og also a few showers.

Its a old house so it understandable, but i found the bathroom was a little un-comfortable. Dark and cold vibes. Maybe time for a little makeover there.

Clean hostel, modern and stylish. Very cosy atmosphere. Toilets and showers immaculate. Very efficient check-in procedure. Location ideal, bus stop for free city bus literally outside the hostel. Cheap supermarket 2 min walk away. It's great to have tea bags and coffee provided.

Need non-stick frying pans. The ones provided take a while to clean after frying. No mirror in room.

Rooms are beautiful and parking free. The whole acccommodation is beautiful and very well set out.

Kitchen is too small for the amount of people that this accommodation holds. Before arriving at the accommodation, we called to ask if there was an oven, in which they said that there was. However unfortunately there wasn't. Only a space for one! It made cooking our pizzas difficult, especially since we were a family of 8 persons!

We really liked, that even it was city hostel it was very clean and the bathrooms was beautiful. We really appreciate the coffee machine and also tea bar and equipment in the kitchen. It was feeling good to sit in the "winter garden" and have dinner there. The place was also very queit you cannot hear neighbors talking. The grocery shop Bónus is right next to the accomandation, there is good situated parking place and the downtown is 10 minutes walk.

Excellent location. Good facilities (kitchen, dining, bathrooms). Very quiet, even though the hostel was busy. Bonus supermarket 400m away. Beds were comfortable.

Only gripe is access to the building and rooms. They are controlled through a keypad and PIN but are extremely temparemtal. Management even note at the entrance that several attempts to enter may be needed. This is not acceptable.

The hostel was very clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was nice, the showers were spacious. Right off Route 1, easy to find.

More toilets and possibly even more showers would have been nicer, but it was manageable. I think one of the pots in the kitchen (second floor) might not work with the induction cooktop, 6 of us tried to figure out why the stove top kept turning off until someone finally grabbed a different pan. A bit of a trek from downtown, but I knew that going in, so not a deal breaker
